Consumer Complaint: Dear sir or maddem I'm writing to you because of my financial ruin due to the company called coninbase.com. On XX/XX/2020 I attempted to transfer a crypto currency thats tied to the u.s dollar called usdt. I had them in an exchange called XXXX. Since my coinbase account was connected to my bank account and I needed those funds, I had to transfer to coinbase. I went on their site and looked up the usdt currency, I clicked on receive and was immediately given an address to my wallet. I sent {$14000.00} to that address. To my horror I found out that coinbase doesn't use that currency and the funds never arrived. I couldn't believe that it was so easy to fall into this pitfall. I contacted coinbase 3 times to no avail. I reached out on XXXX only for a coinbase rep tell me that its not their problem. After 2 agonizing weeks they responded to my claim with the same indifference. I have reached out to tether which is the company that created the usdt currency. They were quick to respond with an email. They told me that they can retrieve the funds if coinbase cooperates. I have reach out to a crypto currency recovery company and told me that this is an easy fix that should take coinbase min to return those funds. I have scoured every page on the internet and to my shock I found countless others fallen victim to coinbase XXXX trap. If coinbase doesn't support this currency why are they providing an address for that coin?? I know i should have check and trippled checked before I sent those funds. But coinbase should not profit of people mistakes so easily. If coinbase adopts usdt coin i would be able to access these funds, but they never will. There hundreds of thousands of dollars trapped due to this trap set by coinbase. I have anXX/XX/XXXXchild that needs care and without those funds I will be forced to borrow money. I have not slept right in the past 2 weeks. Please help me. I need my funds sent back or have tether be allowed to destroy this transaction and issue you me the funds. Here is a copy I sent to coinbase in it is a detailed description of the transaction. Please feel free to contact me anytime Dear sir or maddem I'm writing to you to beg for mercy. I have not traded crypto in yrs. My account was left for yrs, and when it finally recovered I decided to withdraw my funds. I transferred usdt from XXXX to coinbase. I did not notice that its not supported, I made a terrible mistake. Partially because I was given a receiving address from coinbase. This is the transaction You've successfully withdrawn XXXX USDT to the address. Your withdrawal address is XXXX, txid is XXXX I contacted tether and they are more than willing to help. Below is their email response. Have Coinbase contact us directly referencing to your ticket number XXXX # XXXX ), and we will communicate with them to see if we can assist them in recovering your funds. I'm at your mercy, without these funds I will suffer a painful loss. If I can get on my knees and beg in person I would. Please please help me. Please at least let tether try to help me. Consumer Complaint: All Concerned, Through Coinbase, I manage my digital cryptocurrency wallet. After submitting my personal information, which identifies me as living in XXXX XXXX,, I proceeded to submit my ID for verification purposed. My ID is issued from the State of Hawaii. Hawaii does not have an agreement with Coinbase for the trading of Crpytocurrency ; however, I indicated in my profile I am a permanent resident of XXXX XXXX, even if my drivers license does not reflect that. Subsequently, because Coinbase assumed Hawaii as my residency, I have been locked out of my account and unable to transfer any money out. I have approximately {$3000.00} in value that is being withheld from my possession. Coinbase has not responded to any request for support regarding this specific issue.

Consumer Complaint: Wire transfer to my account XX/XX/XXXX & XXXX 2020, thru XXXX {$2500.00} two transaction. After those Coinbase would not let me get into my account either to forward or remove funds. I could not get on line, even change passwords, they froze me out.. When on line for a phone #, call a # and got someone to help me.. He help me to ad {$2000.00}, to my account. I thought he was a employee of Coinbase., after that transaction, somehow he remove my {$4500.00} out of my account.. His name was XXXX his # XXXX. Wrote two certified letters to Coinbase, tp XXXX XXXX Chief Excutive Officer on XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX, and have not heard one word. Finally got a way to get into my account thru XXXX, which show XXXX balance, this was with there help line. I feel Coinbase has a responsibility to protect my investment, I never get a any notification funds were moved out of my account.

