Consumer Complaint: Subject : Demand for Action Against Equifax FCRA Violation Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to demand immediate action against Equifax for non-compliance with the FCRA, specifically 15 U.S.C. 1681i, 1681e ( b ), and 1681s-2 ( a ), regarding the accuracy and verification of consumer credit information. On XXXX, I disputed inaccuracies on my Equifax credit report for the following accounts, which were improperly reported as charged off : XXXX XXXX XXXX, Account # XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Account # XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Account # XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Account # XXXX XXXX XXXX Account # XXXX Despite my request for proof of charge-offs or deletion of these accounts per the FCRA, Equifaxs response was inadequate, failing to provide the necessary documentation or correct the report. Additionally, Equifax failed to furnish the requested proof of charge-offs for the disputed accounts. Instead, they chose to update unrelated details, a response that not only falls short of addressing the core issues raised but also deviates from the FCRA 's directives. This approach is not only unhelpful but also adds layers of inaccuracy to a report already marred by the significant data breach, further undermining the integrity of my credit history. Acknowledging Equifaxs removal of the collection account, I nonetheless demand the deletion of the remaining accounts per FCRA guidelines, following their data breach which compromised my information. Enclosed are relevant documents supporting my case. I urge your agency to enforce the FCRA and ensure Equifax corrects these violations promptly. Thank you for addressing this urgent matter. Sincerely, XXXX Enclosures : Dispute Letter, Equifax XXXX Report, Proof of Data Breach Involvement
