Consumer Complaint: I made a payment of {$6800.00} on XX/XX/2023 to my Citi card, with the intent of the payment going to a balance transfer with stated promotional rate ( .99 % ) expired on XX/XX/2023 then reverting to the standard rate of 26.99 %. The payment was applied to balances with a promotional rate with no expiration of 0-5.99 %, instead of the balance where the promotional rate expired on XX/XX/2023. I contacted the Citi and they stated that the statement has not processed and the payment would have been applied to the higher rate after the statement period end even though the statement states the promotional rate had expired on XX/XX/2023 and there was no way to apply the payment to the higher interest rate balance.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased concert tickets via XXXX in XX/XX/2023, which were then canceled before the concert. In the cancellation email XXXX sent me, I was informed that the Bank ( Citi Bank ) would refund me. After months of communication ( via disputes ), Citi Bank ultimately said they could not refund me. I've also contacted XXXX during this period, but they repeatedly said that Citi Bank should be the party to refund me and there was nothing they could do. Several disputes were established during my communication with Citi Bank, but all were returned as unsuccessful. Some agents even cited that I was late in providing documentation, but they were all proven to be incorrect. One of the managers I spoke with from Citi Bank said that some missteps by Citi Bank definitely affected the results of the dispute but could not assist further. I also need clarification on why this was not simply refunded to my account and I even had to go through disputes in the first place. When the vendor canceled the tickets, the total should have been refunded directly.

Consumer Complaint: Back in XX/XX/ someone opened a Macy 's Citi card and charged just over {$500.00} on it. I never opened this card, nor did I give anyone permission to open a card in my name. I called their fraud department, they said they marked it as fraudulent right away and I shouldn't worry about it. Three months later my credit score gets dinged and I see they filed a no payment against me. I called back in and they person I spoke with said they see where it was caught as fraud right away, but the person flagging it did so incorrectly, so they claim to have corrected this, but I just received another call XX/XX/ claiming I still owe this money. I am beyond over dealing with this shady company, nor should I have to as I have never done business with them in the first place. I don't know what else to do other than file a complaint before they ding my credit once again.

Consumer Complaint: I was out of town from XX/XX/2023 I was XXXX XXXX. During that time, my card was being used in XXXX XXXX/ Multiple transactions were made on my credit card. I notified Citibank immediatel when I discovered the fraudulent charges. Citibank is saying that they were made with the physical card and can't credit me back for the charges. ( which total around XXXX ) I then send them vial email my flight itinerary and purchases I made in XXXX showing them I was out of town and couldn't possibly make these charges. They credited me back for one of the charges..only totaling {$8.00} made at XXXX 's in XXXX XXXX during the week I was out of town. When I asked them why I was credited back and not for the other purchases ... they had no response. Additionally, these are places or places that I haven't been to or haven been in years. I then asked them to compare my signature with the ones made with these purchases ... they would not provide. I have proved proof that I wasn't even in town, yet they can't give me a valid reason for my claims being denied.

I forgot to endorse the check on the back and deposited it via mobile deposit. I then received a email saying my check was on hold.I tried to log in and my log in no longer works and my accounts cant be loaded. I called citi bank that morning and was told that because it was from my old corporation XXXX XXXX XXXX and didnt endorse the back they decided to close our checking and savings account. They stated nothing could be done and that they will mail my funds in XXXX days. Ive had multiple calls since then and every time they tell me something different. Sometimes they say my funds will be mailed in 5-7 days, last time they said they would hold it for up to 1 year, and today they tell me its 30-60 days. Im absolutely sick to my stomach with the lack of communication on citi banks end. Not a single staff member I spoke with was able to explain whats going on. It seems as though they are all confused and make me wait while they see whats going on. I received no call or notice and nothing in the mail as of today XX/XX/XXXX and neither has my wife. This was a joint account. I was laid off this last week and my funds are still held. I can not believe they get to operate like this. The lack of communication within the company, their communication with me and every single thing about this bank is horrible.

On XX/XX/, at XXXXXXXX XXXX., 30 minutes after depositing the cashier check in the amount of {$7500.00} into my Citibank Checking Account, I tried to access my online banking account with Citibank, and the account was blocked, and reflected the message [ sic ] contact Citibank at 1 ( XXXX ) XXXX, because there has an issue with one or more of your accounts that has not been resolved. 3. On XX/XX/, at approximately XXXXXXXX XXXX, I called Citibank at XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX, and spoke to a Citibank Representative who then stated that the reason my Citibank Chekcing Account was blocked, was because [ sic ] you XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX has deposited a fraudulent check in the amount of {$7500.00} into your CitiBank Checking account, and we Citibank, has reported you to our Citibank Fraud Department for investigation, and you, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX must immediately call our Citibank Fraud Department, because you are under criminal investigation, because you wrote and deposited a fraudulent check into your Citibank Checking Account, and your Citibank checking account has been closed, and the deposited funds of {$7500.00}, has been reversed back to Citibank. You must call Citibank Fraud Department immediate, at XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX, and select option XXXX 4. On XX/XX/, at approximately XXXX XXXX., I called Citibank Fraud Department, and a representative said that you [ sic ] XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX has been reported to us by Citibank to have deposited a fraudulent check, in the amount of {$7500.00}, into your Citibank Checking Account, on XX/XX/, and for that reason, you are under criminal investigation, your account has been closed, and the deposited funds in the amount of {$7500.00}, from the cashier check you deposited into your checking account, has been reversed back to Citibank N.A. , and you are under criminal investigation by our Fraud Department ; Therefore, you shall not receive any funds from the check you deposited in the amount of {$7500.00}, on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX 5. I then replied that I did not make a fraudulent check, and then deposit it into my Citibank Checking account. I said that someone else relinquished the check to me on payment due regarding a business matter with their firm. Citibank Fraud Department then replied, [ sic ] what is the name, and contract information of the person who gave you the check in the amount of {$7500.00}, in which you deposited into your Citibank Checking Account. I said the person who gave me the check for payment on a business matter is XXXX XXXX. Citibank Fraud Department then said that it needed to contact Citibank and let them know that XXXX XXXX is the person who made, and then gave me the fraudulent check that I deposited into my Citibank Checking Account for {$7500.00}. 6. On XX/XX/, at XXXXXXXX XXXX., I called Citibank Fraud Department, to follow up on the fraud investigation, and was informed that Citibank instructed the Fraud Department to call XXXX XXXX, to inform XXXX XXXX, that she gave XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX a fraudulent check in the amount of {$7500.00}, that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX tried to deposit into her Citibank Checking Account. 7. XX/XX/, I have not heard back from Citibank, or Citibank Fraud Department, and my deposited fund in the amount of {$7500.00} has reversed back to Citibank, Im under investigation for fraud, and my Citibank Checking Account has been and deactivated. 8. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX from Citibank Executive Officer Called, to acknowledge the receipt of the Notice of Lawsuit, and to say that Citibank stands by its decision to have accused me, ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX of writing and depositing a fraudulent check into my Citibank Checking Account. XXXX then stated that because of my race, and the amount of the check is what set off the fraud alert. 9.
