Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, I cancelled all services with XXXX XXXX due to divorce filings in XX/XX/XXXX. Since that time, multiple collection agencies have bought the debt and continued to try to collect regardless of me contacting XXXX advising them of the divorce and that I was not in possession of the equipment as they were given to my soon to be ex-husband. Furthermore, it has been 7 years and should be removed. I have contacted XXXX over 10 times and to no end, they keep having debt collection companies buy it out and send requests for payment. In addition, I contracted XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX for which I have become permanent XXXX following a 2 week XXXX XXXX. I would like to request that this account be permanently closed given the length as well as ongoing health conditions.

I have disputed this several times, as I have not had a XXXX XXXX service. When I call Jefferson, they tell me XXXX XXXX is now handling this, and they are unable to provide me any information. I call XXXX XXXX and they tell me Jefferson is handling this and I have to contact them. All I want is some sort of bill and proof of account and they can not even tell me anything about this file. This needs removed from my credit!

Consumer Complaint: I received a letter from Jefferson Capital debt collector XXXX XXXX in regards to a debt from XXXX. It wasnt even addressed to the correct name. It was addressed with my maiden name and I've been married since XXXX. I called and disputed the debt because I don't remember owing the original creditor. I received a letter XXXX XXXX stating they would not be notifing the credit bureaus about the debt. Even if this is a legitimate debt it is way past statue of limitations. Isn't this illegal.
