Consumer Complaint: Missed 1 payment in XX/XX/2018, daily calls multiple times still continued even after payments are being made. Most calls ignored/sent to VM during business hours, but some were answered and each time I said to stop calling my number. The calls persisted until I called them up and complained, when I was laughed at and threatened with repossession for only missing the 1 payment.

Consumer Complaint: My daughter and I purchased a car from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2018. The car is financed by Credit Acceptance Corporation. In addition an extended warranty was purchased for {$2400.00}. The extended warranty company is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX We were given a generic brochure on the purchase date by the dealer and told the agreement would be mailed within two weeks. We never received the service agreement and called XXXX XXXX to inquire they said they didn't have a copy. I called Credit Acceptance Corporation and mentioned that I never saw or received the agreement. They immediately offered to send me a copy of the agreement. I thought it was odd that they had a copy, since they are a " separate '' business entity. We started having issues with the car and called XXXX XXXX several times with claim related issues. I called Credit Acceptance Corporation and told them I was having problems with the extended warranty. XXXX XXXX ( Credit Acceptance Corporation ) told me they had reviewed claims that I submitted to XXXX XXXX. I want to dissolve this relationship with Credit Acceptance Corp for the following reasons : 1 ) Lack of privacy with personal information. No permission was given to CAC to review claims. They should not have an influence on claims. XXXX XXXX is suppose to be a totally different company. 2 ) Had I known the '' two '' companies intermingled information, I would have selected a different extended warranty company. 3 ) The odometer reading on the extended warranty contract reads XXXX, the Bill of Sale contract with Credit Acceptance Corp reads XXXX. CAC/XXXX XXXX executed contracts with this huge inconsistency. 4 ) It is obvious that Credit Acceptance Corp and XXXX 's is one in the same. This is different that what's presented to the customer.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2018 I filed a written dispute ( USPS Certified mail # XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) directly with Credit Acceptance Corporation located in XXXX, Michigan regarding inaccurate payment history they posted to my consumer credit reports. I identified and list each error by month and year. Under the Federal Law, I requested copies of specific records that they keep during the normal course of business. I waited more than 30 days to her the results of the investigation and view copies of invoices and payments that I requested. To date Credit Acceptance has not investigated nor responded to my dispute or request for inaccurate payment history to be deleted from my credit reports. Thus far Credit Acceptance Corporation has ignored me and the law. I am requesting your assistance in having Credit Acceptance comply with the law and remove the inaccurate payment history from my credit reports.

Consumer Complaint: In addition to charging 22.99 % interest, which I thought was usury and therefore illegal, Credit Acceptance has added over {$500.00} to what I owe, and refused to explain why. I openly entered into the agreement, so I am not looking for a remedy for the crime of usury. I have been making extra payments nearly every month for eleven months. According to several amortization calculators that I have used I should owe {$820.00} effective XX/XX/XXXX. According to the person who I spoke with on the phone on XX/XX/XXXX, my payoff balance as of XX/XX/XXXX will be {$1300.00} and will continue to increase until paid after that date. I previously called and asked for a breakdown of what I have paid and what portion of the payments went to interest and what part to principle. They sent me a list of the payments that they have received. It agrees with my records, but they did not explain the difference in our calculations of a payoff amount. I think I made myself more clear to the person I spoke to on XX/XX/XXXX, and he refused to send me any additional information.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I purchased a XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX ( VIN : XXXX ) in XXXX, NY at XXXX XXXX XXXX. The list price was {$10000.00}. I put down {$4500.00} in cash and traded in a grey XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX valued at {$500.00}. I was told that because of my credit, my total finance amount would be {$17000.00} and that I was approved. At the time I was leaving an abusive marriage, and desperately needed a vehicle my husband at the time could not recognize. My payment was set at {$480.00} month. I was told that this was due to finance charges but once I paid the {$17000.00}, Id own the vehicle. Since then my vehicle has been repod four times for late payment with additional fees, which Credit Acceptance said could be paid over one year at $ XXXX/monthly instead of $ XXXX/monthly. The first repossession took place after informing the company Id need an additional two weeks to pay due to being off from work for a month ( illness ). The last three repossessions occurred after informing the company that I was out on XXXX for over a year and fell behind. I was unable to make two payments of {$480.00} a month to catch up, which would mean paying {$970.00} a month. Id pay the standard {$480.00} but that did not stop my vehicle from being taken. I recently returned to work and informed Credit Acceptance of this. My vehicle was last taken on XX/XX/XXXX. It was a nightmare. I am a XXXX employee and almost lost my job because I was unable to get to work. I reside in XXXX, NY but work an hour and a half away in XXXX XXXX, NY. I was told that I needed to submit another standard {$480.00} payment in XX/XX/XXXX. I paid {$370.00} initially which was {$110.00} short and then submitted a payment of {$500.00} after Credit Acceptance threatened to pick my car up and auction it. I was told that it wasnt enough and canceled that payment, because I literally did not have anymore money to give to them for the month of XX/XX/XXXX. My vehicle was repossessed and I was told Id need to pay the total remaining {$8700.00} balance and I could have my vehicle. I then told the representative that if I couldnt make two payment of $ XXXX/monthly then I certainly couldnt pay the {$8000.00} to get the vehicle back and told them they could keep the car. I initially did not think the vehicle was repod because when the company claimed they picked the car up, it was still where I had left it. They failed to report the repo to the local police department. The representative then informed that Ive already paid {$25000.00} in to this vehicle ; however the vehicle was initially $ XXXX and jumped to nearly XXXX. I dont understand why Im still paying for a car that shouldve been paid off. Credit Acceptance told me to take it up with the dealership but they have since closed. All of a sudden I was told that I could pay {$740.00} to get the car back. I was in a rental at the time and agreed as I desperately needed to be able to get to work ( I work in the field ). I picked up my vehicle after sending them the payment via XXXX XXXX. My vehicle was more than an hour from where I live which cost me even more money. I have one year left to pay the new monthly payment of {$500.00}. Please assist, as I have already paid for this vehicle. I was only given the documents I signed and have attached them to the complaint. I was advised by my union that I could secure an attorney through them for this matter, as it appears that something fraudulent took place.

