This loan was involved in a class action lawsuit in which the original creditor ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) was required to completely forgive this debt and completely remove it from my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: I've sent multiple letters to this agency about this not being my account. After being advised by identitytheft.gov, I've completed and sent a fraud affidavit via certified mail. I can see they received it, but nothing has changed. See supporting documents. Even the USPS tracking. My official complaint is against XXXX XXXX. My information was used to obtain an apartment, cell phone, and an auto loan with my ex-partner. I am a victim of identity theft and have put this off for too long. I've completed the proper steps, 1. notify creditors 2. police report 3. informed the state of Texas. The individual I've suspected for this theft is now deceased, and the police department said to contact the federal trade commission to seek relief. These companies disregard laws and dont care whos credit or lives they impact.

Consumer Complaint: This collection agency is furnishing an alleged debt that is on my consumer report ( XXXX XXXX and XXXX ) The collection Agency JEFFERSON CAPITAL SYSTEM which is on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, MN XXXX has not provided me with the proper validation according to 15 usc 1692g. Also they have violated 15 usc 1692f. I have not received any proof that there was a such agreement that expressly authorizes this debt collection agency to collect on an Alleged debt which is a violation of the FDCPA. I sent a debt validation letter on XX/XX/2021 and have not recieved any proof of the from them that there is an agreement in place pursuant to 15 usc 1692f ( 1 ) of the FDCPA that they can collect from me or that they even own the debt. This is a violation of my right to privacy. The company has also violated these laws. - 15 usc 1692b ( 2 ). Requesting location information from a family member saying i owe such debt - 15 usc 1692b ( 5 ) Using a symbol to indicate to the consumer that the debt collector is in the debt collection business - 15 usc 1692c ( a ) ( 1 ) calling the consumer at an unusual time or place - 15 usc 1692c ( a ) ( 3 ) calling at the consumers work place when it is prohibited to recieve such communication. - 15 usc 1692d ( 1 ) using the means of harm to damage my reputation - 15 usc 1692d ( 2 ) The use of profane language which is used to abuse the hearer or reader - 15 usc 1692d ( 5 ) Causing the telephone to ring repeatedly with intent to annoy, Abuse or harass any person at the called number - 15 usc 1692e ( 2 ) The false representation of the legal status of a debt - 15 usc 1692f ( 1 ) The collection of any amount unless such amount is expressly authorized by the agreement creating the debt - 15 usc 1692g ( a ) Failure to provide the 5 things to prove the comsumer owes a debt within 5 business days. There is over {$15000.00} listed in violations of the FDCPA and if this issue is not resolved i will pursue litigation with this company I know that the company is in violation of federal law. So if this company will not remove this debt that is clearly not mine from my consumer report i will be seeking monetary Relief of {$15000.00} for violations of the FDCPA.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, An unknown person opened an account with XXXX XXXX using information that wasn't even close to mine. The {$160.00} was sent to collections after nobody paid. XXXX XXXX was negligent in not verifying information and responsible for this entire situation. On XX/XX/XXXX, Jefferson Capital assumed the account for collections and never sent me anything via mail. They called but the calls were suspicious and I thought it was Phishing Scam. In XX/XX/XXXX, I reviewed my credit and discovered this account had significantly impacted my credit score by negative 300 points. I disputed the account and it was deleted from my credit history. We have continued to receive mail and phone calls from Jefferson Capital regarding this account that has been verified as a fraud. Jefferson Capital has since passed the account to XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have spent at least 10 hours trying to have this account removed from my life and yet it continues to reappear despite XXXX XXXX acknowledging it was fraud.
