Consumer Complaint: Summary : 1 ) Coinbase withdrew {$1000.00} worth of Ethereum coin without any notification and despite having remediated a bank transfer issue within requested time frame 2 ) After reporting the issue, Coinbase locked my account and has not responded for 5 days despite multiple email requests. Given the recent crypto currency market crash and the account lock preventing me from selling the crypto coins I have in my account, this has resulted in monetary damages Coinbase Case Number : # XXXX Details : 1 ) Initiated a deposit of {$1000.00} from my bank account to Coinbase Pro 2 ) Within minutes, I received an email from Coinbase that the transaction was cancelled by my bank and that I can re-try again 3 ) Within minutes, I've logged into my Coinbase account which has an additional message that I have 5 days to remediate the issue or Coinbase. I immediately re-initiated the transfer. Coinbase confirmed with an email that the " fund recovery '' was successfully. " We have successfully collected the funds from your recent failed transfer '' 4 ) However I noticed then that Coinbase has already withdrew {$1000.00} in Ethereum coin. Important to note here is that the Eutherum coin was purchased previous and NOT using the deposit from the failed bank transfer. In fact, the {$1000.00} USD in question was actually still untouched in my Coinbase account so if that transfer failed, Coinbase should have debited those {$1000.00}. 5 ) I emailed Coinbase ( there is no phone option ) and Coinbase responded that they've locked my account & requested that I update my password. Once complete I can email them to unlock the account. 6 ) I confirmed that I've completed the instruction and requested my account to be unlocked plus the {$1000.00} in Eutherum coin that was wrongly taken away to be re-deposited. I explained again that it does NOT appear to be a security breach to my account, as it appears to me that Coinbase withdrew the amount as the timestamp of the withdrawal matches with the failed bank transfer. 7 ) Received an email " Having investigated the issue, we are working with a specialist to address it properly. We will follow-up with you as soon as we have an update. '' 8 ) To date, after 5 days, I have not received an update nor has my account being unlocked despite multiple email requests.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2021 I clicked a phishing link saying my Coinbase account was compromised. I reset my password on the internet browser link and then logged in on the app where I saw different tokens being converted into Bitcoin. I called Coinbase to freeze my account and did it virtually as there are no live people. I got an email saying my funds were frozen. Then I got an email saying all of my funds were transferred out into a different wallet. I did not do any two factor authentication as I am supposed to. I did not authorize any funds transferring out. I also did not authorize any computer besides my phone to complete any transaction ever. Someone took around XXXX from me, which Coinbase shouldnt have allowed within seconds of a password being changed. They also could have reversed or stopped this as I was on the phone within seconds of changing my password. I have contacted them repeatedly but it has been over two weeks now without any personalized response or acknowledgement. They said they transferred my case to a specialist and are not responding to any more emails.

Consumer Complaint: I have been trading on Coinbase for a couple months now and have about 6K in various currencies there. I went to try and sell a couple for profit this morning and have kept getting the same Account Restricted message. It states I can not buy or sell crypto and I have no idea why this would be. They ask you to contact customer support but they do not have live customer support. I have even messaged their system and verified my ID multiple times in the last couple hours to try and get this resolved but it appears to be going nowhere. I also have read others have had similar issues and their accounts being locked for months on end. I understand financial sites tend to lean on the safe side with any supposed issues but at this point with no human or even chat contact to speak with over there, I fear this is now borderline fraudulent and criminal behavior to tie up my money and prohibit me from my own research/profits I'm owed. They will simply not not let me access or sell it when I am more than willing to provide any verification or documentation in order to comply with what they need to verify my information. Yet I still get no answer? Given the amount of money tied up in there, I may even have to seek legal counsel if this is not resolved soon, but I am hoping the XXXX and others can step in and make this right. In fact I am hopeful if enough people bring this to your attention it will proctor Coinbase ( a real time trading platform ) to get real time customer support to alleviate this confusion and frankly criminal service they are currently providing.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021, I deposited {$1000.00} from my XXXX XXXX acct. to Coinbase to purchase coins ( deposit ref # XXXX ) I really wasnt in a rush to purchase any coins but wanted the money to be readily available when I did get ready. I also honestly trusted Coinbase to be a trustworthy company, not to mention the money was in fact debit out my acct. so I just knew it was in my Coinbase acct. a couple weeks went by and I wanted to buy into a coin, I log into my Coinbase acct. and to my surprise my balance is {$0.00}. I immediately start to look through my Coinbase acct. to see what happen to my money. I noticed that the same day I added {$1000.00} the acct. Coinbase said that I withdrew the {$1000.00} back into my bank acct, I knew that was a lie because I actually went to bed an forgot about the deposit. I also wasnt mad at that point because, I thought the money would just be back in my bank acct., it would be easy to track and maybe it was some kind of error with me depositing the money to Coinbase an THEY reversed the payment. So I immediately call my bank, they inform me that they see when I made the deposit to Coinbase ( {$1000.00} ) but have NO records of the money being put back into my acct. by Coinbase ... SO WHERE IS THE MONEY, IS IT FLOATING IN THE AIR? I reached out to Coinbase to file a complaint ( # XXXX & # XXXX ) long story short they did reach back out to me after weeks and closed my case UNRESOLVED!!! I deposited money & my BANK VERIFIED that, I DID NOT BUY ANY COINS, BANK HAS NO RECORD OF MONEY BEING PUT BACK INTO MY ACCT. & Coinbase is {$0.00} this is ridiculous the amount of complaints Coinbase has for stealing not just my {$1000.00} but hundreds of thousands of dollars from people an the government has not shut them down.

Consumer Complaint: Im having this problem with Coinbase. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX I sent XXXX xrp coins to my coinbase wallet, and had also purchased {$100.00} in bitcoin through coinbase on XX/XX/XXXX, Coinbase would not let me withdraw my xrp to my secured wallet, I read online that it was a problem with the mobile app and to try on a computer browser. To log onto my coinbase account on my computer I had to do 2 factor-authenticator, this required me to click on an email they sent to the email on file which I no longer have access to. So I clicked I no longer have access to this email, which allowed me to change it by uploading my ID to confirm my identity. I was told I would receive an email when my ID was confirmed and that my email has been changed. I got an email saying that they couldnt confirm my identity and to try again, but the next time I opened my app I had to re-log in, but when I went to enter my credentials I noticed I could only sign in with the emaiI had requested to change to even though I was notified that they couldnt confirm my identity. And when I logged in my total account balance was {$5.00}. No bitcoin and no xrp was in my portfolio, and no transactions from the last two years are showing. I know its the same account because all my info is the same and I have the same wallet addresses. I contacted coinbase support and received no response, submitting a ticket and all and received nothing in return. I will attached transaction ID and blockchain ID

Consumer Complaint: I initiated a {$200000.00} wire transfer depositing USD into my Coinbase account on XX/XX/12. The funds left my bank account and have still not appeared in my Coinbase account. Its states on the Coinbase site that domestic wire transfers will fun either same day, or in a worst case, the next day. I have also not spoken to a single person at Coinbase despite formally filing complaint case # XXXX. I have not received any information as to where that money is, over a week after the money was wired to Coinbase. This is unacceptable and must be resolved.
