Consumer Complaint: I reviewed a copy of my credit report and CITI Cards/CITIBANK ran an unauthorized credit inquiry on me on XX/XX/2021 I never authorized such action and this constitutes a violation of my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act 604 as well as a violation of my rights to privacy. Please contact CITI Cards/CITIBANK and investigate such occurrence. I am requesting an updated copy of my credit report, which should be sent to the address listed below. According to the provisions of 612 [ 15 USC 1681j ], there should be no charge for this report. In addition, as part of your investigation, please send the names, business address and phone numbers of those who made unauthorized credit inquiries so I may contact them directly.

Consumer Complaint: I am filing this claim with the CFPB to recoup all of my money spent on XXXX XXXX products. My wife and I were walking from our room to the beach when we saw the storefront. XXXX XXXX, the store salesman and our dedicated sales rep after purchase, asked whether I wanted a XXXX XXXX. I said yes, then our small talk led to us being convinced to go into the store for a free XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX free trial use of their XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX The solution in the store worked well, so we showed interest, and we were then given a free trial use of their XXXX XXXX which was supposed to remove lines on your face. Both products seemed to show noticeable differences on our faces so we purchase the XXXX XXXX XXXX and ( because of the large amount of money spent ) we were given a number of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Furthermore, we were given an entire replenishment set of all the XXXX for when we ran out. All product had to be shipped to us in California ( from Hawaii ) because : 1 ) They didn't have all of the product, and 2 ) My wife and I travelled with carry-ons, so we didn't have room in our suitcases. We arrived back home, received the product, and realized there was missing product, so we contacted XXXX XXXX, and he told us he would ship the missing product to us. By 'contacted ' I am referring to text conversations between my wife and him. Weeks went by and the correct products never showed up. On top of that, we quickly realized the product we did have didn't work anything like what was used in their store in XXXX. Upon this realization, we tried to find any details on XXXX that would allow us to return the product for a full refund. After reaching out to XXXX, the messages between him and my wife started turning green ( rather than blue, as occurs when messages are being sent and received between XXXX XXXX ). As a result, we called him and the store in XXXX and got ahold of the store. They told us over the phone and in email that they would forward our concern to XXXX, but we never heard back from anyone. At this point, I was no longer able to get ahold of the store in XXXX and XXXX was nowhere to be found ( still ). I started searching online for some details about XXXX, most importantly their customer service contact phone #. Until a few months ago, however, their website was extremely unprofessional and the only means for reaching out to them was through their online portal. They failed to include a company address and phone # at the time. No one ever called/emailed us back, so I filed the claim with Citibank. Citibank kept our correspondence/filed claim spinning in circles by focusing on details of my initial claim that were irrelevant. For example, they requested a checklist of product ordered versus product received, so I provided the checklist, yet it was irrelevant because we were trying to ship ALL the product back to XXXX since late XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. Some time between XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX, XXXX polished their website so that the company looked legitimate. They even included a contact phone #. When I realized this, I immediately contacted the phone # and left a voicemail. I did this 3+ times in XXXX and I have yet to receive a call back. So, after being denied by Citi 3+ times over the course of the past ~1 year, I am now emailing you for some assistance. The supporting evidence I've provided Citi is very detailed, so ( again ) I am filing this claim with the CFPB to ultimately recoup my money. I've supplied ample evidence supporting my case, but Citi continues to deny the charges as fraudulent or recoupable.

Consumer Complaint: This Company advertises its credit products and solicits applications to consumers then makes it near impossible to actually use the card. After spending 3 weeks and over 15 hours on the phone trying to get them to remove fraud blocks on a brand new card just received in the mail and verifying everything except XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, I was finally able to actually use the card for the first time. My current issue is now that I have reached my credit limit, I made a payment to pay my entire statement balance on XX/XX/XXXX, almost 10 days before the bill was due, via my own ACH checking account. So that I can continue to use the card. It's now 6 days later and while Citi shows my payment was accepted and credited to the account, they will not release the available balance and allow me to continue to use my card. In contacting customer service they told me that my payment has to go through a 2 week Fraud review to ensure the payment is not fraud and I can not use my card until this clears. So I spent 3 weeks with a bunch of stupid fraud blocks from the first day I received the card. Now I submit a payment to pay my charges and you block my card again for fraud review. How the heck is a consumer ( in this case a business with a business card ) expected to use the card you advertised and solicited for business purposes when they won't even allow you to use the card as intended. This is the WORST Credit Card merchant ever. I've never in my life had this much trouble with a credit card and I have perfect credit score.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022, a family member requested a balance transfer of {$8000.00} through her bank XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) to be paid on my account. Because the check came on my family member 's name and the account on the check had some digits 'X'ed, Citi Bank couldn't identify the account to apply the payment to, so they sent my family member a letter ( after cashing the check ) asking for the account # to apply the payment to. After faxing the form Citi Bank 's Payment Investigations department sent us several times and calling their customer service several times as well and being promised of follow ups, nothing has really been resolved. Citi Bank is XXXX illegally banking on some money that is not theirs, they're not either retuning the money back to original sender or applying the payment on the account we wrote on the form they provided us.

