Consumer Complaint: I tried volunteering surrender the XXXX 3 times. I called Credit Acceptance Corp and spoke with an agent and told them I was going to surrender the XXXX. I gave location where the XXXX was parked and was told it was going to be pick up. This was back in XXXX, Credit Acceptance Corp hold off on the repossession for the account to grow interest on the account. Now the XXXX value has down because of years passed. If it was pick up in XXXX, the value of the XXXX would be more then today value and it would have paid into the balance in XXXX. The left over balance would be less. Now the account pick up more interest and late fee. Also I finance the XXXX for {$22000.00} and Im told I have to pay {$33000.00} which the company has already added the finance charge for payoff. I thought the finance charge was only added each month has passed. The account would have been settle XXXX years ago if you only pick up the XXXX the XXXX times I called.

Consumer Complaint: I trust this message finds you well. My purpose in writing to you today is to bring attention to a matter of significant concern regarding the contractual agreement associated with my recent vehicle purchase from XXXX XXXX, an affiliate dealership of Credit Acceptance. On XX/XX/XXXX, I entered into a financing arrangement for a XXXX XXXX XXXX, with XXXX miles on the odometer. While I understand that financing comes with associated costs, it has come to my attention that I may have fallen victim to what is commonly referred to as " payment packing. '' The disclosed cash price for the vehicle, an exorbitant {$11000.00}, raises serious questions about the transparency and fairness of the transaction. My independent research indicates that the market value of the XXXX XXXX XXXX, with similar mileage, is considerably lower than the amount I was charged. Upon inquiring about purchasing the vehicle outright with cash, I was informed that the cash price would be higher but not to the extent reflected in the contract. This lack of clarity and transparency is deeply troubling. The itemization in the amount financed on the contract further reveals inconsistencies. It shows that XXXX XXXX sold me the vehicle through Credit Acceptance for {$10000.00}, while the service contract or warranty indicates that the car was sold for {$10000.00}. This discrepancy in the recorded sale price contributes to a sense of confusion and reinforces concerns about the accuracy of the information provided. These discrepancies, coupled with the apparent inflation of the vehicle 's cash price, align with concerns raised in the case filed by the New York Attorney General and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) against Credit Acceptance. As a consumer, I believe these actions may be in violation of the Consumer Financial Protection Act ( CFPA ). According to 12 U.S.C. 5536 ( a ) of the CFPA, it is considered a violation for any covered person or service provider to engage in any unfair, deceptive, or abusive act or practice. I am reaching out with the hope that we can address and rectify these concerns promptly and amicably. I kindly request a thorough review of the discrepancies mentioned and a transparent explanation of the pricing structure associated with my purchase. Additionally, I am open to discussions aimed at reaching a fair resolution that aligns with consumer protection laws. Your prompt attention to this matter is highly appreciated, and I look forward to your timely response.

Consumer Complaint: I've been looking at info on my credit reports and noticed Credit Acceptance reporting late payments on an account that is just not true. This company has reported payments being 30 days late for XXXX of 2023 and this is not the case. I am arguing that Credit Acceptance had no legal right to report this information and it is not accurate at all. Under 15 USC 1681a ( 2 ) ( A ) ( i ) the consumer report does not include information solely as to the transactions or experiences between the consumer and the person making the report. Credit acceptance is violating my consumer rights on so many levels. I have also filed complaints against the agencies reporting this info for not validating that it is accurate before reporting it on my consumer file and damaging my credit.
