Subissue: Seized or attempted to seize your property

Consumer Complaint: Back in, I'm guessing around XXXX and XX/XX/2022, a man showed up at my doorstep to serve me with court documents for an upcoming XXXX XXXX These court documents had a broad list of what I was being sued for. It stated Citi card NA. Prior to this I had paid off 3 Citi card debts. I was unsure which debt this was for. The amount sued for did not match any one card I was in debt to. The second serving of these court documents had a court date listed at which I never made it to court. Time goes by and sometime in XX/XX/2022, I received a document that stated a lien was put against me. The paperwork attached again held very little information. It has a dollar amount I am unfamiliar with, stated it is not a court order etc. Not to mention I never received paperwork for the outcome of supposed court hearing. The holidays have passed so I started to look into this matter. I first figured out which card the amount belonged to, I think. I believe it may be a total to two cards. It was Home Depot by Citi. I can not locate this debt in my credit report either and believe the amount to be inaccurate. Anyway, I found this out by calling Citi card and asking about my accounts. I had paid off 3 and the fourth for under {$2000.00} was sent off to this law office. Just so happened to be the law office sending me this paperwork ... .fraudulent paperwork. I called their office and left a message early last week. In the meantime I contacted my XXXX XXXX XXXX recorder, who supposedly helped with this lien. Well, just so happened no such lien exists... so now I have fake court documents dated from XXXX ( more than ample time to show up in the system ), threatening to sue me over an amount that is not accurate with minimum info on the actual creditor involved. I do believe this all goes against the Fair Debt Collection Practices.. I don't know what to do. I was signed up with a debt consolidation firm for a year. Due to some unforseen events, I did not get the opportunity to complete the process, but did pay off quite a few debts. Since then I have slowly been touching base with the remaining debt owed and setting up payments. I don't even know if this amount is accurate and personally do not want to work with this firm due to their fraudulent scare tactics. Listed below is the company in question : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX an artificial XXXX tree was delivered to my house. my wife notified me of a package we did not expect. I left outside thinking it was delivered by accident. the shipper was wayfair and I called wayfair to notify them of this. 4 hours later, the XXXX tree was taken from my porch. I called wayfair to notify them again it was stolen. Wayfair did not tell me anything was wrong. I called again XX/XX/XXXX and was told the item was from a new credit card. I told them I did not open this card and it was FRAUD. they told me a sofa and another item was coming as well. I repeated please stop the orders because they are not mine XX/XX/XXXX, wayfair delivery tries to deliver a {$3000.00} sofa. I tell the delivery team it is not mine and this was supposed to be closed for fraud.I called wayfair XX/XX/XXXX and told them this shouldnt be happening it was fraud, they tell me another item is coming but that will be canceleld and dont worry. on XX/XX/XXXX, I receive an alert I owe money on this credit card. I called wayfair they then notify me the account was deemed NOT FRAUD. I then went to the police station that day and received a police blotter. I sent wayfair the police report. I called wayfair again today XX/XX/XXXX and wayfair says its not fraud again. i told them again it was not opened by me and they will see. now the deliquent charges are showing up on my experian report.

Consumer Complaint: Noticed an unfamiliar charge with XXXX on my account in the amount of {$70.00} then immediately filed an online dispute with Citibank through their mobile application ( charge was made XX/XX/XXXX, disputed XX/XX/XXXX ) Per Citibank 's status page, XXXX was contacted on XX/XX/XXXX and responded on XX/XX/XXXX. I just checked the status and it shows I'm responsible for the charge and now the case is now resolved ( as of XX/XX/XXXX ) Citibank states that a letter detailing my dispute resolution should be available within 24 hours but nothing is available. Please see screenshots. Thank you

Consumer Complaint: When I opened my account in XX/XX/XXXX I was given a {$2000.00} Credit Limit. I paid way more than my minimum amount due every single month. I was trying to raise my credit score. In XXXX of XXXX, I made a payment mid month, and then on XX/XX/XXXX I paid {$800.00} for my XXXX payment which was an early payment. On XX/XX/XXXX I paid my entire balance off in the amount of XXXX. I did this right before I left to go to Colorado which was 18 hours away from home to take my daughter to a medical specialist. I had used every penny I had to my name to put on this credit card to help my credit, with the expectation that it would be available for my future use. They instead lowered my credit limit to {$390.00} as soon as I paid the balance off. I called immediately to inquire to the reason and dispute it. I was told that it was reduced due to a late XXXX payment ( that I paid early in the amount of {$800.00}! ). I could not get them to fix the situation but I was given a fax number to fax in my dispute. I was told that I could suspend payments until the dispute was responded to and resolved. I went to Best Buy and faxed the dispute from there, I also contacted my bank to dispute the payment since they put me in a horrible situation being 1000 miles away from home with no money or no credit card to use. The bank agreed with me about my dispute and issued me a provisional credit, and later issued me a final credit for the {$1900.00}. Last year before they closed my account they told me they would set me up on a {$60.00} month payment plan, and would raise my limit once it was paid off. I electronically signed the documents for the payment plan, and then they instead closed my account further harming my credit. They are still reporting late payments and now a charge off even though they never responded to or resolved my disputes.

Issue: Problem when making payments

Subissue: You never received your bill or did not know a payment was due

Consumer Complaint: Macy 's has moved everyone to opening an XXXX XXXX Macy 's card but sold it as if it was just a new account to go with the already existing account I had with Macy 's. I have had a Macy 's credit card for years, they promoted this XXXX XXXX account I did not want but signed up with for the discount. I paid this account in full after opening it. Each time I would return to Macy 's to make an additional purchase I would ask to use my Macy 's account for the charge, I specifically said my exisiting Macy 's account. I did not realize they were making these charges to the XXXX XXXX account as I did not ask for that. I would receive text messages telling me the account was past due and to click a link, when I clicked the link they directed me to my Macy 's account showing I did not owe in fact Macy 's is carrying a balance they owe me. Now I find out by monitoring my credit this balance was for the XXXX XXXX card that never showed up on this link I would check to pay it off. Now I am showing negative payment history on my credit. I called this evening to pay off the balance, the person on the line did not understand the impact to my credit as they are not in the XXXX and when I asked for a XXXX representative they said that person was not available. These creditors are ruining our credit and collecting fees that are not appropriate as they rack up this income then tell us didn't we read the legal information but who has the time to when they are pushing a card on you at the time of your purchase. This is getting ridiculous and I now understand why nobody wants to take these credit cards as they will just ruin your credit and rack up additional fees. I paid the card in full tonight but the damage to my credit is not corrected.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report

Subissue: Information belongs to someone else

Consumer Complaint: Im honestly stumped. Regardless of how many times I claim to be the individual writing this letter it seems this message is truly missed. For the record, Im the one whos initiating these disputes under my name. This item is UNKNOWN to ME. I dont get why youre claiming this is fraudulent or of a high risk nature. The documents Ive provided are legit. These are mine, filed with the appropriate agencies & support my position. Lets get the record straight!!! First of all I know that under Section 619 Obtaining information under false pretenses that any person who knowingly and willfully obtains information on a consumer from a consumer reporting agency under false pretenses shall be fined under title 18 United States Code, imprisoned for not more than 2 years, or both. Most importantly, Ive never sent my documentation to anyone else which seems to be a claim that constitutes high-risk due to potential fraud. According to FCRA 611 ( a ) ( 3 ) Determination That Dispute IsFrivolous or irrelevant ( A ) a consumer reporting agency may terminate a reinvestigation of information disputed by a consumer under that paragraph if the agency reasonably determines that the dispute by the consumer is frivolous or irrelevant, including by reason of a failure by a consumer to provide sufficient information to investigate the disputed information. ( B ) Notice of determination. Upon making any determination in accordance with subparagraph ( A ) that a dispute is frivolous or irrelevant, a consumer reporting agency shall notify the consumer of such determination not later than 5 business days after making such determination, by mail or, if authorized by the consumer for that purpose, by any other means available to the agency. Again, under 617 Civil liability for negligent noncompliance [ 15U.S.C. 1681o ] a person who is negligent in failing to comply with any requirement imposed under this title with respect to any consumer is liable to that consumer in an amount equal to the sum of ( 1 ) any actual damages sustained by the consumer as a result of the failure; and ( 2 ) in the case of any successful action to enforce any liability under this section, the costs of the action together with reasonable attorneys fees as determined by the court.
