Consumer Complaint: Midland Funding is reporting a debt on my credit that is not mine. I recently checked my credit file and noticed this debt on there. It looks like they are trying to collect for XXXX XXXX. I have never opened an account with XXXX XXXX or any retail credit cards and this is someone else 's collection. I've had the same issue of receiving things for someone with a similar name. This debt is not mine and should not be reporting on my credit. I suggest Midland Funding finds who this debt belongs to.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX, I got a court summons that I was being sued by Midland Credit Management over a XXXX XXXX account. Prior to this statement, I did not even know that Midland owned the account. I hadn't received any other type of notification from Midland regarding this account. I tried calling to work out a payment plan or a settlement but they would not accept anything because it was already in legal collections. I have gone online and made two payments and contacted them multiple times since then to try to make arrangements but they continue to tell me that they plan to sue and not work with me even though I am trying to make payments and work this out. I asked to speak to a manager and they wouldn't transfer me to anyone when I called today. The collector didn't notify me of the full mini miranda when I called today as well.

Consumer Complaint: On or around XX/XX/XXXX Midland Credit management obtained my credit report and filed a collection account on my credit report. Upon realizing later on that this account was filed and it did not belong to me, I submitted a dispute. The dispute was completed on or around XX/XX/XXXX through XXXX and around XX/XX/XXXX for XXXX and the credit bureaus found this account to be inaccurate and did not belong to me and resulted in a deletion. On XXXX XXXX, I was served with a lawsuit. I did not get any communication during the entire time from the date it was placed in my credit file ( which I noticed by being diligent with checking for errors ) following this lawsuit regarding an attempt to collect a debt. On XXXX XXXX I filed an answer in court that the account does not belong to me. I followed up with the law firm representing the collection agency on XX/XX/XXXX spoke to XXXX and she said that the account is in dispute ( for the second time ) and I have not been given any communication about the debt or dispute. I have proof that the original account they claim I have ownership of, is not mine and I have proof of the dispute. I would like to file a complaint. Please contact me regarding this issue.

Consumer Complaint: Midland Credit Management has been sending me collection notices for a debt that isn't mine. I have written and asked for validation and copies of all statements. Each time I write they write back and say that they don't understand what I am asking for. It's a delay tactic to cover for the fact that this is an invalid debt.

Consumer Complaint: midland funding has two judgements against me and in XXXX by phone they said the first one was paid and knowing I could not afford 3 payments a month, I worked out a payment plan in XXXX for the second one for {$97.00}. my credit report in XXXX reflected I owed midland {$9.00} for the first one. In XXXX midland stopped garnishing me for the first one. Then in XXXX, midland has garnished me twice for {$100.00} each, for the first one. My employer can't stop them for taking money from me even though the garnishment should have been paid off already. I don't know what to do. I can not afford to pay midland {$330.00} a month.