I have obtained the assistance of XXXX XXXX towards financial recovery in recompense amount of {$62000.00} ( XXXX ) or {$75000.00} ( XXXX ) from original investment of {$17000.00} ( as of XX/XX/XXXX ). The company guaranteed refund of {$6200.00} if I do not at least receive this return amount, certificate evidence is attached with this complaint and other historical documents to support this claim. A copy of the check from XXXX personal account is also included as an image attachment. The amounts are calculated based on balance of account + {$6900.00} using 20 % interest had the funds been invested appropriately, 9 years later with respective amounts in the aforementioned. {$62000.00} ( XXXX ) or {$75000.00} ( XXXX ), 20 % annual interest added to ending balance, over 9 years should this claim go beyond 9 years. We have made escalation attempts to reach XXXX XXXX XXXX and Ombudsman from SEC with little to no success. XXXX was unable to provide any assistance as to how or if we can contact XXXX. Our search proved only the disappearance or lack of any existence to XXXX. This proves they fraudulently scammed many others like me and disappeared. or created another company under another disguise and we have no recourse to recover our hard earned money. Respectfully, I simply request recovery of my investments and the amount I am entitled to receiving from such an investment.

Consumer Complaint: This claim I have against Citi is 2-fold : 1. An unauthorized {$2600.00} balance transfer in XX/XX/XXXX 2. An unauthorized 2nd Citi account opened in my name. I dont know if this was in anyway connected to said transfer above, but I closed it immediately when I found out about it. Recently I was told : Its the same account but the numbers were changed like they often do. Card numbers changed? Ive never heard of such absurdity. In XXXX XXXX XXXX, I took advantage of a Citi Diamond Preferred Card balance transfer offer of 0 % for 16 months. This was better than most that only offer 12 months. My record of using 0 % credit card over the years, exclusively for balance transfers, is extensive and goes way back. All shown on my credit report. I called Citi in XX/XX/XXXX to check my balance, as the 0 % deal was up the month prior and I planned to move said balance over to a XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX 0 % card, which I did. I figured the balance to be around {$2500.00}. Much to my unwelcome surprise, I was told the balance was {$5200.00}. I then found that on XX/XX/XXXX, when my 0 % interest was up, {$2600.00} was added to my account and deposited in my business account. I did not want, need or authorize this transaction. The fact that I only paid on this card for said 16 months of 0 % and didnt add to it, like I do, it would be quite stupid and completely unlike me w/ my history to add {$2600.00} to an account that just started charging a 21.74 % interest rate. Why would I do this and then move it to a 0 % XXXX card when I could have done it then IF I needed it? Which I didnt. This is federal issue, and they need to pay for it. Especially with how theyve blown me off, hanging up on me. Sending letters saying that after their research theyve concluded theres no issue. Oh yeah? Ive asked several times for Citi to produce a phone call, a letter, an email, ANYTHING with me giving authorization for this bogus transaction or opening a 2nd account. It never comes because it doesnt exist. This messed me up badly for a time. Due to XXXX, I had to cut back on expenses, bookkeeping for one, so much of the accounting was not being done. XXXX has accounts that pay at different times of the month. When I checked my XXXX XXXX business account in the latter part of XXXX to see if there was enough to cover my 2nd payroll ( I pay my agents twice a month on the XXXX and XXXX ) I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was a good bit more than I expected. I was thrilled that my business, barely breaking even months before, had grown and was doing better than I thought. I shared the news w/ my partner. We could actually double our loan payment. Then the following month the extra money was not there and my 2nd payroll bounced. I had to scramble to cover it w/ my home equity loan. I fully intend on pursuing this.
