Consumer Complaint: Midland credit management had gotten an account to a credit card that was closed, when MCM contacted me they told me if i didnt set up a payment agreement with them they would take me to court, take my home or my wifes car if i lost in court to pay the debt, i set up a payment agreement for {$50.00} a month until paid in full was informed that if I canceled the agreement they would claim the full amount from my bank account and if they could not get the full amount from my bank account they would take me to court, i filed a complaint with CFPB due to them reporting missed payments but not payments made, their responce to the complaint was to stop the pay agreement, they refused to answer any calls i made to them for over a month, during the time of 30 days they had reported missed payments to XXXX and reported collection to XXXX XXXX XXXX has already removed this account from my report because MCM lied on the report, reporting missed payments the whole time, i sent screenshots of my bank account and letters MCM sent me showing payments made ( i still have the proof ) now the MCM has stopped the pay agreement as their responce for me filing a complaint with CFPB this is retaliation as they are damaging my report even worse then before! All i wanted was for them to report payments made as even though they was reporting the balance it was not explaining how payments was being made, i have been denied all forms of credit because of what they have done, they even lied to me on the phone saying they can not remove it from my credit report as they " didnt put it there '' so i know for a fact everything they are saying is a lie, so for this Retaliation, falure to accept payment, falsly reporting to credit bureaus and deception practices, i want them to remove this account from my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: I filed a dispute with XXXX regarding the derogatory credit reporting from this creditor. XXXX XXXX XXXX responded to XXXX advising that the file was accurate and correct and no action will be taken. I respond back to XXXX XXXX XXXX in which I submitted a request for Verification of Debt which they received on XX/XX/XXXX ( I sent the letter via registered mailed through the USPS ). As of the date of this letter, XXXX XXXX XXXX has failed to respond back to my request. I re-disputed the case with XXXX once again as identify theft in which XXXX XXXX XXXX again just responded that the file was accurate and refused to remove the derogatory reporting. The failed to provide me nor XXXX any documentation to support their position and due to the failed to comply with the Request for Verification of Debt within the 30-days timeframe, the file must be removed. I filed a police report ( confirmation # XXXX ) with the XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. I do not owe them, and they do not owe me anything. My request is simply to have this inaccurate file removed.

Consumer Complaint: Received a voice message from XXXX ( identified as United States ) stating the message was for XXXX XXXX XXXX, requesting a callback at XXXX. I called the number provided spoke to " XXXX '' who stated the matter would be investigated and they would continue to attempt to collect the outstanding debt from 2017 from a pay day lender ( XXXX XXXX ). I informed " XXXX '' I had never heard of XXXX XXXX, she then asked me if I knew " XXXX XXXX '', which I replied no, she asked if I knew " XXXX XXXX '', I once again replied no. When I attempted to ask her for the documentation she hung up on me. Irritated, I called the XXXX number again and spoke with " XXXX ''. I retold the story, he asked me to confirm the last 4 digits of my social security number when he read them off. I confirmed and advised I had no knowledge of such a debt and to please provide me written documentation. He asked if a very old address was my current address, I advised him that his information was incorrect. He also then disconnected the call. I believe this is a collection company called Midland, they are clearly using improper tactics and not providing full details when they are making these accusatory telephone calls. I attempted to call the XXXX number again, only to discover it was now " Out of Service ''.

Consumer Complaint: Ive been disputing this collection from my credit report for months now because there was so much missing information in the report. Im fully under the impression that Midland is incorrect and the collections account has caused severe issues in my financial life. Upon looking over my documents, Im realizing that the balance theyre attempting to collect on is not even correct. The balance on all 3 credit bureaus is listed as XXXX when the balance for the account in question was XXXX & Im sure I never made any payment to the original creditor nor to Midland. Each time Ive disputed the account with a bureau, midland adds more information to the report or adjusts existing information, but it has not been deleted. This has all occurred after being hounded by them with calls last summer repeatedly, most likely because the alleged debt was falling out of the statute of limitations in my state of Maryland. They would call at odd times from different numbers daily so it was nearly impossible to find peace at that time. Currently, the amount is incorrect, on XXXX theyve listed the account as Open Account while listed as Debt Buyer on XXXX, theyre now reporting late payments on XXXX beginning 6 months ago which is a completely arbitrary and inaccurate start time for non payment as Ive never paid a cent to Midland . On XXXX, they listed the original creditor as Midland Credit when this is impossible because to my knowledge they dont even offer credit. I never received any letter from them prior to the calls and credit bureau reports & Im not sure what address they have on file. Im not sure of the time that Midland purchased the credit but Im almost positive it is prior to the XX/XX/2022 date that theyve listed. At times Im afraid they will attempt to sue me and I will be hit with a default judgement because I am not receiving any correspondence. All the information is in shambles and I want it gone. Not altered and doctored as they realize the information theyre reporting is inaccurate & at this point I am prepared to sue.

Consumer Complaint: I owed XXXX XXXX. XXXX dollars and planned to pay off the debt. I suffered XXXX XXXX XXXX and during the Covid-19 pandemic. I was not able to remain employed as a XXXX of which I had been gainfully employed in since the early XXXX until around XXXX. I have since lived off of about XXXX a month. Of that amount, my mortgage alone takes up almost half of. I explained to Midland Credit that I would like to pay them a lesser amount and they said that it would be impossible for that. So now they want me to pay XXXX as a one time payment, or XXXX dollars over 24 months, or lastly, XXXX for 27 years. I feel that I have no other choice but to file bankruptcy because I know that poverty begets poverty and negativity. Thank you, with kind regards.
