Consumer Complaint: I was the victim of Identity Theft. When I was XXXX, and underage, multiple credit card accounts were opened in my name. With time, and lots of patience I have been able to resolve all these fraudulent accounts, and get them removed, as well as stop the fraudulent collection. Discover Credit Cards / Discover Financial Services has knowingly and willfully disregarded all attempts to resolve the fraudulent account opened in my name with them, and in contempt, has decided to fraudulently report a account that they have full knowledge of being opened in my name without authorization. They have also countered my dispute with the Credit Reporting Agencies ( XXXX & XXXX ) to remove the Identity Theft Reporting Block I AM legally entitled to under Federal Law. In addition, they have made attempts to collect on this debt that I do not owe. I am planning on pursuing extensive and substantial punitive damages against the company for their bad faith, and willful disregard for the law through my attorney, but I would also like the CFPB to investigate further. They need to be held accountable.

Consumer Complaint: On or about XX/XX/2019 I lost my Discover Credit card. Someone found it and made charges using it on XX/XX/XXXX & XXXX XXXX. There were 9 charges totaling {$980.00}. I immediately filed a fraud report with Discover. They " investigated '' and denied my fraud claim. I appealed and they sent to me a fraud affidavit that I filled out and signed. We have been going back and forth on this since XXXX. The charges were not made by me or anyone with my knowledge or permission. I wrote to Discover and informed them that these charges will not be paid and that I am filing my complaint with the CFPB. Their response was basically " so what ''. I refuse to pay for charges that do not belong to me, yet I have good credit and want to keep it. Can you please help me with this matter?. Thank you.
