Consumer Complaint: I have had a home depot card through citibank and they have closed my account with no fault of my own no balance and the reason they did is not true and do not know where they come up with there fictitious reasons this is the second time they have done this and have no regards to someones credit and how they expect us to have good credit when they first give you a credit limit of XXXX and then XXXX and then today the said they closed my account have never missed a payment and said there was something on my credit that is not true my accounts are all current and there has been no late payments and have not to them at all this is the second card they have done this too me do they ever think how this hurts the home depot which has been having problems can understand why i mean what kind of people are they giving credit too i think this is unfair without them investigating most things are wrong on your credit reports anyhow which is unfair to us i mean first of all we get a ding for applying for one and then lower your credit limit and then that is another ding and then close it that is a major ding im so tired of these companies getting away with hurting our credit when we pay our bills and work very hard to do so XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022 I attempted to purchase a XXXX worth {$16000.00} at a XXXX authorized dealer XXXX. While checking out, the XXXX monitor stated that it could only approve {$10000.00}, in that very moment we voided the transaction in which I was issued a receipt for. Soon after I called my bank ( Citi Bank ) because somehow the funds were still drawn without my approval, while at the store I called the bank and was told I would have to file a claim ( which is one of many claims and appeals I've filed with this bank ) and submit the voided receipt in order to get this sorted out. Despite providing to the bank all the documents they required in order to resolve this problem, which they stated in writing and over the phone they still deny my appeals and claims. Instead they have told me to take it up with the merchant, so I did and they say that their accounting department can not do anything because funds were never received on their end. I have paper trails of communication between the bank, myself, and the merchant. The bank is clearly withholding {$10000.00} that belong to me which have set me back substantially, they show little to no regard and fail to explain where my money is show no effort to help. The merchant has diligently tried to offer as much help as possible but Citi Bank fails to comply.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I noticed XXXX charges on our Citibank credit card that we did not make at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. First charge was on XX/XX/XXXX for {$280.00} and second charge was on XX/XX/XXXX for {$1100.00}. I reported the fraud to Citibank on XX/XX/XXXX. We received a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX that the investigation was complete and that they did not find evidence of fraud. I called Citibank on XX/XX/XXXX and asked that the dispute be re-opened because we did not make these transactions. I wrote a letter to Citibank on XX/XX/XXXX detailing why this investigation should be re-opened. On XX/XX/XXXX, we received a message from Citibank stating they were looking into the dispute. Citibank also stated that we did not have to pay the disputed transactions or related charges during the investigation process. On XX/XX/XXXX, we received an email from Citibank stating that they had received additional information and had re-opened the fraud dispute and that we would either receive credit if deemed fraud or would receive a letter regarding the investigation. As of XXXX we had received neither. I wrote another letter on XX/XX/XXXX and mailed it certified with return receipt. They received the letter on XX/XX/XXXX. No response, so I called Citibank today, XX/XX/XXXX and was told the investigation was closed and no credit would be issued. All documents and correspondence is attached. Please help us with restitution as we did not make these transactions. We have been Citibank cardholders since XXXX and have an excellent payment record with them. We pay our obligations in full each month and their denial that fraud was perpetrated against us is frustrating.

Consumer Complaint: Formal Complaint - Citi Credit Card 's Failure to Protect Consumers and Unresolved Charges Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to file a formal complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency concerning an ongoing issue with my Citi credit card and unauthorized charges made to XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX XXXX in the amounts of {$1700.00} and {$1100.00}, respectively. Despite my numerous complaints and substantial evidence proving that XXXX XXXX did not complete the promised repairs nor resolve the issue at hand, Citi Bank has failed to protect its consumers from unwarranted charges. The primary concern was a malfunction in my car 's air conditioning system, which persisted even after the services were supposedly rendered. Consumer Complaint: My sister and I purchased som skin care products on a trip. My purchase would not got go through so the retailer said he would put my purchase on my sisters card. I dont remember signing anything for another purchase, I was charged for the product and my sister was charged for two. We later realized we got to purchased and paid for 3. My XXXX card has opened a dispute about 5 times and they give me reason to close the dispute because I didnt give them any information the next letter would say I didnt get the information to the on time. I was suppose to get and update after 73 hours but never did. This happened XXXX. This is now the third time I submitted a complaint through the CFPB regarding Citi and in both instances they claim they can not identify me in their response to the CFPB ( and therefore not submitting their response to the CFBP for review ) while simultaneously providing a response to me ( because they clearly were able to identify me because I submitted all the necessary information for them to be able to identify me ). This is clearly what Citi does intentionally to avoid the CFPB from reviewing Citi 's actions and failures regarding complaints and Citi must be held accountable for their shenanigans. Citi still has not resolved the issue and returned the {$400.00} to me for a charge that was not authorized by me. They must make this right.
