Consumer Complaint: Discover Credit card account has remained 'suspended ' after paying the balance early through a payment plan recommended by Discover. The XXXX credit limit has not been accessible, even during COVID-19 pandemic when most needed. Discover has continued the suspension of my account. Their excuse for doing this is : my " credit history with other issuers ''. -Disregarding the fact that I do not owe Discover, the account is open and inaccessible. This account has been open since XX/XX/XXXX, starting with a XXXX credit limit, Discover reduced the limit to XXXX immediately when the balance owed was XXXX. Said amount was remitted to bring the balance back to XXXX in XXXX of XX/XX/XXXX. The original XXXX credit limit was never restored.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, my husband and I ( sole cardholders of Discover Card ) received a notification from Discover Card that we owe {$13000.00}. Due to my husband 's XXXX XXXX XXXX and subsequent XXXX, we had cut our usage of credit cards, particularly, Discover Card. Our last purchases using Discover were : 1 ) Dated XX/XX/XXXX for the amount of {$200.00} 2 ) Dated XX/XX/XXXX for the amount of {$280.00} 3 ) Dated XX/XX/XXXX for the amount of {$470.00} 4 ) Dated XX/XX/XXXX for the amount of {$550.00} The above charges were all paid for by us and Discover concurred that they were paid by us. No other purchases were made by us since XX/XX/XXXX using Discover Card. We have NOT authorized Discover to add any additional credit card holder nor did we notify Discover of any change of address. We have lived in our residence for the past 22 years. Two years later after the first notification from Discover in XX/XX/XXXX and to which I replied that it is NOT our charges, we heard back from Discover via their collection agency collecting the above amount. This is pure intimidation and threatening on Discover Card 's part. I tried multiple times to contact their customer service XXXX number but they said they can not do it anything about it. My husband and I are both XXXX yrs old on fixed income. I don't know where else to turn. Please help us.
