Consumer Complaint: Discover Lies about consumers and I will post their message below. Discover card opened two credit cards FRAUDULENTLY. This is application fraud. Discover blatantly ignored and disregarded my extended fraud victim statements on my credit files and instead reviewed public sources or so they say. Discover says they verified XXXX verified to me by my credit file but its funny because thats not on my credit file and never has been. Discover did not have my permission to pull these applications nor approve them for these cards. I have submitted a LEGAL identity theft affidavit which shows XXXX, and XXXX XXXX XXXX which Discover advised they sent the card to. They said XXXX called in and submitted a separate complaint which I never have and Im not sure whose phone number that is. Its not on any of my public records or credit files. Discovers inquiries are disputed and blocked from my credit files. Discover did not receive my authorization to open any accounts. I did not sign any applications and I did not respond to any texts. As stated DISCOVER CALLED THIS NUMBER WHO AN IDENTITY THIEF OWNS. Has owned and Discover again falsely accuses me saying they verified the phone number. Yet thats not my phone number and never has been. The email address they provided is not my email address and I did not ever register that email address. I did not accept their terms of conditions and I did not make payments on these accounts either. All payments made were from fraudulent checking and savings accounts which if they actually verified are closed as identity theft. Yet they didnt verify that. I am not responsible for these two credit cards they sent to someone else. I did not apply. I did not approve. They didnt clear my fraud victim statements and I did not receive a card nor statement ever. I want Discover to provide evidence that I APPROVED THE APPLICATIONS. I do not take responsibility and these accounts are fraud. You have legal obligation under the FCRA to conduct an actual investigation instead of just falsely accusing the customer. I do not take the answer of you verified to public sources when none of the information you provided verifies to me. All the information on the applications are and were fraud and I did not make charges to either account nor did I receive either cards again this is identity theft and Discover is responsible. Additionally Discover changed these two accounts to my address I currently reside at just last week without my permission. I do not accept you placing my address on fraudulent accounts and without me asking for such you do not have permission.

Consumer Complaint: Discover claims my tranasctions are factual and have not provided receipts of deposits into their bank account to share delinquent postings. Discover has previous consent orders for deceptive acts and practices, unfair practices by overstating minimums due and violating fair debt collection practices per XXXX. Where is the proof the data is factual and accurate according to Discover? Nor have they complied with the congressional Pandemic law that makes it illegal to share derogatory payment information of any consumer during the pandemic, which still has not been declared over. Nor have they followed my written instructions to DE-LINK my account from sharing my private data, transactions or experiences. REMOVE all comments and labels saying DISPUTED on my consumer reports, I clearly, conspicuously, & unambiguously revoked consent to collect or share my non-public data. They don't follow their own card agreement to limit my data when I've repeatedly written and called them to stop their inentional violation of my rights. Discover agents are prohibiting me from correcting erroneous postings on my consumer report.

Consumer Complaint: The existence of a derogatory rating on my account is causing me significant concern. I am deeply worried about its potential impact on my credit. It has already resulted in the denial of a recent loan application and an increase in the interest rates on my existing credit accounts. I want to emphasize the severe financial and emotional distress that this negative rating has caused me and will continue to cause until it is resolved.

Consumer Complaint: I contacted them the day the charge was put on my statement, which was on XX/XX/2023. I asked them to freeze my card, they did, but they money was pulled out anyway. I asked them again XX/XX/2023, to dispute the charge, they put a temporary credit on the account and then reversed it in favor of the 24-7 towing. I told them they never came or preformed the service. They told me because of the cancellation policy 24-7 towing had they validated the charge in favor of them. I never received a confirmation number from the 24-7 towing, only a text asking me if I cancel the service, and I relied " Yes ''. I asked them for a confirmation number and I never heard anything else. I told this all to Discover, but they voted in favor of this company. I asked for the invoice from 24-7 towing sent them and Discover never sent it. They told me to file a complaint with GA State Attorney 's office. So I did.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022, there was a transaction made from my account with an amount of {$1900.00} and I did not recognize that transaction. I told my credit card company and gave them all the documents they requested and still, I was told that the dispute was not resolved in my favor. I feel that the investigation was not conducted properly. Then I made a payment of the same amount but it was not reflecting on my account. So I contacted the company and they sent me an email saying that they were able to locate it but they never posted it on my account. I have not only been charged with the amount but also charged twice because my payment was never reflected on my account even though the company was able to locate it. This whole thing has impacted my credit score badly and the company is not listening to me.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I filed an identity theft complaint with the CFPB regarding the furnishing of nonpublic personal information without my consent on my consumer report. They responded that the information furnished was acceptable in accordance to the cardmember agreement signed when the account was opened, however the Cardmember Agreement that I agreed to in XXXX of XXXX was agreed to under FALSE PRETENSES making the agreement a result of FRAUD. Prior to agreement, I was unaware that the payment history is nonpublic personal information and was under the impression that the terms of the contract were legal. In addition, I am now aware of 15 U.S. Code 6802 ( b ) and USC 6802 ( c ), which states that I, the consumer, am " given the opportunity, before the time that such information is initially disclosed, to direct that such information not be disclosed to such third party ; and the consumer is given an explanation of how the consumer can exercise that nondisclosure option. '' I was not provided neither the opportunity to opt out of disclosure of my information or an explanation of how I could exercise that option. Therefore, the transactions between Discover and myself, specifically the late payments, that were furnished on my consumer report are in violation of multiple consumer laws, including but not limited to USC 1681b Permissible purposes of consumer reports, and needs to be removed from my consumer report. It was not made clear to me that my nonpublic personal information, what Discover would call " payment history '', would be furnished, which according to consumer law is illegal.
