Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: Midland Funding is reporting an {$850.00} debt to the credit agencies. I have not been sent any paperwork to explain the originality of this debt. Therefore I can not verify it is my debt. They have put derogatory remarks on my credit reports repeatedly and recently. It has caused my credit score to drop drastically. If proved this is my debt I am willing to make small payments each month until debt is paid off in full. But if theres no communication explaining where this debt came from I do not think it is fair practice to come out of no where years later and affect my credit score in this manner. They may contact me via text at XXXX. Thank you. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX # XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I am sorry to say that I do not remember dates, amount, etc. I think I have been getting there letters for over 6 years. 2 years ago, I wrote on the letter/debt they sent me and stated that this is out of statutes of limitations. I have not received any mail from them that I know of. Every time I check my credit score, that Midland credit is listed. They bought the debt from who ever ( I do not remember, who it was, I apologize ) Midland keeps changing the dates of my indebtedness for their benefit. I asked my mother last week " Doesn't it seem like 6 years ago when this began? She stated yes it does. Midland states this debt is 2 years old. NO WAY! Like I said, I wrote back on their letter told them this was out of statutes of limitations I think they are just hanging on to it, trying whatever they do. 2 years ago was the pandemic, I had other issues, They literally just XXXX.
