Consumer Complaint: I had a technical issue with the citi.com website that prevented me from being able to make a payment on time in XX/XX/XXXX. It happened again in XXXX, and I was charged a late fee. When I complained I was told I had been given a break in XXXX, and thus the late fee couldn't be forgiven. I argued that no way should I be held liable for a late fee when it was their website that was the issues, and I sent screenshots to prove it. I escalated the issue, got nowhere, so I found the CEO of Citi 's email and emailed her. ( XXXX XXXX ). Within a day her executive response team reached out, I explained the issue and the late fees were credited back to me. A few weeks later I lost my card, and when I called to have a new one sent I was told that was impossible as my account was being closed by Citi. They claimed it was due to a periodic review of creditworthiness. Now, interestingly, from the time I opened the account I had bought a {$260000.00} house, changed jobs to where I am making 3 times more since opening the account, and my credit score had climbed quite a large bit. I complained to XXXX again, and was told tough, go away, though I am still convinced it was retribution. When pressed for when and how I'd be notified of the official end of the account, I was told I'd be sent a letter. As of today, no letter has been sent. XX/XX/XXXX. I just checked my credit report and it states my Citi card was closed on XX/XX/XXXX by the grantor. However, this entire time my online portal shows it is active and I have available credit .... Today I called Citi, and suddenly they said they could reactivate my account with no issues. Supposedly a new card will be sent to me within a few business days.

Consumer Complaint: I was about to check out an online order with home depot, when noted the promotion of saving of XXXX off XXXX if you open a new homeDepot Credit card today ( see attached screen shot ). For whatever reason I clicked apply and got approved. However I quickly found out there is no way I can charge my purchase today to the card and get the rewards. After calling customer service they suggested me to go to a local store, and so I went there. Those nice people working there tried all they can, and it won't work. So turns out in this condition : online order and item not in store will have to wait out like 10 days. Which is not what their advertising want you to believe, when I was about to check out online. For me as I need the purchase ASAP, I meaninglessly giving out my Information and wasted my time

Consumer Complaint: I am Macy 's platinum customer for years and buy frequently online.. I recently purchased a diamond pendant online after it came on sale for more than {$3600.00}. The package arrived with seal partially broken.When I opened the box the jewelry was missing. I reported to XXXX right away and they asked me if I would like a refund or replacement after some investigation. They also promised to call with in 48 hours. Subsequently I called them every 48 hours but I was not getting any straight answer. Everytime I called they promised to call back but never did.. Finally they decided that the item was delivered and kept the charge on my XXXX credit card. I have emailed them several times but there response is the same, copy paste type... Now getting calls to make the minimum payment. I had also reported to XXXX about the missing merchandise. The tracking shows the delay twice at XXXX. The item could have been lost at any location. The item was not sent insured or signature required at time of delivery. Macys should have taken extra precautions when sending the valuable item..Now they are dropping on me to pay for something that I never received. I hold excellent credit score of more than XXXX because I am very responsible citizen. I would highly appreciate your assistance in this matter

Consumer Complaint: I discovered my account was frozen on Tuesday XX/XX/XXXX. Debits were stopped but deposits were allowed to continue. I got on the online chat, they told me to call the fraud dept and that is when I was informed. I called a local branch for help, he called the fraud dept with me and still no luck. I went to work because I am a XXXX and single person who needed money because it was all just taken from me with no real answers. When I finished my morning clients I walked to the closest branch and a nice gentleman tried called around and still nothing. No answers, no check, no date as to when I will get my check. My work rent is due tomorrow and my apartment rent is due Saturday. I truly dont know what happened, all I get are vague words about XXXX however the account that im told is the issue doesn't receive my XXXX payments. Generally I dont receive that many XXXX payments. I am truly stunned and the branch workers were also shocked. I dont know what to do. I can't wait 30-60 days, I could lose my business, livelihood, and my apartment.

