Consumer Complaint: I entered into a debt consolidation program in 2017. Discover had me served with a judgement from a court stating that I was being sued for what I owed them. I was a plaintiff in a mesh lawsuit and received compensation for my injuries. DiscoverBank seized their full amount due and fees out of my checking account to fulfill the debt. However, on my credit reports which I have disputed several times, Discover states it was a charge off and that they werent paid in full. It was very odd how they just seized the money in my account the very next day after depositing into my XXXX XXXX my lawsuit award. Which was about a year later. My debt with them was XXXX. They seized XXXX. My credit report should show them paid and full and then some, NOT a charge off. Thank you for your help with this matter. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022 while shopping at the XXXX supermarket in XXXX PA a mistake was made by the cashier and unnoticed by me or the store I was charged over {$6000.00} for a stalk of celery. When I received my bill from Discover card on XXXX XXXX I immediately contacted Discover fraud division. They told me they would take care of this, that I wasn't responsible for this amount and would send a new card which they did and I disposed of the old one. On XX/XX/2022 I received a call from Discover people stating the matter did not belong with the fraud division but I should withdraw the fraud claim and file with billing disputes, which I did. Billing disputes personnel advised that I go to XXXX and try to work it out with them, and I did that on that very day, the XXXX. The store manager immediately found the problem and the next day asked me to come in and they would refund the full amount to my credit card and that's what happened. I called Discover billing disputes personnel and told them about this resolution and thought it was settled. Yesterday I received a lettrer from Discover saying no, it's not settled because the amount should have been sent to the old card number ( which was closed ) and they would not accept the payment on the new card and I am being charged for the full amount, as well as being advised that they might institute collection proceedings. I spoke at length with a representative and do not understand why this is so hard to do, just transfer the amount that XXXX agreed to into my present account. Please help straighten this matter out. I do not owe this money, XXXX has already refunded and I doubt they want to do it again. In the meantime I am sending a letter to Discover stating all that I have said here along with copies of their documents.

Consumer Complaint: I am filing a complaint because I was recently denied a credit card from Discover and know that I was discriminated against and that their decision was based off of information retained from my credit report which is filled with inaccurate and false accounts that I have been disputing with the credit reporting agencies. There were multiple violations of my consumer rights that they are liable for not only civil but also criminal. Attached is a letter I have prepared stating the violations from TILA, ECOA, etc. Congress wrote these laws to help and protect consumers such as myself. I have also submitted a complaint to the Attorney Generals and the Federal Trade Commission. My concerns continue to be ignored and I havent heard anything back from Discover in a week after sending an email to corporate where XXXX XXXX said that she was going to investigate.

Consumer Complaint: From XXXX XXXX, I received letters from credit cards companies. These letters were thanking me for applying for a line of credit, but informing me that I was denied. I never applied for any credit cards not ever. I think these scammers have my social security number. I am afraid bc I do not know what else they are doing with my information. My Bank account with XXXX XXXX was compromised a few weeks ago, I caught it in time and I never lost any funds. I closed that account and now I have a new one, hopefully it is secure. I am in the process of calling all the companies and I'm considering sending them letters also. It is Discover Card, XXXX, XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX. I will not be surprised if more come in as well. My credit is terrible and I've been working hard trying to improve it. Will this situation end up with me having an even lower credit score than I already do? If so, how do I go about rectifying this? I would so appreciate any assistance you can provide. Thank you very much. Please feel free to contact me any time. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I have received several threatening letters from this company Discover Card the latest dating XX/XX/22, which are threatening in nature to me because they use the word attorney without actually having anything scheduled or any court hearing scheduled. They did not sell my account to a debt collection agency and when called, customer service said this is just telling me what can happen next. I understand how debt collection works but using the word attorney before actually doing anything on the account is threatening.
