Consumer Complaint: First incident : XXXX account was reported twice for the overdue balance/closed account. Once in XXXX and recently. Discover closed my account ( XX/XX/XXXX ) while having me on a payment plan to pay off the account and never notified me of the closure. They claimed they sent mail to my home but I have opted out of paper mail, and never received an email or app alert telling me it was closing, just that I had monthly payments due.

Issue: Getting a credit card

Subissue: Card opened without my consent or knowledge

Consumer Complaint: I checked my credit score, and I found out there are three new accounts opened with my known. I called three credit card companies ( Discover Card # XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) and asked for the address & phone number. I figured out it was my separated husband ( he lives in California, and I live in Texas ). I reported three companies with all evidence of card expenses in Texas so they could see that I did not open and use the credit card. But it looks like they don't take it seriously, and they told me that I should probably pay all credit card expenses. I asked him to divorce, and we submitted the joint petition for summary dissolution application in XXXX. Please help me with what I should do. I will attach the documents I did not open using those three credit cards. Also, attach the joint petition for summary dissolution application.

'' XXXX and XXXX are consumer reporting agencies and I am the Consumer. These agencies have failed to do so. I have the right to make sure my private information isn't shared which is backed by 15 USC 6801 which states " It is the policy of the Congress that each financial institution has an affirmative and continuing obligation to respect the privacy of its customers and to protect the security and confidentiality of those customers nonpublic personal information. '' ( Furnisher of information to credit agencies ) is a financial institution by definition under that title. 15 USC 1681 section 604 a section 2 states that " In general Subject to subsection ( c ), any consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report under the following circumstances and no other : in accordance with the written instructions of the consumer to whom it relates. Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed

Subissue: Debt was result of identity theft

Consumer Complaint: Account had been charged off for almost 3 years. Countless time had disputed this debt and I will continue disputing until XXXX when it'll finally drop off my account, this given the fact the status of limitation had passed they won't be able to collect anymore on these alleged debt. As I previously mention before, this debt is the result of identity theft and a customer representative actually validated this info, there were calls made where the mention of identity theft happened back in XXXX on one of the calls I made. I had asked them for original credit agreement bearing my signature, all statements from beginning to end of the account right before they charged it off, and all payment methods along with payments history for account. Was never received by me. Also, they reporting a balance when the account is charged off. It is illegal to report a balance when the account is charged off ( aka written off ) they already received a credit for this debt by reporting it in their Financial Statements as loss. For which I'm asking for a 1099C. Attached my Original Police and FTC reports.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement

Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I entered into an agreement with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to purchase XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for a total price of {$700.00} which included a service fee for using my credit card to pay for the purchase. I was asked to pay a 50 % ( {$350.00} ) down payment which I did with my credit card. Even though XXXX XXXX XXXX sets up their office like that of a XXXX I was made to understand that they're not XXXX There's no XXXX on staff. I picked up the finished XXXX on XX/XX/2023 and when I picked it up I was dissatisfied with the fit because it was extremely uncomfortable. However, after trying for some time to get the XXXX properly fitted the vendor decided that she had had enough and she ordered me out of her office. I was arrogantly told to leave the office and that if I did not leave the office they would call the police to get me trespassed. Not wanting to interact with the police. I decided to leave and they told me that I had a warranty. I believe it was 30 or 60 days and that they would freely make adjustments doing the warranty period. After a few days I found that the XXXX were still extremely uncomfortable and that everything I tried to consume, even water would cause an astringent reaction and the roof of the XXXX and on top of the stringent reaction, most foods would also cause a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I called XXXX XXXX and I complained about the astringent and rough feeling on the roof of the XXXX and the suggested I come to their office for adjustments. They also suggest they use any eraser on the top of a pencil to rub the roof off the XXXX I mentioned to them that they were unable to do the proper adjustments while I was at their office so it was useless for me to come back because they may once again offer to call the police to have me trespassed. I sent XXXX a certified letter within the warranty period asking for them to return my money in exchange for me giving back the XXXX. The certified letter was delivered to them but till this day they have not responded. I immediately filed a dispute request with Discover Financial and I sent them a copy of the certified demand letter which was sent to XXXX XXXX which outlined the fact that the goods provided was useless. Discover financial ruled in the merchants favor claiming that the merchant sent them proof that I purchased the goods. I did not deny that I purchased the goods. What I am Trying to explain to Discover is that the goods is no good. I am attaching a copy of this certified letter sent to XXXX XXXX Please help!
