Subissue: Deposits and withdrawals
Consumer Complaint: Discover bank reversed two deposits from XXXX XXXX, but my XXXX XXXX account does not receive them. I personally think this is Discover 's problem, because they can not provide enough evidence to prove that the transactions really exist. I called many times, and Discover 's representatives gave me inconstant reasons. I also contact the XXXX XXXX customer service, they can not see any reversed deposit in my account, and they insist that they do not request any reversal. If they do not request the reversal, that will be Discover 's issue. XX/XX/2020 Reversed ACH deposit from XXXX XXXX {$40000.00} Reversed ACH deposit from XXXX XXXX {$50000.00}

Consumer Complaint: I OPENED AN XXXX XXXX ACCOUNT. I CANCELLED IT XX/XX/2020. I deleted my credit card information from the XXXX XXXX information at the same time as closing the XXXX account. XXXX sent confirmation emails of the closing of the XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX. But they billed my credit card XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX. I tried to contact XXXX, but b/c my account is closed I can not get into their system any longer. I contacted Discover XX/XX/XXXX. They did nothing. I contacted them again today when i saw the new XXXX charge. They have given me provisional credits. But if XXXX doesn't agree, those charges will be reinstated by Discover. I also complain about how very difficult and complicated it is to close an XXXX XXXX account. A " help '' website for the problem states it requires 15!! fifteen steps. I think this is a clear sign of abuse of their consumer services. I represent elderly people and this is exactly the kind of misleading abuse that causes people to be overcharged and give up trying to fix it.

Consumer Complaint: Discover Credit Card I lost my card between the date of XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX while traveling abroad. I wasnt aware of my lost card until a transaction email alert was sent to my email ONLY after the transactions were approved. Their internal fraud prevention system bypassed this transaction and let it go through. There were 3 transactions made 1. XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX - {$480.00} 2. XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX - {$27.00} 3. XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX - {$1200.00} I was alerted about the transactions and quickly called the fraud department to block my card and freeze the account. Since I was abroad, I filed a local police report and sent an intimation letter to local police department asap. Since I was abroad, there was no proper way to community with the credit card company. Ultimately, the credit card company billed the fraudulent charges back to my account and passed a resolution without any kind of communication. ( I was abroad so I was not able to receive any email, mail etc ) I have attached statement, police letter and police report to this message. The discover credit card company has harassed me by forcing me to pay for these charges which I am not liable for. I am fed up with and afraid to deal with similar problem again, therefore I have decided to close all my credit card accounts with all other companies as well.

Consumer Complaint: I have had an issue with XXXX grocery home delivery charging {$12.00} monthly to my Discover a card, for a service Id never signed up for nor currently use. I did a trial offer for this service ( 30 days free ) about 9 mos ago. Tried the service for free, due to covid restrictions with going out in public at that time, Did not like the service. Cancelled. I still am being charged this {$12.00} monthly fee. Id contacted XXXX twice. Supposedly can not see my being signed up this grocery home delivery service on their end. Doubting this. Contacted Discover Card twice to dispute and stop this recurring monthly {$12.00} charge. Also for my receiving monthly credits for any prior charges I had not authorized. Was assured they would address this on their end. Yet I still am being charged by XXXX. Have a pending XXXX home grocery delivery {$12.00} charge today.

Consumer Complaint: There have been dozens of disputes I had on my account that Discover mishandled. Attached to this complaint is my most recent letter to them regarding a dispute they unjustly resolved in the merchant 's favor to show more details on how they did this. As mentioned in my statement, Discover is never seeing a dime from me for any of these transactions, and everything will be reported to the credit bureaus and whatever debt collection agency they decide to deal with. I know the CFPB is useless and doesn't do anything, but I want this on record. That is all. No response from the Discover is required. Their response would not help me anyway ...
