Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Information belongs to someone else
Consumer Complaint: Discovered unknown address in XXXX, GA listed ( from sometimes in XXXX XXXX to sometimes in XX/XX/XXXX ) on my credit report ( reported by Midland credit management/MCM ) when applied for a credit card at XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. Discovered items purchased with a fraudulent credit card from XXXX XXXX The items purchased are not ones in the brand I have ever used, and I don't even have kids to be buying children 's stuff. Account was applied in XX/XX/XXXX, by stealing my identity, but with that unknown address in XXXX above. My credit report shows that unpaid debt was charged off on XX/XX/XXXX, and the following month it was sold to MCM above, who also reported the debt ( fraudulent ) with that address in XXXX above. They must have gotten that address from an ID theft who stole my identity, because I wasn't the one opening the account. Filed a claim with both companies within the last month or two, but XXXX wouldn't want to be responsible to fix their report to mark it as fraudulent, and MCM denied the claim and told me to file a police report, and so I did file a police report on XX/XX/XXXX. Also filed with FTC, who is assisting me with a recovery plan.

Consumer Complaint: I pulled my credit reports around the end of XXXX. I noticed Midland Credit management was reporting as a collection. On XXXX the XXXXXXXX XXXX I sent them a debt validation letter asking them to validate that I owed this debt. I received two documents back from them on XX/XX/2022. I have attach all supporting documents .. nothing in these two documents prove, I owe this debt or if it's even mine. I tried to dispute it with the credit bureau 's twice with supporting documents and they keep saying it accurate. It isn't accurate and it's hurting my credit by reporting inaccurate information.
