Consumer Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX ( SSN : Ending in XXXX ) and I am submitting this complaint on my own behalf, there is no third party or authorized representative speaking on my behalf. I am a Federally Protected Consumer and am well studied in my rights under the FCRA, TILA and FDCPA. It is a fact that the consumer has the right to demand PROOF OF CLAIM when a " creditor '' claims that there is an alleged debt that the consumer is liable for. I have demanded the original lawful contract that provides who the original creditor was, where the lawful contract was originated, etc- of DISCOVER BANK and they have defaulted on my contractual terms. I then sent them a notice of fault to give them one more chance to remedy the injury caused to me, the natural person, and they defaulted on that as well. They have been calling me DAILY, leaving me 2-3 voicemails A DAY- despite the fact that my original demand for PROOF OF CLAIM also included a clause to CEASE AND DESIST. DISCOVER BANK has been violating my consumer rights and harassing me DAILY over an alleged debt that they can not provide sufficient evidence that I owe. This matter will be forwarded to the FTC, the Attorney General, and the OCC next.

Issue: Improper use of your report
Subissue: Credit inquiries on your report that you don't recognize
Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX I applied & was approved for a {$10000.00} credit card with Discovery. I was sent out a card, and activated it. I tried using it & the card Declined. When I called to see what the issue could be I was told I never replied to an email where I had to get a letter notarized. I explained to the company I never received an email for notary. They explained the account was closed & advised me to reapply to fix the issue. I was sent to an agent who took my information again, only to deny me stating I had too many Discover accounts placing a second hard inquiry on my credit. I am unable to use the credit card & now facing 2 hard inquiries at no default of my own.

Consumer Complaint: Someone attempted to open a Discover Credit Card in my name. I did not have anything to do this with nor any knowledge of this happening. Discover contacted me and notified me of this. This hurt my credit score and I just want to be safe that I do not get my identity stolen.

Issue: Closing your account
Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: I received a notice from one my credit monitoring services on XX/XX/XXXX that Discover had closed my credit account of {$11000.00}, unbeknownst to me. When I contacted Discover, they stated they closed the card " due to inactivity ''. The last purchase on the card was XX/XX/XXXX, and payments were still being made on the card in XX/XX/XXXX. They also stated they sent a notice of this closure in XX/XX/XXXX and that it would be available in my account inbox. This notice does not exist and it was never sent. When I contacted Discover by phone they then stated that their " terms do not specify the amount of time an account must be inactive '' and they reserve " the right to close at any time ''. Though the Discover representative on the phone was unable to point me to a location where I am able to view those terms in writing, he insisted I had no options except to " re-apply for another line of credit ''. Not only have they just just sucked {$11000.00} out of my credit balances, their only offer is for me to add another hard inquiry to my report. This is outrageous. And again, with no notice to consumer beforehand.
