I did call XXXX XXXX and it was a sewing machine ordered and deliver to an address I never lived at. I am XXXX XXXX XXXX male and do n't even know how to sew. This is not mine I never had an account with either of these companies. I disputed received a letter XXXX/XXXX/2016 stating they are going to remove and then another letter XXXX/XXXX/2016 stating they are collecting. Please help

Consumer Complaint: The debt to XXXX XXXX is a checking account and credit card which is well past the 7 year period a person has to contact them. The company, as of recently, trying to collect the XXXX XXXX debt for pennies on the dollar is : From address : Jefferson Capital Systems , LLC, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX Return address : XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX I had already sat in a XXXX XXXX branch, with a customer service XXXX, and spoke over the phone with another customer service specialist regarding this debt collection stretching past the 7 year period which I have proof of from a 2006 credit card statement. According to " Jefferson Capital Systems , LLC '' they will take XXXX % of the money owed and it will be paid off. From other people online who have fallen for similar debt collection agency tactics it does n't work. XXXX pulled that on people and they are now in a class action lawsuit. These are not fair debt collecting practices, especially regarding the recent climate of the jobs market 4 to 5 years ago.

The balance was satisfied on XX/XX/XXXX. I called XXXX and they said they have forwarded the debt to Jefferson Capital Systems and now there is a duplicate collection placed on the credit report on XX/XX/XXXX - a year after the fact which is double dinging me and causing the FICO score to be hindered. I have spoke to Jefferson and they provided the same account information as XXXX and XXXX. This is not a valid collection for Jefferson.

Consumer Complaint: The issue is with XXXX credit reporting in regards to Jefferson Capital XXXX while ago I had filed a dispute in regards to the amounts listed in the Charge off. Since that time, my credit has made a comeback, and I was able to receive funding for a new home loan. I was informed by my underwriter that I needed to have the dispute notifications taken off my report to be able to receive funding. I followed their instructions and called the reporting agency SEVERAL times to have the dispute remarks removed, and they started a report on the issue. 30+ days pass, and my underwriter contacts me again in regards to the same dispute remarks being there. So today I called back and spoke to them and they told me to pound dirt as there was nothing I could do as the creditor refused to remove the remark event though I agreed to the amounts and dropping the dispute. I feel that my credit is being held hosting from XXXX and Jefferson Capital as I now might lose my funding ( and GREAT percentage rate ) as the dispute remarks will not be taken off. I appreciate any assistance you can provide

Consumer Complaint: I reached out to Jefferson Capital Systems on XXXX/XXXX/2016 after finding a Collection account on my credit report on XXXX/XXXX/2016. I spoke with a male representative on the phone. After the gentleman was able to locate the account we verified some information and found that they had an incorrect address and the account was not verified. I explained to him my concern which was the credit collection report and improper notification & verification of this account. I told him I wanted to pay the account for the full balance due and have this removed because I was not properly notified. He furthered explained to me that the account was still owned by Jefferson Capital Systems, however, it was sent off to a 4th party collection agency and I would have to pay them. I then go into further detail about the issue now and explained that I did not feel comfortable paying another agency for collection owed to them. The gentleman told me, " I 'm sorry but there is nothing I can do. '' I advised him that I would be reaching out to several different agencies over this matter.

Consumer Complaint: Jefferson Capitpal is in violation of the FCRA and FDCA I believe to my lawyers knowledge as well as my background involve with these laws. The company seems to have bought this debt from XXXX which has unfortunately sold them a in accurate account based or dispute with them that they refused to correct.As well This company should be reporting the first day of collection based on the info from XXXX and not showing as recent collection with them.They must report the original date of collection, Instead they are reporting it as it is recent which is causing other companies to deny credit based on there incoorect date and violation of the FCRA and FDCA.They know this hoping it will harm a consumer more by reporting false information, As well the amount is not correct and other information I am not disclosing because they should know this, instead they expect consumers to correct there mistakes for them .No attempt was ever made by them as well in neither letter or phone call which I only accept mail communications and they have failed to do so cause I could have reported this and dispute then.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX charged off a huge cell phone bill that I have disputed for over 3 years to XXXX collection agencies. Initially, XXXX sent this disputed, unresolved balance to Jefferson Capital. Jefferson Capital accepted a proposed settlement in the amount of {$1000.00} because this is the amount I felt I owed for breaking the contract. Instantly, I paid {$500.00} and agreed to pay remainder {$500.00} over a 60 day period in which Jefferson Capital agreed. I called Jefferson Capital, LLC back and they informed me they no longer serviced the debt. I suddenly contacted XXXX recovery department but was either disconnected or hung up on several times when attempted to speak with someone for several weeks. Starting the last week on XXXX, 2016, I started receiving many calls from XXXX ( XXXX collection agency ) who said they represented XXXX. They said they had received several complaints from customers stating they already had payment arrangement with another XXXX collection agency but regardless, they could not work with an amount agreed upon by former, Jefferson Capital, LLC. They refused my proposal of remainder {$500.00} and persistent on a set amount. I again tried to reach out for help from XXXX. XXXX refuses to discuss this with me although they are reporting derogatory on my credit. This need to be cleared up XXXX. Why wo n't a creditor like XXXX discuss balance with me and they are reporting on my credit? XXXX has ruined my credit.
