Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I filed a dispute with Discover Card regarding a transaction for XXXX dollars - the Merchant had fraudulently/incorrectly shipped a product and had mentioned that I should simply decline the shipment and they would refund the monies. This was on XX/XX/XXXX. After declining the shipment when the merchant refused to refund the monies I filed the dispute. Dispute # XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX Discover sent me the following message " A decision has been reached for this investigation and we have found that this transaction is valid. You can expect to receive information on this decision to be sent to you via mail or secure message at Discover.com. Please review this information when it arrives for important details summarizing this dispute inquiry. Please notify us as soon as possible if you wish to continue this dispute. '' When I contacted them on why the charge was valid since I had shown proof that the vendor had already recieved the product back and was refusing to refund the monies - discover mentioned that they closed the case prior to me sending them additional information ( I had sent them the proof immediately on receiving it from XXXX ) so now there was nothing they could do. They suggested I email them the communication from the vendor showing additional proof which I did on XX/XX/XXXX. Even after this Discover contends that the information is insufficient and refuse to explain why they will not refund the monies when they have the proof that the vendor has the shipment and I still do not have a refund.

Under the FCRA [ 15 U.S.C. 1681 ( B ) ] A Consumer has a right to privacy. I was shocked when I reviewed my credit report and found late payments on the dates below : Creditor : Discover FIN SVCS Account # XXXX I was never late, 30, days in XX/XX/2019. Im not sure how this happened, I have always made my payments on time when I received my statements. My only thought is that there was a billing error with my statement.

Consumer Complaint: I searched for a discover card through the prequalify tool on their website ( XX/XX/XXXX ). I was offered the cash back card but when I finished applying it says the reason I was denied was due to status of prior/existing account. Across all 3 credit bureaus my previous account with Discover has a XXXX balance and is current. When I called the Application department to rectify the issue on ( XX/XX/XXXX ) after applying I was told to call the verification department. I called the verification department ( XXXX ) on ( XX/XX/XXXX ) and was not given any information to remove this previous status. The reason my account was revoked was due to a verification issue with a glitch in the form 4068-T. I filled the form out on XXXX XXXX XXXX but Discover never received it. When I called to pay the rest of my old discover card off I was told once it is settled and paid I would be able to open a new account. That does not seem to be the case.