Consumer Complaint: Best Buy credit card by Citi bank. This is your demand letter. I demand you send me a confirmation of debt. Let me refresh your memory a legal definition of confirmation of debt is only the wet signatures. You sent me a incomplete bill statement. You said the debt was confirmed. I demand you tell me the name of the person, title, email address, mailing address, fax number, telephone number with extension if applicable, and how they confirmed it. You still have not answered my questions. If you can not provide the correct information not sending everything else to me you must discharge it. Here is a case number XXXX also known as the credit river decision. This case was about a man names XXXX XXXX who said the bank does not own his house because the money was created out of thin air with his signature. Also you need to show me the valid contract with two wet signatures. Can you provide this to me. I, :XXXX XXXX XXXX , Authorized Representative, am sending the coupon of the account summary to Citi bank as full payment of what you say I owe. I have recently learned that a coupon is a way of paying according to ucc 3-104. I noticed that you have sent me these coupons and asked me to remit them with another check or money order and then you redeemed both. That is double dipping and illegal. I am potentially willing to overlook this crime as long as you accept this legal form of payment, so I am sending the payment coupon to be accepted as payment per ucc 3-603 ( B ). If tender of payment of obligation to pay an instrument is made to a person entitled to enforce the instrument and tender is refused, there is discharge to the extent of the payment of the obligation of an endorser Or accommodation having a right of recourse with respect to the obligation to which the tender relates. If you reject the payment coupon or claim to have shred it, I still expect you to follow the law and discharge the debt. From XXXX case the bank can not be saved again.We just proved the bank never had any physical cash trade hands at all. The bank will file our own funds and write check or credit back to us on morgages, credit cards etc.This created a illusion that banks gave us a loan from their assets. Do banks pay taxes on loans or credit cards. No. This proves the bank was not the owner of the properties of houses or same for credit cards. Why do you ask us for our social security number? You claim to Id us. No. Thats a lie. So you can access our cestique act trust of 1666 also known as birth certificate a bond. Also asking for a social security number is illegal because we have no lawful money. You need to zero out this account : I will file a 3949A form- to report alleged tax law violations by person or business Have you audited by Irs Place a lien against your ceo surety bond Used freedom of information act. Just recieved it. Will report all of your crimes to better business bureau explained so any person can understand it. Your dead line is XX/XX/2023. Wait XXXX XXXX also coming. Consumer Complaint: I joined CostcoXX/XX/XXXX 38 years ago. I have retired and have no further interest in Costco membership where I purchased business supplies. I cancelled membership XX/XX/XXXX and received confirmation. They us Cit Bank Visa. I received E mail that my Visa card ( Costco ) had a balance of {$60.00} which annual dues. I have never authrorized Citi Bank to put my dues on thei credit card. I can prove and have cancelled check where I paid Costco dues with my Company check and have always paid by check yer Cit Bank is doing automatic deduction of my dues ( never gave them permission ) to put dues on credit card now they want too charge me a late fee for due in Costco that I cancelled membership in. I have called Costco and Citi bank and they are no helping us. I am due a refund for paying double dues in XXXX and no balance or late charge in XXXX. It will take you to get this straight I tried and could not make either understand. I need check form them Company account closed XXXX Credit card cancelled. Please help.

Consumer Complaint: I had my Citi bank double cash card recently closed by Citi bank. I had the card since XXXX. My payment history is 100 % perfect since opening the card. My card expires XX/XX/XXXX. Citi Bank then sends me an email in XXXX stating stating they received my request and decided to close my account. I called Citi Bank and they said that the credit bureau closed my account not them, I told them that was not possible. I thought at this point my identity as been stolen, but why would a scammer close my account, that doesn't make sense but since the Citi representative said they didn't close my account the credit bureau did I decided to find out what's going on. I called the credit bureau and they said Citi Bank closed the account per their request. So now I disputed my account closure with the bank to the credit reporting bureau XXXX. I get a letter in the mail from XXXX stating that the bank in fact closed my account. So I called Back Citi bank and asked them why they closed my account, they said because I had a Delinquency with XXXX XXXX they have decided not to renew my Citi double cash card. Then on top of that, they made a lie saying that I called in XXXX, claiming that I would like to have my account open. ( I never called in match because I wasn't aware that account was being closed, I have attached that letter today as I found it today, through the Citi bank app ) Meanwhile, my account was never closed in XXXX, It was closed in XXXX, they disregarded using my pristine payments with the bank since XXXX and choose to close my credit card with the longest credit history because of a closed account with XXXX XXXX closed my account and then reported a 30-day late payment. How can you close an account and then report 30-day late payments? The account is closed.

