Consumer Complaint: I have tried sending letters to Midland Credit Management even as early as XX/XX/XXXX requesting validation. Enclosed your going to find pictures of the letters I have sent to Midland Credit Management via certified mail. In over 5 months I have not gotten validation of the debt and it has impacted me. I gave Midland Credit Management 30 days to validate the debt and to correct their records. I have tried in good faith to have them correct their records to no avail. I need help. This has impacted housing, interest rates and other aspects of my life and I still tried to do the right thing and reach out to have the debt validated. This company is now reporting to all 3 major credit agencies information that is not validated and has caused me struggle for no reason. I gave them 30 days and its been over 5 months and there is still no validation or investigation for them to correct their records.

Consumer Complaint: Midland Credit Management claims I owe them a debt they collected from a XXXX XXXX XXXX, which they purchased on XX/XX/XXXX. They had called me in the spring of XXXX and I verbally told them to cease and desist. The calls stopped and in late XXXX of XXXX, I had received a letter from them which was a " pre-legal noice. '' In that letter it stated I had until XX/XX/XXXX to contact them to make payment arrangements or face possible legal action. This prompted me to file a complaint against them with the CFPB in XXXX, as they were threatening to file negative legal action against me. I had mentioned that I am in a financial hardship in my original complaint against them with the CFPB and they had responded stating that they would table it for 90 days. I then was advised by several friends of mine who are attorneys to send them a certified letter of a cease and desist notice, so I did. I then received a letter stating the debt is mine, though I have never heard of XXXX XXXX. See attached file. I know they got my cease and desist letter as I received the green signature card that was attached to be back of the envelop the cease and desist notice was enclosed in. Again see attached files. Their communications again violated my cease and desist order. I had also warned them in my letter that if the proceed with any legal action, I would go to the Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Board and file a complaint against the attorney representing Midland Credit Management, should they make the mistake to take legal action. I had three attorneys suspended before and will gladly do it again. I want Midland Credit Management and their subsidiary, Midland Funding not to contact me anymore, I would like them to consider this debt as uncollectible and take it off my credit report. I would also like to see a Federal investigation on the operations of Midland Credit Management, as they use questionable collections tactics and they do not have a good reputation from what I have read. The recent communications I received from Midland Credit Management along with a copy of the certified letter I sent to Midland Credit Management as well as the signed green return card, showing proof that Midland Credit Management received my cease and desist order are in the attached PDF files.

Consumer Complaint: After saving and planning, I contacted this company to settle my debt but instead the egregious employee condemned me and basically said I don't deserve to settle because I spent the money I owed. When I explained to him that I was young and not knowledgeable when I signed up for the XXXX credit card and that I actually only spent 25 % of what I owed and would like to settle for that amount, he refused. Instead of coming to an agreement he argued and tried to intimidate me. He also said they would not take the collection off of my report even if I paid the whole amount and asked for a pay to delete letter. He was totally rude and unhelpful. He cut me off every time I tried to explain my situation and was very pushy and continued to call and harass me and threatened to report to other agencies even after I offered to settle!

Consumer Complaint: Midland Funding XX/XX/ {$770.00} I have called and asked this company to provide me proof that I opened this alleged account that was opened under a different company name while I was in bankruptcy and they refuse to provide me any proof. They record me and tell me they are sending me something in the mail and I never receive anything from them but they call me almost daily from fraudulent numbers and do not leave messages, the number always changes and they must own 1000 's of phone numbers because it is always something different. I can provide proof on demand.
