Consumer Complaint: I have received correspondence from Jefferson Capital Systems LLC ( JCS ) and they are alleging that I owe a debt. They have not provided name or address of the original creditor. They are in fact a debt buyer and have no license to collect in the state of California in which they are trying to collect from. They have given false and misleading information to the CRAs and have caused great damage to me and my credit report. Jefferson Capital has shown gross negligence in their practices and have violated the FDCPA and FCRA in countless ways. JCS created an account " for me '' using my personal identifying information without my consent and have contacted me more than once without my permission. I have requested for validation of the alleged debt and it has yet to be validated. I will be sending out a second request & notice of dispute on Monday ( see attached ). They have caused great injury to me and my reputation by negatively reporting this alleged debt and causing me to have stress and anxiety whenever this matter is brought up.

Consumer Complaint: Nothing has happened. There still reporting inaccurate information and accounts on my report. I have reached out certified mail on several occasions with no results. The last time I've reached out was XX/XX/2023, providing proof of with my certified dispute letter, ending with no results from any of the credit bureaus. This collection that is reporting on my credit report from this company was under a lawsuit. I was one of the customers that was under the multistate XXXX settlement lawsuit. This loan was supposed to be removed from all 3 credit bureaus and I was paid out a settlement check. Those were the agreements within the lawsuit. I have proof that restitution was paid out to my account from this lawsuit.
