Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Investigation took more than 30 days
Consumer Complaint: See complaint # XXXX I have requested for fairly simply information. Discover acknowledged my initial complaint was valid and promised it would be corrected 2 months ago. It has not and Discover is now refusing to provide the proof that they did report the Discover card which is in my name to 4 different credit bureaus. please see attached letter dated XX/XX/2022. In complaint # XXXX I requested proof ( a copy of the XXXX ) that Discover did indeed do as they said they did. Discover seems to think they can lie and stall without consequences. As a result of my complaint Discover has now retaliated against the owner of the account XXXX XXXX XXXX a XXXX Vet, injured while serving this country. This type of behavior does not happen without the go ahead or authorization of the CEO of Discover XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I am sure XXXX XXXX has authorized the attack on thousands if not millions of other consumers and since our politicians or agencies responsible for preventing this type of behavior bribed to do nothing, Americans are finally recognizing they must defend themselves. Therefore, I will be posting XXXX XXXX contact information on the appropriates sites so that consumers can defend themselves. For instance here is his XXXX XXXX dollar home in XXXX XXXX : XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX. Sad, we have so much corruption and greed in this country and it is always up to the PEOPLE to end it.

Issue: Closing your account
Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I received notice that discover closed my credit card account due to inactivity. I have a XXXX balance on this credit card account and have since XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I called discover requesting that my account not be closed as it would be very detrimental to my credit report. The denied me this option and requested that I open a new account. I believe I have 30 days from the date of closure to request it stay open, especially considering I have no balance on that card.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account status incorrect
Consumer Complaint: In response to many complaints that I have submitted against Discover. My name is XXXX XXXX, a federally protected consumer, an agent and principle, holder in due course and attorney in fact to XXXX XXXX. This is a follow up to cfpb complaint # XXXX XXXX of the XXXX Office of XXXX XXXX stated After further review, we maintain that we are accurately reporting the past due history for your account to the credit bureau reporting agencies, and are unable to honor your request to remove or alter the credit history previously reported. Due to your continued dispute, we will report the account to the credit bureau reporting agencies as disputed until you advise Discover to remove the dispute status. Discover told me that they couldnt remove the late payments because it was accurate. I I am aware nothing under the FCRA REQUIRES a creditor to report negative information. That late payment is being furnished without my lawful authority and is a violation of 15 USC 1681s-2 ( 7 ) ( E ). The creditor knowingly reporting inaccurate information to a consumer reporting agency is in violation of 15 USC 6821 ( A ) ( 2 ) and that leads to jail. Also, how can I be late when a finance charge was involved? So am I late paying myself back? Clarify this billing error!
