Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/, XXXX XXXX, I did purchase {$100.00} USD of ETH, {$100.00} USD of BTC, as well as {$100.00} USD of LTC. Approx. 6 days later on XX/XX/, I purchased another {$100.00} USD of LTC and {$200.00} USD of BTC. On XX/XX/ at XXXX while on Coinbase 's XXXX page I click a link ( never again ) which took me to my coinbase account. This person who I believed to be a Coinbase employee told that Coinbase was giving users who sent XXXX ETH to them XXXX to XXXX ETH back. I then tried to login to my account. Coinbase sent me at least three or four 2FA authentication codes, which I thought were a distraction. I never logged in. My email app appeared out nowhere with an email asking to authorize the Coinbase app. Since I authorized the app my account has remained locked. They say they are refunding me for {$100.00} USD of LTC and {$200.00} USD of BTC. However, They never told me anything about the coins I have in a wallet on there site. I had a reasonable expectation that my coins would be safe at Coinbase. I truly believe that employees of Coinbase are SECRETLY scamming the American public out of their money. I expect and pray for a full refund or have my account reinstated. Advice to all consumers : Learn all you can about scams on Coinbase. AND REPORT ALL SUSPECTED CRIMINAL ACTIVITY!

Consumer Complaint: Hi, I sent a SEPA transfer on XX/XX/XXXX from my bank account to my Coinbase account. The total amount was XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX Coinbase reversed the payment and sent me this email message : " We're unable to process your recent deposit for XXXX EUR sent on XX/XX/2018. These funds will be returned back to the sending bank within 1-2 business days. '' Two weeks have passed since then and the money have not reached my bank account yet. I opened a support case asking for this issue and they answered with an automatic respond. After that, I have sent several mails to Coinbase regarding this issue, but they do not respond anything.

Consumer Complaint: I deposited {$450.00} into XXXX ( This is a coinbase company ) to invest in BTC and my money was withdrawn from my bank 2 days ago on XX/XX/18. XXXX was showing pending transaction. When I checked in today to see if my money arrived yet, I was surprised with an account closure notice. No reason given. and they already have the form filled out and checked off that there is XXXX balance and no pending transactions. When I called their customer service the lady told me there was no reason listed and she could only refer me to read the terms and conditions. She then said " I will be terminating this call '' and hung up on me. Wow!!! I thought Coinbase was supposed to be one of the most trusted and secure cryptocurrency companies? Any help would be appreciated.

Consumer Complaint: Ive been a PAYING CUSTOMER of coinbase ( a bitcoin exchange platform on the internet ) since XX/XX/2017. I have had nothing but problems with coinbase. Thier site is CONSTANTLY broken in most araes concerned with withdrawing money. No issues depositing money of course but good luck getting YOUR REAL MONEY off of their platform! The newest SCAM coinbase is running is out of no where, restricting accounts. This wont allow for sells/buys meaning I have zero control over my REAL MONEY. My money is trapped and I want it ALL asap. XXXX $ I have TRIED contacting coinbases " support '' SEVERAL times both via email at coinbase.com/support and via the given telephone number. Ive gotten ZERO response from either. I called 5 times over 3 days holding a total of 72min. No answer EVER because there is nobody there to actually pick up. Sounds good and looks good but ZERO results or human contact. Coinbase uses a bot for their support who cant answer/solve my problem and refers me to the unanswered telephone number. Run around. I want my REAL MONEY at its highest earning level achieved ( XXXX $ ) off their platform ASAP. I want coinbase legally prosecuted and taken off the internet to STOP the scams they are running. Coinbase has over 193 NEGATIVE reviews on XXXX and only 11 positive. Where is the SEC, Consumer Protection Agency, Attorney General, ANYBODY getting paid by tax payers to prevent just this XXXX?

Consumer Complaint: I started investing into crypto currencies with Coinbase. I've put in a couple of thousand dollars into the account and bought some cryptocurrencies. One day they decided to lock my account. That was back in XX/XX/2017. Upon sending multiple emails, they continued to ignore me until XXXX where they finally asked me to submit my ID which I had done upon opening the account. I resubmitted everything and could see that they have picked up the files and I continued to follow up as the reason why my account was locked was never given to me. To my delight I found out that they have established a call centre. I took the action to follow up through their call centre only to be abused because they couldn't tell me anything other than someone is working on it. You can imagine how upset I must have been. They basically scammed me out of my account and will not give me access or provide reasons whatsoever! It is now coming to the end of XXXX and I have lost all these opportunities to trade. I don't even know where my money is right now they would not even confirm my account balance. What sort of a financial institution is this? Please help me get my funds back!

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2017 I purchased XXXX bitcoins for a price of {$300.00} through a company called Coinbase. At most the company claims delivery can take up to 10 days. After a week of not receiving my bitcoins I emailed Coinbase support. After almost two weeks they replied asking for a screenshot of my purchase status which still said " Pending ''. Keep in mind the funds were long taken from my bank account. Replying the same day I was later informed that my situation was being handled by a specialist. After not hearing back for another week I asked for an update and I never heard from Coinbase again. I attempted to submit a claim through my bank but because the transaction was " authorized '' they said they couldn't help me.

RE : XXXX XXXX # XXXX # # # # # # # # # # # Dear Sirs, I made a wire transfer that was issued on XX/XX/XXXX and received into the Coinbase accounts by XXXX XXXX XXXX on the same day. I have been attempting to locate this wire via my credit union since before the holidays without any luck. As of today, XX/XX/XXXX, I was able to verify with XXXX XXXX XXXX that the funds were received on the wire date. The monies in question, {$2900.00}, are intended to go to either my XXXX account under the name of [ Name ], or can be issued to my Coinbase account under the same name. As of today, they still are not credited to either XXXX or Coinbase. As you can imagine, this is a completely unprofessional and unreasonable amount of time for nothing to be showing up in my account ( s ) and I expect that there will not be any fees applied once the funds are found and credited. Of course, if this does not happen, my next course of action and compensation for this delay will be through legal means. I have since graduated and lost access to my .edu email account. Since XX/XX/XXXX, I have been actively trying to have my account transferred to my Gmail email address. The support section of their website ( https : //support.coinbase.comXXXX ) said I must verify my identity, which I did on XX/XX/XXXX. Per the written instructions, I contacted Coinbase ( https : //support.coinbase.comXXXX ) to alert them that all steps have been completed for my account to be transferred to my new email account. The company has stopped communicating completely, and has not replied to several requests for advice on how I can access my currency.
