Under 15USC 1681 section 602 states I have the right to privacy. 15USC 1681 section 604A section 2 also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions. Under 15USC 1666B a creditor may not treat a payment on a credit card account under an open end consumer credit plan as late for any purpose.

Consumer Complaint: I received the letter saying they were going to force flood insurance on us for our property being in a flood zone however our property is not in a flood zone. Citizens have the same property documents that I have access to if not more. Each time I try to call I am transferred or disconnected or on hold for over 45 minutes just to speak to a person. This is frustrating as the letter they send does not include details on how to handle the situation when their research is wrong and only allows for us to purchase our own flood insurance or they will force flood insurance on us. We should be given clear direction of how to protest their flood insurance requirement. I have provided them the standard flood hazard determination form that was filled out by a company named XXXX in XXXX at 2021. This document should be acceptable as the prior rep at citizens told me that I could get a form from XXXX which is XXXX 's competitor. I have the survey which shows the property is not located in the flood zone. The county website has flood zone maps also showing my property is not in a flood zone.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX I was XXXX payments behind on my mortgage and contacted the mortgage company for assistance. I initially fell behind on my mortgage because I was laid off due to Covid, I have since begun working again and I am now making more then I was when I bought the home. I was placed on a special forbearance and told it would be good through the end of XXXX During the special forbearance I was told to apply for a payment deferral which I did. I was initially told in XXXX I would have an answer regarding the deferral within 45-60 days. As of XX/XX/XXXX I still did not have an answer and was told to please allow more time for a decision to be made. While on the forbearance I was told that no payment was due and my credit was protected. I was also told I would be approved for the payment deferral as long as I didnt have a lien on my property ( which I dont ). I was told this by multiple loss mitigation agents. I spoke to : XXXX ( Agent ID XXXX ) Rajwinder ( Agent ID XXXX ) XXXXi ( Agent ID XXXX ) Each agent told me the same thing regarding the payment deferral. I asked to speak to a supervisor at least 5 separate times and was told a supervisor would call me within 24 -- 48 hours and no one ever called me back. Today XX/XX/XXXX I was told I was denied for the payment deferral because my investor did not allow for this type of assistance. This is not true, I have a VA loan and spoke to the VA and they in fact DO allow for payment deferrals and advised me to file a compliant with the CFPB once they heard my story. I do not understand why I was told to apply for a payment deferral if a payment deferral is not allowed on VA loans ( according to citizens bank ) I do not understand why it took 4 months for someone to tell me a payment deferral would not work due to my type of loan. I do not understand why I have not been contacted by a supervisor when I have asked to speak to one on at least 5 separate occasions. I do not understand why I was initially told I could make partial payments to get caught up and now I am being told Citizens will only accept a full payment and partial payments are not allowed.

Consumer Complaint: As a federally protected consumer, I am hereby expressing my right to privacy and this an OPT OUT NOTICE per 12 CFR 1016.7. I am now opting out and rescinding any and ALL authorization, I the consumer may have given you. I mean ANY and all consent whether it be written, unwritten, verbal, implied, and non verbal is revoked per 15 USC 6802. Per the FCRA 1681b ( a ) states that " In general Subject to subsection ( c ) any consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report under the following circumstances and no other ; in accordance with the written instructions of the consumer to whom it relates '' Therefor any furnisher of information to credit agencies and the consumer reporting agencies do not have my consent to furnish this information, and they surely do not have my written consent. According to the Privacy Act of 1974, the term record means any item, collection, or grouping of information about an individual that is maintained by an agency, including, but not limited to, his education, financial transactions, medical history, and criminal or employment history and that contains his name, or the identifying number, " NO AGENCY shall DISCLOSE any record which is contained in a system of records by any means of communication to any person or to any agency, except pursuant to a written request by, or with the prior written consent of, the individual to whom the record pertains. You have violated both the FCRA and also the Privacy Act of 1974 Per the FCRA 15 USC 1681a ( 2 ) Exclusions, a report containing information solely as to transactions or experiences between the consumer and the person making the report ; Therefore REPORTING transaction history is illegal. I called the bank and was told that this was back interest due to when they close the billing period. My complaint is there is no way to access the true balance due, even through the bank 's own application. This is deceptive and designed to keep charging interest even when the balance is paid in full.

I got into a car accident in XXXX on my XXXX, and the car was totaled my insurance told me not to worry about it and don't make a payment. I have proof that I still made the payments and your company refunded me over $ XXXX but yet told me that I was late during the month of XXXX and XX/XX/2023. How is that even possible? I believe this negative entry on my credit report is inaccurate because I have a record that my insurance company sent you {$42000.00} and i made a payment of {$3700.00} and other automatic payments of {$1200.00}... This monthly payment always comes out of my account religiously every month non-stop. How can you say that I missed a payment in XXXX and XXXX?

Consumer Complaint: Citizens Bank is grossly mishandling a fraud claim. They refuse to reimburse me the amount of {$150.00} that was stolen from my account on XX/XX/2022 via debit card transaction. When I filed a fraud claim with Citizens Bank they erroneously made a stop payment for a transaction that I authorized to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2022. At this point I explained to them that an error was made and I filed a new claim for the correct transaction that was definitely fraud. Now citizens Bank has told me five times they refuse to honor the claim because it is a duplicate claim. It is not a duplicate claim. The banker who filed the original claim made an error. Now they are refusing to refund my money.
