So they got made and closed my account. I call that questionable business practices

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I opened a Dispute on XXXX website with DISCOVER CREDIT CARD whereby I officially disputed all charges, which were all fraudulent and of an identity theft nature on my account from the date of XX/XX/XXXX forward, as I was XXXX in a XXXX XXXX, and still am until XX/XX/XXXX. I uploaded the FBI letter from XX/XX/XXXX to Special Agent XXXX XXXX of the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, XXXX XXXX where I notified them of the crimes against me. Further, I included the XXXX Court documents from XXXX XXXX XXXX Court in XXXX XXXX, XXXX where I sued the individuals responsible for stealing my life savings and committing identity theft and fraud against me for fraudulent credit card charges, etc. I was incarcerated and had no visibility and limited interaction with the world in prison. I did not authorize these charges and have notified multiple law enforcement agencies to that effect. DISCOVER CARD and XXXX denied my dispute and state that all charges were reported appropriately on my account. It seems that they did not read the attachments, as this was fraud on all these charges after my XXXX date. While XXXX all my accounts were assigned to the address in XXXX XXXX of the perpetrators of theft against me ; this is fraudulent, as I never lived in XXXX XXXX. I have always been a citizen of XXXX XXXX except for 4 years I spent in a XXXX XXXXXXXX during this term of XXXX ) and can clearly show this fact. Further, I am protected by the laws of XXXX and per law, the statute of limitations on past due debt ends after 4 years of delinquency. It is against the law for anyone, to include debt collectors, from trying to collect on debt older than 4 years of age, period.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I wrote a letter from my location at the XXXX XXXX XXXX Federal Low Security Prison to DISCOVER CARD ( see attached ), requesting copies of my statements for XXXX, as I had been incarcerated since XX/XX/XXXX and upon reviewing my Credit Report, I discovered past due amounts that could only be by fraudulent purchases that I did not make, as I was incarcerated. DISCOVER CARD never sent me the requested Credit Card Statements for my review and therefore, I was not allowed an opportunity to review these charges and dispute, accordingly. DISCOVER CARD did not reply to my request for account statements within the 30 days required for a response, therefore they have not acted within the requirements under the FAIR CREDIT REPORTING ACT, and are therefore in violation of the FCRA. Further, I notified the FBI of these crimes and others in the attached letter to Special Agent XXXX XXXX of the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I set up online a wire transfer of {$22000.00} to my friend XXXX XXXX. The transfer has never been delivered to his bank account. I received an email on XX/XX/XXXX, asking me to contact the bank at XXXX. During the phone conversation, I was asked to provide more information to complete the transfer, including very private personal information about my friend, the wire transfer recipient. This is very suspicious request especially over the phone, because I have made multiple wire transfers from other banks previously, have never been asked for such information. My request to provide the support documentation for such request was not satisfied, and was told that without that information the transfer could not be processed. Therefore, I asked the bank to cancel the wire transfer and return the fund to my account. I was assured it should be back in 3 to 5 business days. Now after 20 days passed, I havent seen money back to my account. And nothing from the bank explains what is going on. An inquiry message to the bank on XX/XX/XXXX, ended up with the request my phone call to the same number without much sincere help. I was assured the issue would be solved and money back on this Monday XX/XX/XXXX, yet nothing happened.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I called Discover Card to dispute a {$11.00} charge on ( XX/XX/XXXX ) XXXX for the item I purchased on XXXX but the item never arrived. The seller refused to communicate. After dialing the number I got an automated system which demanded the amount, date and the item and after providing me with this info I was put on over 10 min hold in order to get to the CSR. I was then told that this is not a right dept and I was told that despite inputting the dispute info into the system, the system is designed to be first routed to a regular customer service to first and foremost vet the disputes ( ie, make it hard to go forward ). Subsequently I requested to speak with the supervisor but was then told that none is available. I was then directed to the billing dept which again decided not to process the dispute so I requested to speak to the supervisor. The CSR transferred me to the supervisor line ( while I was holding ) and the automated system was giving automated instructions to the CSR agent how to handle the call. At the 29 min the call was disconnected without me speaking to the supervisor or finalizing the dispute. It is obvious that Discover is not willing/unable to process the transaction disputes for a valid reason such as non receipt of the item while involving customers in a long and protracted system meant on wasting customer time. Under the legal framework Discover is obligated to execute a dispute, pure and simple and do so within a reasonable amount of time.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, Discover Bank partnered with XXXX to provide 5 % cash back for XXXX product. On XX/XX/XXXX I purchased and was billed for a fraudulent XXXX gift card sold by XXXX. I found out the same day that I paid {$200.00} for a {$200.00} XXXX gift card, but the actual balance on the gift card was {$0.00}. I called the same day on XX/XX/XXXX, but XXXX refused to refund the gift card purchased. Because of no refund for a fraud card, I submitted a claim to Discover on XX/XX/XXXX with screenshot that I got {$0.00} balance from on receipt that said I'm entitled to {$200.00} XXXX credit. According to Discover 's Bank terms of service, I'm entitled to be protected against Incomplete service ( Did you pay for something that was never delivered? Was there a quality issue that affected your ability to use your purchase, or the product you received wasnt as advertised when you charged your card to pay for it? ) However, on XX/XX/XXXX Discover Bank close the case and refused to give me my money back for a clearly fraudulent charge and said that I should " work with XXXX '' to get my money back. refused to refund me my loss. Discover created the 5 % cash back promotion with XXXX and then force consumers like me to eat the {$200.00} fraudulent XXXX gift card. Attached are my Discover and XXXX provided no proof that the XXXX gift card I had contained {$200.00} balance, which would be impossible because I checked the same day of purchase and the balance was exactly {$0.00}. I called customer support, and she said XXXX ) XXXX provided the same receipt that I provided, so that doesn't help them learn more about the case and 2 ) the " reason '' that my case resolved in favor of XXXX, Discover 5 % partner, was that my screenshot has no time stamp. Over the course of one month during with Discover processed my case, I was never asked to submit a new screenshot with a time stamp that they dearly needed, even though the dispute process said that Discover would promptly follow up with me if it needed anything for my case. 3 ) the customer support lady acknowledged that the documents XXXX sent that supposedly proved the XXXX gift card has {$200.00} on it has no time stamp either, and for what reason Discover hold their partnership with XXXX to a lesser standard than me, she " didn't know ''. The customer support lady just sheepishly said, " I'm sorry, I know how you feel. I'm not going to buy a gift card from XXXX after hearing your case ''. But refused to refund me my loss. Discover created the 5 % cash back promotion with XXXX and then force consumers like me to eat the {$200.00} fraudulent XXXX gift card. Attached are my 1 ) receipt, and 2 ) screenshot sent to Discover, 3 ) Discover 5 % cash back program partnering with XXXX 4 ) Discover consumer protection policy, and 5 ) Discover final case statement on XX/XX/XXXX with all " evidence '' provided from XXXX, which has nothing that said I received the {$200.00} XXXX credit and just said " XXXX will not refund ''. Following that statement, Discover statement said, I should " work with XXXX to get my money back. ''
