Consumer Complaint: This complaint best seen as a follow-up to complaint with code XXXX. A brief overview of the events is as follows : i. A set of transactions I did not recognise were posted to the account in late XX/XX/XXXX. ii. My multiple attempts to contact Discover to address the matter were summarily ignored. I will add also that this was deliberate, as stated by Discover in their final response to complaint XXXX. iii. In that same letter, dated XX/XX/XXXX, Discover claimed a fraud investigation was ongoing. iv. I have not had any formal communication from Discover since this letter. Thus, as of today 92 days have passed since the formal acknowledgement of a fraud investigation, with no resolution.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, I opened an account with Discover back in XXXX of XXXX. Several months later I was told that I needed to sign some paperwork. I called into the customer service center to let them know that I was out of the country working and would not be back for several months. They said that was fine and to just sign the paperwork when I got back. However before I returned home they canceled my account. I called in and they said that it was too late and that I could reapply if I wanted too. I decided it was not worth the effort. This was a secured card that I gave them {$500.00} to help rebuild credit. This was in XXXX of XXXX. I called in today to see when I would get my security deposit back. Please note that the account and charging privilege 's were canceled in XXXX. They informed me that it would take two 30 day billing cycles plus 7 business days. So, basically 67 days. This is ridiculous. How is that even possible. Not to mention they will be sending me a physical check and not putting it back in my account ( the way I had to make my security deposit ). I have never heard of such a thing. This is the way the treat people who are trying to do better in life. I need my money. How can it be legal to hold someone's money for that length of time????

Consumer Complaint: I mailed out a debt validation letter to DICOVER requesting for them to validate the alleged account ending in XXXX They responded by sending me a copy of 6 months of statements. Pursuant to Generally Excepted Accounting Principles they have to prove the money left their account if they gave me a loan and they did not provide any information showing the funds actually left their account. The statements provided violate 15 USC 1692j because I entered into a consumer credit transaction w DISCOVER which no cash what is supposed to be excepted by the lender. DISCOVER is in violation of 15 US C 1605. A finance charge is the sum of all charges in a consumer credit transaction and it does not include cash. DISCOVER in fact took cash as shown in the attached labeled exhibit. I have found 36 protected consumer right violation under 15 USC 1692 and USC 1605 that I have presented as exhibit w a signed affidavit of truth. I also have a recession letter exercising my right to rescind pursuant to 15 USC 1635. XXXX XXXX is in violation of 15 US C 1611. XXXX willfully and knowinly failed to provide and disclose information required under the provisions of 15 USC 1601. They are now criminally and civilly liable. I have mailed attached documents to XXXX as well.
