Consumer Complaint: I have followed all the necessary procedures for disputing these accounts and have exhausted all avenues of resolution. I have contacted the bank, law enforcement agencies, and credit reporting agencies. XXXX and XXXX have removed the accounts per legal requirement, but for some strange reason, Equifax feels that I am not following all the steps. This is the sixth complaint I have filed against them, and every time I get the same ridiculous response. They make absurd claims that the documents I have submitted are not valid. I am at my wit 's end after submitting my claim with Equifax for over six months. I know that consumer laws and the courts are very lenient with the banks and credit reporting agencies, so filing a lawsuit is a waste of energy. However, I demand that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) look closely at this case because it seems like Equifax is failing to meet their legal requirement to process the identity theft report. I have filed it with a law enforcement agency, and IdentityTheft.gov is a federal law enforcement agency. I want to see this matter handled properly. Account : XXXX - XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX Open Date : XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX Balance : {$15000.00}. All this grief from identity theft and not having any access to my credit is creating a ton of emotional and physical distress. It is causing a great deal of strain in my work and personal lives. I am losing my mind because I have no other recourse.
