Consumer Complaint: I am on a financial relief program with this Discover for 12 months. It started in XX/XX/XXXX and will end in XX/XX/XXXX. While being enrolled in this program my new minimum monthly payment is {$150.00} for the first 3 months, then {$120.00} every single month for the rest of the year. Discover has even enrolled me in automatic payment and scheduled all the payments until XX/XX/XXXX, I have attached a screenshot of it to this email. I have made my XXXX minimum payment, I have also attached a screenshot of my checking account showing the payment made to this Discover with the reference number. Surprisingly, this morning I have seen that Discover has reported me 30 days late saying that they did not receive my payment, which is not true since I have proof of payment. Therefore I am asking Discover to immediately update my payment history and mark me current!!

Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Funds not handled or disbursed as instructed
Consumer Complaint: I contacted Discover Bank on XX/XX/2022 to close my existing XXXX and transfer funds to a new, higher-yield XXXX. The agent said I had to transfer funds to a savings account, and then open a new CD and transfer into that. He helped me set up the savings account and closed the existing CD, with a balance of {$93000.00}. A few days later, the funds were still not showing in the savings account, so I called the bank again. The new agent said that I had been misinformed ; IRA funds could not be transferred into a savings account. She helped me set up a new XXXX account that could receive the funds. That account was active as of XX/XX/2022. No funds have been transferred to that account two weeks later, despite multiple phone calls and assurances that the transfer was imminent ( " within one to two business days '' ). Each time I spoke with a different account XXXX : XXXX in Utah, XXXX in Ohio, XXXX a few days ago, then XXXX yesterday and XXXX in Washington XXXX today. All are very kind and apologetic, promising to connect me with a supervisor who can address the matter, only to find that no supervisor is available after somewhat lengthy times spent on hold ( had to hang up after a 45-minute wait one time ). It has now been two weeks of empty promises. Yesterday and today I was promised a return call from a supervisor within 24 hours, but yesterday 's 24 hours has elapsed without a call, and I'm not confident that I'll hear from anyone by this time tomorrow. I don't know what else I can do to get the funds moved into my account. How can a bank just close an IRA account without having a plan for transferring the funds to another appropriate account?
