As a part of the application process, Citizens requires that I sign an " Authorization Form '' which grants Citizens the right to obtain any information at any time about my application, which seems rather excessive, unnecessary and unfair. My concern is that in order to get a HELOC, Citizens will have the right to pull my information whenever it wants. The form says - " ... the undersigned hereby give Citizens authorization to obtain any and all information necessary to complete my application request. It is understood that a photocopy of this form will also serve as authorization and the right to verify or re-verify all information for any time period before or after the credit decision is made. ''

Adverse action against a consumer is AGAINST THE LAW according to the Equal Credit Opportunity Act which is codified in 15 U.S.C XXXX. CITIZENS BANK, N.A are subject to criminally liability for violating 15 U.S.C 1691 as I have proof that I was XXXX against by CITIZENS BANK, N.A. due to the response I received. CITIZENS BANK, N.A is in violation of 15 U.S.C Code 1642. U.S.C 1681m and 12 cfr 1002 because I, the consumer, made an application in good faith, but credit was not issued. Furthermore, because my social security number ( credit card ) was used, and I received NO benefit. Consumer Complaint: My loan is currently being serviced by Citizens One. They have the worst customer service Ive ever experienced in my life. Most of their employees are not trained with the knowledge they need in order to provide the answers and services required. Furthermore, I can not understand most of their XXXX based employees. Over and over again I am promised callbacks, and I never get them. Long story short, I have a forbearance plan that was recently terminated due to conditions completely out of my control in 100 % at the fault of my loan servicer. Without my permission, they changed my mailing address to an address, not even in my same state! And after doing so, they sent me communications regarding my loan/mortgage forbearance plan to that location, with my personal information on it, and never made any other attempts to contact me through any other forms of communication. Then, after not receiving response for meobviously, because I had XXXX knowledge of them attempting to contact me they terminated my forbearance plan back in the middle of XX/XX/2022. I only became aware of this because somebody came by in person and left a letter on my door. Meanwhile, I was trying to get updates on the status of my forbearance plan and I called numerous times, attempting to leave messages with the rep assigned to my forbearance plan. Never has she ever been available nor would I ever get a callback from her even the customer service would promise it. I am always left in the dark. And I am lied to, and I have no ability to speak to anyone over the phone who is able to provide any assistance. On the loan solution center website, there is XXXX information updated about my forbearance plan having been terminated. The letter that was left on my door, says that I have a right to an in person interview to discuss options for the current status of my loan. I have called many times and spoken with customer service as well as the loss mitigation teams, at citizens one bank ; regardless, everyone I have spoken to is either without the proper knowledge and training to help me, or promises a call back, and they never do. I am completely unable to get the in person interview scheduled, as I am told him that letter that I have the right to have. Also, and most importantly, in effect, I am unable to get my forbearance plan reinstated. The overall issue is that my forbearance plan was terminated because citizens, one bank changed my mailing address without my permission, and even after I requested it be changed back to my current address, they failed to do so multiple times, which they admit to. Their incompetence and inability to simply schedule an interview has me stuck in limbo regarding my current living situation, as well as my loan, itself. Please assist! Thank you, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/22 a check of the mobile banking application provide by citizens bank via the XXXX play store indicated that a transaction on hold would cause an overdraft. Transferred {$55.00} from a citizens bank savings account to cover the transaction. Checked mobile banking application at XXXX on XX/XX/22 and noticed that the hold processed and additional transaction had occurred placing account in negative again. I made a cash deposit of {$47.00} at a citizen 's bank ATM at XXXX EST bringing the balance to XXXX. I checked the mobile banking application at XXXX EST and account balance was showing XXXX but no additional fees or transactions were listed in the transaction summary screen, the document center, or other communication methods from Citizens bank. Attempted to resolve this conflict of balance to official presented information from citizens bank. I was informed there was no way to resolve this discrepancy in their system until the automated systems processed at close of business today.

Consumer Complaint: A complaint was filed with the CFPB XX/XX/2022, for unauthorized transaction that was made on my account. Citizens Bank responded to my complaint on XX/XX/2022, and in that response they informed me that " Per our research, the chip component of the debit card can not be duplicated ''. With this statement, Citizens Bank has not provided documentation from the third party card company that validates this as statement as truth, also-Citizens Bank has not provided physical evidence of the unauthorized transactions that is required under 15 USC 1693g ( a ) which is by a signature, photograph, fingerprint, electronical or mechanical confirmation that these transactions were in-fact authorized by me. It is the purden of proof for the financial institution to prove that the consumer infact authorized the transactions and the proof is provided by providing the referenced forms previous listed above, in which Citizens Bank has failed to do. My original complaint and concern has not be addressed or answered. CFPB please help assist in resolving this matter as soon as possible. Thanks.
