I recently discovered that my personal information was shared with a third party without my permission. This seems to go against the rules outlined in the Fair Credit Reporting Act. According to my understanding of the law, I have the right to know and control who gets my personal information. However, my report shows that some details were shared without giving me the chance to say no. I want to clarify that my problem is not with the companies I owe money to but with your agency for sharing my information without asking me first. According to the law, you're supposed to get my written consent before reporting my personal information, and I haven't given that consent.