The company Coinbase has recently been locking users accounts and freezing their assests ( some seem to be up to 2 months ). This is horrific considering they may have wanted to buy/sell/trade their currencies out for XXXX. I have been a user on Coinbase for 2 years, however in XXXX they froze my account and I have yet to be able to access it. Timeline below : XX/XX/XXXX - I join coinbase and actively trade currencies Wed, XX/XX/XXXX - account is frozen after trading a currency Wed, XX/XX/XXXX - email them with a support ticket saying my funds are locked for verification Wed, XX/XX/XXXX - go through every possible identity verification, facial, passport, address. Still funds are locked. Fri, XX/XX/XXXX - send another support ticket, no response Sun, XX/XX/XXXX - email their CPO, no response Sun, XX/XX/XXXX - send another support ticket, no response Mon, XX/XX/XXXX - send another support ticket, no response During these times I have been requesting assistance on their subreddit ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ). Many other people are having the same issues with more money in their account than I do. I can only assume they are doing this to keep people into their coins as the market is currently booming. However if they keep this up during a crash I expect a large lawsuit will be heading their way. With regards to identification, they should know who I am through support tickets : XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: Hello, I am a Coinbase account holder with no stake in Coinbase, other than, being an independent user. I buy and sell cryptocurrencies through Coinbase and on XX/XX/2020, I executed 2 trades from my XXXX XXXX. One was for XXXX XLM coins with a value of {$5800.00} on that day and the other was for XXXX XRP coins with a value of {$33000.00} on that day. I sent both of these transactions to my account addresses for each of the coins. Since I had not traded any cryptocurrencies in a while, I sent both transactions without Tag numbers. I later found out, after my transactions did not post to my account that, I needed to have added a Tag number, which is also like an apartment number so that Coinbase would know where to post the transactions. I reached out to Coinbase on several occasions about my 2 transactions ; they responded regarding my XLM transaction for and had me send 15 XLM coins to my account with my Tag number to verify that it came from me. I did so ; they confirmed and posted my original XLM transaction from XX/XX/2020 to my account. They gave me 2 case numbers for my issues, case # XXXX was for XLM, and case # XXXX was for my XRP. On the day they resolved my XLM issue, they closed case # XXXX and case # XXXX for my XRP which was not resolved the same way my XLM issue was resolved. I opened a new case for my still missing XXXX XRP coins still not posted to my account but, held at Coinbase. The new case number they issued me was case # XXXX on XX/XX/2020. I have also filed a complaint on their website and was issued a case # XXXX. I have reached out to Coinbase on several occasions through their website customer support, XXXX, and XXXX on several occasions starting on XX/XX/2020, XX/XX/2020, XX/XX/2020, XX/XX/2020. They have stopped all communications with me and feel that they have not posted my XRP transaction due to recent issues with XRP in the market. To date, my XRP transaction for XXXX XRP was sent to my account address but without the Tag number and has remained with Coinbase. Due to recent market conditions with XXXX, Ive been unable to trade or reduce the market loss by not being able to trade my XRP. I have not retained a lawyer or contacted any other agencies as of today on this matter. All I want is to have my XRP transaction posted to my account as they did with my XLM transaction. I feel that Coinbase has had my XRP case # XXXX transaction in their system and is not looking into resolving my issue for some specific reason as Ive come across other people with the same issue on social media. I have transaction information from my XXXX XXXX XXXX confirming sending XRP to Coinbase on XX/XX/2020 if you need them. Consumer Complaint: On the XXXX XX/XX/2020 I tried to purchase XXXX worth of a cryptocurrency called XXXX. As soon as the money came out of my account, coinbase website went down. It then resumed normal service but the cryptocurrency that I bought hadnt been transferred into my digital wallet. Coinbase then refunded me the money. The problem now is they have locked my account with a message saying we ran into a problem collecting funds for a recent purchase. Please complete this payment to restore your account. It has nearly been 1 month, I have raised 5 tickets with support alongside trying to contact them on XXXX and XXXX with no avail. There are so many people encountering this problem as I believe coinbase could be trying to purposely hold peoples money for whatever reason they deem acceptable.

I have had a COUNBASE account for trading crypto currency for over a year at first I didnt have a XXXX problem apart from constant fees that I shouldnt be paying! But I seem to keep chasing what I was promised in the so called percentages I was being showed I made? Once I had that percentage I then had the app tell me I didnt have enough of that coin to move? I had more than enough of any currency I wanted to trade to move my gains to buy another coin to prosper from up and downs in the app.i then found I had thousands of pounds stuck in coins I couldnt move at all! Loosing me over XXXX up to date apox if not more. I made many contacts to the so called COINBASE Support only to constantly have a robot push me round in circles! I have had nothing at all on all my complaints and its made me And people around me XXXX! I cant XXXX XXXX Im having problems with the stress of no control and the loss of thousands and thousands of pounds not forgetting the money I would have and still would be making if allowed to transfer MY Money. They froze my account and stopped me moving my money but still let it be traded on a market.This is discusting abuse I feel destroyed inside XXXX and XXXX XXXX .please help me and thousands of other Coinbase customers as Im not alone. If my trades where allowed to be done Im shore I would have dibbled my investment if not more. We have all and still are being taken for fools. There is no support allso all Iv had is there platform trying to put adds on my personal page on face book! XXXX outrages.