Consumer Complaint: See below email to Credit Acceptance reguarding conversation on a recorded line. New issues disclosed. -- -- -- Original message -- -- -- From : XXXX XXXX Date : Wed, XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX To : Loan Dispute ; Cc : Subject : XXXX, As per our conversation dispute continues. Issues1 ) Dealer buyers guide not disclosed nor was a AS IS. Definition of UNSAFE is not the same as AS IS. Addtionally carguns advertisment reflective of same. No buyers guide on cube or AS IS displayed on advertisement of car. Dont see any on other cars on lot as well. Dealer clearly demontrates that this is is standard way of frauding consumers with his own pictures and advertisements. 2 ) Prior unsafe issues known at time of sale. See pictures of bent rim on dealers advertisement on cargun and lack of any buyer guide?? Bent rim is the reason for the bearing failure per XXXX. As well as the spare tire casing and front tire steal. However, despite you having diagnostics and a call to XXXX you are telling me is WEAR AND TEAR?? 3 ) Car value was extremly inflated and that if I were to give back car you would hold me responsible for not being able to sell car at the value sold to me Especially with the known repairs needed at time of sale and knowinly inflating the value in good condtiin let alone poor condition. Do you have the Auction Sale information on issues? Rental Companies information and accident claim? 3 ) My credit report reflects YO, YO of what I owe since XX/XX/XXXX and today you decided to refund me full amount of warranty instead of charging me pro rated amount? Last week you argued with me I am responsible for it than increased my credit amount owed on my credit report. I have my report on PDF each month and pictures you have are screen shots of XXXX XXXX. You advised not to send youll pull yourself what you reported. You also stated you dont see 3 payments by me? Is saying I made a payment the way you decrease and increased my balances???????? 4 ) Dealer email and warranty phamplet I have that says this is my contract provisions is not? I have nothing but phamplet. Also dealer had me on camera of what I got and didnt get. What was explained and not explained. You signed? Check out the recordings of the webcam recording he does at signing. He has tgem since all your signatures are also recorded. 5 ) Only condition of car surrender would be full forgiveness of loan. 6 ) I can email you ( Unsecure ) but you cant email me back because its unsecure? A new complaint to follow and you recorded our conversation on this. That explains you not answeing my emails? Why is it OK that I email you Unsecured? Why give me two email addresses to send information than tell me today is unsecured????? Ill file this very email on the above with New complaint. Ill also call you on your recorded line that you said ALL calls recorded or we cant talk? I only have that option so be it recordings Ive already had to stop driving so far to work in excess of 1,000 miles per week that week and drop some clients. Now you want me to surrender the car being hit up with the disrepaired already overl inflated price value difference???? Bankruptcy is inevidable with your company!!!! Makes one wounder about your dealer university what is being taught. Also the shared profit on interest? Contracts tailored by state ( Yours would Prohibit ) Your MO seems to blame the uneducated consumer To Bad So Sad you should have done your homework? Here is link to advertisement from dealer prior to sale with pictures.
