Consumer Complaint: MIdland Funding ( Supervisor XXXX XXXX, XXXX ) and XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) have pursued legal action and have been successful in garnishment of my wages. My employer has verified satisfaction of the garnishment. Ive reached out to both creditors asking if I could receive a letter of satisfaction being as though the debt was satisfied and was advised the account will not be updated until the money is actually received from the courts. Midland Funding through the online court system verified satisfaction of the debt and still wont update. Im not even sure how they are able to pursue such action as they are NOT the original creditor. Ive pleaded with both companies being as though Im in the process of purchasing a home and this is delaying the process and neither would budge, my employer was willing to furnish this information and that wasnt enough. My back is against the wall, not only will they not furnish a satisfied letter, they wont update the credit report. As the nation is facing this crisis Ive reached out to the courts to confirm receipt of wages and unfortunately unsuccessful as well. Im asking for your assistance in this matter.

Oddly Midland has sent another person 's personal information to me. Midland sent my personal information the other person. Because Midland has initiated a court collection against this other person, unknown to me, this is very serious as it involves them sending personal information.

Consumer Complaint: There was an overpayment made on an XXXX account I had with Midland Credit Management. To that effect, Midland Credit Management sent me a statement last month that shows I have overpaid them in the amount of {$140.00}. However, the company has never issued a refund check. What's worst is when I contacted them today, their representative 's attitude seems to be, they will sit on the money for as long as they want. This money is not there, they have no legal right to keep it, and they are blackmailing me in an attempt to make me pay on another issue using the {$140.00} overpayment as bait. This is an example of the worst kind of business practice. Not only is it unethical it is illegal and quite frankly the CFPB should be ashamed. This agency was created to prosecute bad business practices. Instead, under the Trump Administration, it seems to be a placebo in an attempt to appeal to voters by saying they are doing something while they are actively doing whatever they can to benefit these bad business actors. Frankly, if someone were to use me that way, then they should at least buy me dinner first. Midland Credit Management has 48 hours to cut a refund check to me for the {$140.00} overpayment or I will file a lawsuit!

Consumer Complaint: Midland funding is by far the worst debt collection company I ever dealt with. They are rude nasty liars. they are trying to collect a debt that they can not prove that I owe. They harass me, called me out of my name and threatened to sue me, even pretended to be lawyers. The so call debt that they are lying stating I owe are as listed : XXXX XXXX for {$640.00} XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX they have no proof that I open these accounts. no ID to show proof that I opened these accounts. Please be advised that this is not a refusal to pay, but a notice sent pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 USC 1692g Sec. 809 { b } that your claim is disputed and validation is requested. This is NOT a request for verification or proof of my mailing address, but a request for VALIDATION made pursuant to the above-named Title and Section. I respectfully request that your offices provide me with competent evidence that I have any legal obligation to pay you. Consumer Complaint: Midland is reporting in my credit file however it is inaccurate because it was said to be late, yet all the payments are OK. I do not think that this is mine. I did my research on what to do because it is affecting my scores to badly, I asked for documents, disclosure and where did the account come from but they failed to provide me, so I came online and researched. The plaintiff is asking the same thing that I wanted and at the end of it all the plaintiff won this case. I am talking about the Texas VS Midland Funding Case. I have learned that Midland claims to have a disclosure and an agreement that there is a Consumer Agreement for all who they are collecting from. I guarantee you that there is no such thing that I have agreed upon to.
