( B ) Reporting information after notice and confirmation of errors A person shall not furnish information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if ( i ) the person has been notified by the consumer, at the address specified by the person for such notices, that specific information is inaccurate; and ( ii ) the information is, in fact, inaccurate. Consumer Complaint: Credit bureau has been complicit with XXXX XXXX XXXX reporting inaccurate account status for approximately 3 years. Account disputes results in more inaccurate changes which continues to damage my credit rating. The consistent inaccurate reporting is a defamation of character and is harmful to fair and equitable access to credit. XXXX XXXX XXXX : 1. Account has been charged off since XX/XX/XXXX. 2. Last Payment Reporting = XX/XX/XXXX. 3. Account is reporting unrecognized and conflicting payment history compared to payments shown in balance history. 4. Payment status changes when charge off status is removed, however, balance remains the same or slightly increases. 5. Each time account is disputed, the credit bureau allows the creditor to change the reporting history without proof or documentation verification. XXXX XXXX : The lender has a pattern of reporting positive history to claim charge off for tax fraud. XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX reported account as up to date after charge off XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX.
