Consumer Complaint: My XXXX loans are still appearing on my credit reports ( XXXX and XXXX ) as active. These loans were discharged through PSLF and I received notice of this discharge on XX/XX/2023. It has been a significant time since this, including the arbitrary XXXX days stated by XXXX, and there is no reason why these are still appearing as active loans on my credit report. I have contacted the company multiple times and have not been able to get a coherent reason as to what is happening and why these loans are still on my credit report. I would like these accounts closed and loans removed from my credit report immediately.

Consumer Complaint: I have reached out multiple times through letters to Equifax, XXXX, and XXXX concerning inaccuracies in my consumer credit profile. These inaccuracies include incorrectly reported late payments, credit utilization details, and personal information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, and employers. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), specifically outlined in 15 USC 1681, consumer reporting agencies like Equifax, XXXX, and XXXX are mandated to handle their responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and respect for consumer privacy. As a consumer, I have the inherent right to protect my private information, supported by 15 USC 6801, emphasizing the obligation of financial institutions, including information furnishers, to uphold customer privacy and safeguard nonpublic personal information. According to 15 USC 1681, Section 604 ( a ), consumer reporting agencies must strictly adhere to the written instructions of the concerned consumer. I assert that Equifax, XXXX, and XXXX, as furnishers of information to credit agencies, lack the right or written consent from me to furnish my information. I hereby revoke all forms of consent, whether verbal, non-verbal, written, or implied. Moreover, under 15 USC 6802 ( b ) ( c ), financial institutions, including furnishers, can not disclose nonpublic personal information to third parties without informing consumers about how to exercise their nondisclosure option. The failure of furnishers to inform me of this right is a notable omission. Additionally, 15 USC 1681C ( a ) ( 5 ) prohibits consumer reporting agencies from including adverse information without proper authorization, which, in this case, violates the law. Furthermore, as per 15 U.S. Code 1681s2 ( A ) ( 1 ), agencies are prohibited from knowingly furnishing inaccurate consumer information. Equifax, XXXX, and XXXX are required to maintain reasonable procedures, as mandated by 15 U.S. Code 1681e, to prevent violations and limit the furnishing of consumer reports. Reporting transaction history is deemed illegal under this code. Lastly, 15 USC 1681 ( c ) states that no adverse items, besides convictions of crimes, should be on the consumer credit profile. Any derogatory mark added to the consumer report without written consent could be considered identity theft under 12 CFR 1022.3. In light of the above, I request the following actions : 1. Immediate deletion of all negative or derogatory accounts on the consumer credit profile from XXXX, Equifax, and XXXX. 2. Removal of credit utilization details ; it should only display the amount of the credit line, not the utilization level. This information is private between me and the financial institution. Immediate update across all three credit agencies. XXXX. Correction of personal information to include only one name ( XXXX XXXX ), one address ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX ), one phone number ( XXXX ) and no employers. Immediate deletion of any information that does not conform to this. 4. Immediate deletion of personal statements on the XXXX consumer report and balancing of credit scores. 5. Immediate notation on the consumer credit profile, citing 15 USC 1681 ( c ), which states that no adverse items, besides the conviction of crimes, should be present. This notation should be made in XXXX, Equifax, and XXXX systems. 6. A claim of {$1000.00} per violation. 7. Immediate deletion of personal statements on the XXXX consumer report and balancing of credit scores. I expect a prompt and thorough investigation into these matters as mandated by the FCRA, with corrections made within the stipulated timeframe. Please find attached supporting documentation for your reference.

Consumer Complaint: This is in reference to : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Account ending in XXXX Balance due : {$4800.00} I trust this message finds you well. I've been reviewing my credit report and came across some information that raised a few questions. In my exploration, I delved into the Fair Credit Reporting Act, specifically 15 USC 1681, section 602, which highlights the need for consumer reporting agencies to exercise their responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and respect for consumers ' right to privacy. As a consumer, I've been thinking about my rights and responsibilities in this context. According to 15 USC 6801, it is the policy of Congress that each financial institution has an affirmative and continuing obligation to respect the privacy of its customers and protect the security and confidentiality of their nonpublic personal information. Digging deeper, I found 15 USC 1681, section 604, which outlines the circumstances under which a consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report. It explicitly mentions that they can do so only in accordance with the written instructions of the consumer to whom it relates. I want to emphasize that I haven't given any written consent for the sharing of my information, and this concerns me. Furthermore, 15 USC 6802 ( b ) ( c ) notes that a financial institution may not disclose nonpublic personal information to a non-affiliated third party unless the consumer is given an explanation of how they can exercise the nondisclosure option. To my knowledge, I have not been informed of such an option. I also stumbled upon 15 USC 1681c ( a ) ( 5 ), which states that no consumer reporting agency may make a consumer report containing adverse information without authorization. It appears that an adverse item is being reported without my permission, which, according to 15 U.S. Code 1681s2 ( A ) ( 1 ) A, is against the law. The Act further mandates that consumer reporting agencies maintain reasonable procedures designed to avoid violations of the statute. Unfortunately, it seems that Equifax and XXXX may not be following these guidelines, as indicated in 15 U.S. Code 1681e. Lastly, I discovered in 12 CFR 1016.7 that a consumer has the right to opt out of reporting services at any time. I'm choosing to exercise that right. I wanted to bring these specific sections of the Act to your attention and discuss how we can address these concerns. Your insights on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I recently viewed my credit report and noticed that there are late payments from XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX reporting that were covered during the CARES act and pandemic. I called each creditor and made accommodations to ensure my credit would not be impacted from my hardship of being laid off. I've also requested verification from the CRAs ( XXXX, XXXX, and Equifax ) XX/XX/2023 and XX/XX/2023 and have not received an update as to why my accounts are showing any late payments. Furnishing this information to my profile is in violation of 15 USC 1681 s-2 ( F ). The late should not be reporting. As agreed, the accounts have been paid, reporting any billing errors is now in violation of 15 USC 1666B. I was assured that my accounts would remain in current status due to the accommodation.
