Consumer Complaint: On Monday, XX/XX/ I paid off a balance of {$630.00}. I was told it takes 10 days to generate a settlement letter. I called on Monday, XXXX XXXX XXXX to request that I have my letter emailed to me. I was instructed by many different people, XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX instructed me that I will have to wait until Thursday, XX/XX/ to send me the letter to my e-mail once it has been generated. I was also told by employee " XXXX XXXX if I called on Thursday, XXXX XXXX XXXX that the letter will be ready and they will send it to me while I was still on the call. I called on Thursday, XX/XX/, and was luckily greeted by the same XXXX XXXX I spoke to on Monday who said that the letter has actually not been generated yet but she will raise the request to have it generated and it should take 24-48 hours to receive the letter and it will be emailed to me. I received no letter by Saturday, XXXX XXXX XXXX so I called once more. Unfortunately the phone lines were closed until Monday but I was able to use there wed service to speak with someone through chat. She unfortunately told me the same as XXXX XXXX on Thursday saying the letter has not been generated but she will raise the request and it should take 24-48 hours. On Monday, XX/XX/, I still have not received the letter so I called once more. The gentlemen told me the letter has been sent out today actually. I said " Nice, but, I would like to have that actually emailed to me. He then proceeded to tell me that the letter has not been generated " in PDF '' form so he would not be able to email to me. But he would be happy to send a request to generate the letter and I should call back in a few days when it's ready. I have expressed to him that multiple if his colleagues have already gave me that response and I am starting to doubt it's truthfulness. I proceeded to ask him what happened to the other request 4 days prior that went unanswered about generating my letter and he did not have an answer for me. I then requested to speak to a manager. His manager, XXXX XXXX, who I actually spoke to on Monday, XXXX, XXXX XXXX, decided to give me the same excuse for why I still haven't received my letter. I asked many times if he had contact with the people who generate the letter and why are you telling me it was mailed out today when I requested to have it emailed, and that can not happen because the PDF has not been generated to email it to me but you can mail a hard copy? I told him that I was now getting frustrated and worried because they took my money on Monday, XXXX XXXX XXXX and they are keep giving me the same excuses. I proceeded to tell him I will just report that charge as fraudulent and wash my hands of this entire ordeal. At that point he said, " Oh they just emailed me back and they said your letter should generated by tomorrow and we can email it to you. '' I said, oh how convenient. I let him know that I will be reporting this because I don't appreciate the constant run around.

Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: I had a credit card debt on my credit report and reached out to Midland Credit Management to understand why this old debt was on my report and to provide debt verification so that I could resolve or dispute. They refused to communicate with me via email. The refused to allow me to access account information on their online system. They refused to allow chat reps or phone reps to discuss the account with me other than to say that I had to provide my address for them to speak with me. I sent a letter requesting that they communicate with me via email so I could document their communications and have prompt responses = since email is so much faster than postal mail = and they refused. I called them after receiving no response to my letter and they said they could not discuss my account because it was disputed ( and I had merely requested debt verification ) and that it would take 90 days to respond.

Consumer Complaint: To Whom It May Concern, I trust this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concern about a matter involving the violation of my rights as a consumer under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and related statutes. In light of the FCRA, particularly 15 USC 1681 section 602A, which underscores the importance of consumer reporting agencies conducting their responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a regard for the consumer 's right to privacy, I have encountered issues with XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX that demand your attention. My primary concern centers around the unauthorized sharing of my private information, protected under 15 USC 6801. This section emphasizes the obligation of financial institutions to respect customer privacy and protect the security of nonpublic personal information. XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX being a financial institution, is subject to these obligations. As evidence of my commitment to safeguarding my privacy, I would like to bring to your attention that I was a victim of the XXXX data breach. Enclosed with this letter, you will find the relevant documentation supporting my claim. The XXXX data breach exposed sensitive personal information, heightening my concerns about the unauthorized sharing of data. According to XXXX USC 1681 section 604, a consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report only in accordance with the written instructions of the consumer. However, I have not provided consent, written or otherwise, for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX to share my information. I hereby revoke all consent given, whether verbal, non-verbal, written, implied, or otherwise. Furthermore, 15 USC 6802 ( b ) ( c ) mandates that a financial institution may not disclose nonpublic personal information to a nonaffiliated third party without informing the consumer of their right to exercise nondisclosure. Unfortunately, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX failed to provide such information, depriving me of the opportunity to exercise my rights. The reporting of adverse information by XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX as highlighted in 15 USC 1681C ( a ) ( 5 ), without my permission is a clear violation of the law. Additionally, 15 U.S. Code 1681s2 ( A ) ( 1 ) emphasizes that information furnished to a consumer reporting agency should be accurate. I believe XXXX XXXX XXXX 's actions contravene this requirement. XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX as consumer reporting agencies, are obligated under 15 U.S. Code 1681e to maintain reasonable procedures to avoid violations of the FCRA. Unfortunately, it appears that these agencies have not adhered to these standards. In light of the above, I am formally requesting that the information provided by XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX be deleted from my consumer report. Additionally, I have included the documentation regarding the XXXX data breach and an FTC report for your reference. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to a resolution that upholds consumer rights. Thank you for your understanding and assistance. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX
