Consumer Complaint: I have found several incorrectly reported dated on my credit report regarding this debt that i have tried to rectify with the creditor directly but to no avail. On XX/XX/2023 I legally requested the following collection accounts ( via certified mailing ) to be investigated as being 100 % accurate and I am willing to pay the debt in full if verified. These collection accounts have not been verified to date and it has now been well over 45 days since my original request. Here is a copy of the certified letter mailed to these creditors for validation of these debts. I am still awaiting these requests and am demanding that these accounts be removed from my credit report ASAP. I have tried multiple times to get the requested information below : List of creditors who recieved certifed letters for my request and has not obliged as of XX/XX/2023 -AMEX XXXX CITIBANK XXXX account # partially listed on credit report as XXXX To whom this may concern, Your company said, I allegedly owe you money. I am willing to Pay under the conditions that you are able to provide : 1 : validation of the debt- - that is, the actual accounting. 2 : verification of a signed invoice. 3 : a copy of the contract binding both parties ( you and I ), and a letter by certified mail so that there is an independent witness as to it being delivered. Kind regards, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, Pa XXXX

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Consumer Complaint: My Citi Bank credit card was charged XX/XX/XXXX several transcations in XXXX Colorado by people unknown to be. The charges were as follows : XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX CO XX/XX/2023 ; Disputed on XX/XX/2023 {$110.00} XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX CO XX/XX/2023 Disputed on XX/XX/2023 {$210.00} XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX CO XX/XX/2023 Disputed on XX/XX/2023 {$210.00} XXXX XXXX XXXX CO XX/XX/2023 Disputed on XX/XX/2023 {$220.00} XXXX. XX/XX/2023 XXXX XXXX XXXX CO XX/XX/2023 Disputed on XX/XX/2023 {$330.00} XX/XX/2023 When I noticed the fradulent charges, I locked my card and informed Citibank immediately. Citibank then send me documents to fill out and indicate whether I had been in Colorado or whether I had authorized people to use my card. I wrote that I was never in XXXX nor had authorized anyone to use my credit card. Citibank then investigated further by contacting the merchant who wrote that the authorized signer is known by the cardholder ( i.e. myself ) and that the signer is a member of the cardholders household ( i.e. my household ) both of which are not true. Solely based on that information provided by the merchant Citi Bank concluded that the merchant 's statement was true and mine a lie and put all the charges back on my credit card. I am appaled that Citi Bank is using such a flawed process to determine whether I am responsible for the fradulent charges. I can prove that I was never in XXXX Colorado during that time as I was working where I reside, far away from Colorado, and that I do not know these people. How would the merchant be abla to say that the people who used my card are known to me or part of my family? Instead of making a decision on real eveidence, Citi Bank arbitrarley makas a decision by solely relying on the merchants statements.

Subissue: Problem with balance transfer
Consumer Complaint: Circumstances led me to take advantage of Citi.com 's balance transfer promotions with the Citi Black Diamond card in XXXX and early XXXX. Three ( from XXXX ) were 0 % promotions, and one ( XXXX XXXX ) was a 1.99 % promotion. Of the four different promotion expiration dates, one was XXXX and another was XXXX, I paid {$1600.00} on XX/XX/XXXX to take care of the XXXX balance ( {$460.00} ) and part of the XXXX balance ( {$6200.00} ). I expected that the {$460.00} would be indicated as paid, and the {$6200.00} balance would be down to just over {$5000.00}, and my intention was to pay that off yesteray. When speaking with a Citi Rep for a very long time I learned : -The {$1600.00} XXXX paid DID NOT GO TOWARDS the {$6200.00} balance NOR DID IT PAY OFF THE {$460.00} balance. -The {$1600.00} went towards PART OF the balance due XXXX, and PART of the {$460.00}. XXXX was stunned and confused, and the rep said " that is the way it works '' in other words, they arbitrarily decide which individual " loan '' will be paid off so that the consumer will be forced to pay penalties ( I now owe a penalty for not paying the full {$460.00} amount on XX/XX/XXXX, EVEN THOUGH I PAID ON TIME and I was not told specifically what that penalty will be. -This is truly astounding. XXXX unexpectedly have to pay off ALL of the debt NOW or face major penalties on the larger {$6200.00} balance and will still be paying a penalty for the partial XXXX payment, when I was planning on paying MOST OF IT yesterday, and the remaining balance before XX/XX/XXXX when it was due. XXXX has added {$2500.00} to what I need to pay now and I will STILL BE CHARGED A PENALTY for not paying on time. XXXX asked the rep if they could take the {$1600.00} XXXX paid and allocate it towards the {$460.00} and the {$6200.00} balances and he was gone a very long time and said " no '' and frankly the tone was as if I was a criminal. -I have made every payment on time, have an excellent credit store and this was, again, stunning. Does this make sense? Is this legal? I just wonder if others have had this kind of " Twilight Zone '' experience. I really do not want them to be able to slide by with this kind of treatment.

Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Banking errors
Consumer Complaint: I have been trying to resolve an issue with my checking account, for unauthorized cash withdrawals that resulted in {$520.00} being withdrawn & debited from my account on XX/XX/2022. I have called & written my bank several times, with no resolution except a standard response " We've conducted our investigation using the information that you provided about the dispute. With the information we had, it was'nt enough to support your claim and resolve the dispute in your favor. Please contact the merchant directly if you wish to pursue this matter further '' This is a bogus & ridiculous response, because there is no merchant involved except my bank that processed the unauthorized cash withdrawals, & charged the extra fees for the withdrawals. I have called and written for over six months now attempting to resolve this very stressful matter.

Issue: Opening an account
Subissue: Didn't receive terms that were advertised
Consumer Complaint: I am writing to lodge a complaint against Citibank for not honoring their advertised cash rewards for opening a new account. In XXXX of XXXX, I opened a new account with Citibank after seeing their ad that promised a cash reward for new account holders ( I have a screenshot to prove this ). I made the necessary deposit on XX/XX/XXXX and was supposed to receive a cash bonus of {$450.00} from Citibank. On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted a Citibank customer service representative to inquire about the cash reward, and the representative assured me that the reward would be credited to my account by XX/XX/XXXX ( I have a screenshot to prove this ). However, despite meeting all the requirements stated in their offer, as of today, XX/XX/XXXX, I have still not received the cash bonus, and based on my chat with another Citibank representative, it appears that Citibank has refused to give me the cash reward. I have made several attempts to resolve this issue with Citibank, but they have been unresponsive and uncooperative. Their customer service representatives have given me conflicting information and have not provided me with a satisfactory resolution. I strongly believe that Citibank 's refusal to honor their advertised cash rewards is deceitful and dishonest, and I am requesting that you investigate this matter and take appropriate action against them. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