Consumer Complaint: Over the past month I have received 3 promotional offers via email from CitiBank. Each offer appears to be offered to me because I already have a Citibank credit card, since each offer starts with something like valued Citi Custom Cash Card cardmembers like you deserve the great benefits I have already opened a XXXX Invest account and a Checking Account promotional offer and confirmed with Citibank I am enrolled in both promotional bonus offers. On XX/XX/23 I received a promotional offer to open a Citibank Saving account and receive a bonus if the terms were met. I read through the terms both within the email and on the accompanying website. I could find nothing in either excluding me from participating in both the Checking and Saving account promotion at the same time. XX/XX/23 XXXX ( XXXX ) ( 20 mins ) I called Citibank customer service which reviewed and confirmed according to the terms and conditions of both the Checking and Citi Savings I am eligible for both offers at the same time. On XX/XX/23 I opened the checking account and the XXXX invest account on XX/XX/23. On XX/XX/23 XXXX ( XXXX ) ( 13 mins ) I called to open the savings account over the phone as I noticed the online application wanted me to create separate online login information. The representative told me opening it over the phone would allow me to have the savings account linked to my other accounts. I gave her the promotional offer code and she looked it up without issue. She asked for my checking account number which I provided, she stated the system shows I opened the checking account on XX/XX/23 because I opened it on a weekend. There was no discussion of any issues using the code to open the savings account. As I talked with her I decided to wait a day to open the savings account. On XX/XX/23 XXXX ( XXXX ) ( 29 mins ) I called back to open the savings account. I provided the promo code and after reviewing the terms the representative told me I wasnt eligible because the terms state the promotion excluded customers with a deposit account and the checking account I just opened is considered a deposit account. I stated I did not find the words deposit account anywhere in terms within the email or webpage I received. I then asked to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor then went through the terms of the promo offer and could not find anything excluding me or mentioned anything about a deposit account. She especially reviewed the section about multiple offers but concluded that only applied to multiple savings account offers. I asked her directly So, does this mean I can apply for this offer? She asked, yes she could not find anything that would prevent me. I then asked to open it. She transferred me to another representative to do that. This rep then told me this offer was only available to be opened online or in a branch. I told her the email specifically states, You can also visit your local branch or call XXXX, ext. XXXX and mention offer code XXXX. Her only response was 'I can only open a savings account without the promotion attached '. I then ended the call to open it online. I got an error message preventing me from continuing with the application online. At XXXX XX/XX/23 ( 13 mins ) I called back and after providing the code was again told my deposit account account excluded me. After arguing back and forth I asked for a supervisor and was told As personal bankers, we dont have supervisors. I told her I was just speaking with a supervisor after disagreeing with another personal banker. She then agreed to transfer me to customer service supervisor. The call got disconnected. At XXXX XX/XX/23 ( 24 mins ) I called back and briefly described the situation and asked for a supervisor. The supervisor agreed with the personal bankers stating that having a 'deposit account ' ( checking account ) excludes me from the promo. When I stated the terms in the email and on the website for the Bonus promotion do not have 'Deposit Account ' wording at all she made me wait on hold again and then returned to say I must have received the email in error and there was nothing she could do unless I closed my checking account. I have thoroughly reviewed both the savings account promotional email and website terms and conditions multiple times over the past month and can find no mention of deposit account or anything specifically stating having a Citibank checking account excludes me from this offer. I have used promotional offers in the past and I know how important it is to carefully read and follow the terms of the offer to acquire any promotional bonus. I have never encountered a situation like this where a bank provides one set of terms and conditions to its customers and then a separate set of terms and conditions to its bankers who are supposed to be assisting those customers. This makes the bank seem untrustworthy and makes it difficult for customers to interact with the bank or for the bankers to accurately advise their customers.

Consumer Complaint: U.S. Code $ 1681c-2 a consumer reporting agency shall block the reporting of any information in the file of a consumer that the consumer identifies as information that resulted from an alleged identity theft, not later than 4 business days after the date of receipt. It has been 30 days and you are in VIOLATION of this law because I am a victim of identity theft!! Please delete these items IMMEDIATELY! These accounts should not be furnished on my consumer report as they are in VIOLATION!!! Under, 15 U.S Code 1681b - Permissible purposes of consumer reports ( a ) IN GENERAL Subject to subsection ( c ) any consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report under the following circumstances and no other : ( 2 ) In accordance with the WRITTEN INSTRUCTION of the consumer to whom it relates. I NEVER gave any consumer reporting agency WRITTEN CONSENT to report anything on my consumer report which violates my rights as a federal protected consumer. NO CONSENT IS IDENTITY THEFT.
