Consumer Complaint: I 'm trying to sell my crypto currency. XXXX bitcoin and XXXX ethereum in my Coinbase account. I want to liquidate and turn this into cash. Whenever I try to sell it says I need to verify my identity. I am unable to verify my identity and it gives no support. My information is correct and I am within my sales limits. I have tried countless times to verify and I get the same nonhelpful error message saying they could not verify my identity. My money is now frozen because they wo n't let me sell without verifying my identity and their identity verification is broken. I want my money out asap but they 're essentially holding it ransom. I was able to buy and sell before and then suddenly my accounts were frozen. I have uploaded my ID and given them my ssn and still can not access my funds.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX XXXX, I transferred XXXX bitcoin from Bittrex.com to Coinbase.com. While XXXX shows the transaction was completed and successfully sent, Coinbase does not show that any amount of this transaction was received, or even pending. There 's no evidence on Coinbase that any bitcoin was received at all. I have contacted Coinbase about this issue twice in the past, once via the online support on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX ( Case ID : XXXX ), then again through Coinbase 's telephone support on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX ( Case ID : XXXX ). These cases are still open on Coinbase and unresolved. I have been unable to gain access to my funds in nearly 3 weeks. Through XXXX I was able to find my Coinbase address to which I sent my Bitcoin, as well as the Transaction ID : Address : XXXX TxId : XXXX

Consumer Complaint: i opened an account with coinbase.com in XX/XX/XXXX 2017 in order to invest in bitcoin . I initially deposited $XXXX to my new coinbase account & invested in bitcoin. After a few weeks, having made about $XXXX, I sold the bitcoin & transferred the money to the coinbase wallet & also left a few dollars in bitcoin, etherium, litecoin, etc. I tried to WITHDRAW U.S. DOLLARS shortly thereafter from my Wallet balance of about $XXXX to my XXXX account & was told I needed to "verify my identity" by uploading a front & back photo of my california driver's license. I did this once, twice...and now five or six times, & it keeps telling me the verification "failed." Other ways to withdraw will not work either. The banks they work with do NOT include my credit union, etc. And they will NOT tell my why my verification failed; what I can or should do to rectify , etc. PLEASE HELP !

Consumer Complaint: Back in early XXXX I sent funds ( {$2000.00} ) from coinbase to contribute in an ICO. The ICO sent the corresponding transaction back to my Ethereum wallet on coinbase ( Its an XXXX token so they can be sent to ethereum wallets and help along with any XXXX token ) but coinbase does not recognize the token and refuses to assist in anyway to send to tokens to a seperate wallet address for me. It took them over two months to even reply to my request for assistance and when they did they flat out refused to help. The process to do this is simple and would take maybe 5 minutes. I have emailed support and opened several cases, every time I am told they can not and will not help resolve the situation. This happens rather often and this company is holding my currency XXXX in my wallet.

Consumer Complaint: automatic bitcoin transfer from coinbase to XXXX platform stuck after depositing XXXX BTC to XXXX from external source. XXXX is the trading platform of Coinbase. Result : approx Eur XXXX worth of Bitcoins not accessible for approx 10 days now - Coinbase reports successful deposit from external source and reports successful auto-transfer to XXXX ( XX/XX/XXXX/XX/XX/XXXX ) - XXXX still reports transfer as pending ( status XX/XX/XXXX ) - As a result, deposited bitcoins not available on both platforms ( Coinbase and XXXX ) For approx 10 days now these funds have not been available to me to trade. They should have been available to me immediately after successful reception by Coinbase on XX/XX/XXXX, as the auto transfer from Coinbase to XXXX should have been instant.
