Consumer Complaint: I opened a savings account with automatic withdrawal from my bank into this account for my grand daughter. After a few months I noticed that even though Capital one debited my account on the date ( XXXX of each month ), it took them 5-7 days on the average to deposit the money into the account and make available to make interest. Capital One is using this delay tactic to not pay interest on ligitimate deposits by making them unavailable. It shows in the account but not available, for which there is no reason except screwing customers out of paying interest. May not be much in one account but if you combine all the accounts, they are not paying interest on XXXX if not XXXX of dollars. I called the bank and spoke to a rep who told me that is normal operating procedure and then he gave me the good news that in my case it was actually only taking them 4 days most of the time to make the money available, which was not true. It has been taking a minimum of 5 days and maximum of 7 days. I transferred all the money back to my account and they said transaction will be completed on XXXX which has not happened yet.

Consumer Complaint: According to the fair Credit Reporting Act, Section 609 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ). You are required by federal law to verify- through the physical verification of the original signed consumer contract- any and all accounts you post on a credit report. Otherwise, anyone paying for your reporting services could fax, mail or email in a fraudulent account. I demand to see the Verifiable Proof ( an original Consumer Contract with my Signature on it ) you have on file of the accounts listed below. Your failure to positively verify these accounts has hurt my ability to obtain credit. Under the FCRA, unverified accounts must be removed and if you are unable to provide me with a copy of verifiable proof, you must remove the accounts listed below.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, I have already filed a complaint about this company but, I am doing a follow-up complaint. My prior complaint was number : XXXX. All of the details and screenshots are included in this complaint. However, I just received the company 's feedback to which they did not resolve my situation at all, purposely added more interest charges and fees to my account and did not at all attempt to contact me or remove the fees as requested. They also did not resolve the fraudulent charges continuing to try taking money from my account. It took the company over a month to repeat to me what they already said over the phone which has now caused my account to lapse even more in fees and is now out of my price range to be able to pay. Due to this, the account in question that simply needed a {$25.00} minimum payment now requires a minimum payment of {$170.00}. I said in my first complaint that Capital One would do this and it is exactly what they have done. On top of that, this company also fraudulently places holds on your account, which makes you account become overdrawn. I had a hold from groceries that I ordered for {$140.00} however, once that payment did finally post for it's adjusted amount, Capital One continued to leave the {$140.00} hold which left my account overdrawn for {$140.00}. When I called them about this matter, they said there was nothing they could do, which I knew was not true, as they had removed the hold in the past when I called back in XXXX of 2022. Capital One holds money, stacks on fees and interest and does not try to help consumers be able to make payments with them. They have no problem with ruining their consumer 's credit and making the card payments raise to ridiculous amounts. They completely dismissed and did not at all address my first complaint and definitely did not validate my fair resolution. As I said before, I would like ALL the interest to be dropped to XXXX and the late payments to be removed from my account, as I did everything I could as well as everything Capital One suggested for making appropriate credit card payments. My credit card having a {$170.00} minimum payment is unfair and illegal, as they are trying to make me pay that from FRAUDULENT charges that I did NOT allow or AUTHORIZE to come out of my account in the first place. When charges are fraudulent that means they were NOT authorized by the cardholder which means I did NOT make those payments which means I am NOT and SHOULD NOT be paying for " interest '' or " late fees '' because of them. Capital One KNOWS this because they also issued me a REPLACEMENT card. I made Capital One aware of a change in my financial situation

Consumer Complaint: CAPITAL ONE CASE : XXXX ACCOUNT EDNING IN XXXX Fraud was happening on my card and i told Capital One about it. Capital hires incompetent people in a foreign country to conduct this " CUSTOMER SERVICE ''. Since the fraud in question is " PENDING '' there is nothing they can do nor " HELP '' their customer to " PREVENT '' it. Instead i get incompetent service to where i am dealing with people that do not know what they are doing, nor do they care at all! XXXX charged my credit card one amount and then charged a different amount after i " checkout '' buy a vacation trip. The amount that i agreed to was not what i was charged! Since this is a vacation trip, it booked a fight and stay in Hawaii. To deal with again, incompetent service from a foreign country to dictate how i can spend my money, rather than being a consumer. The hawaiian flight was no longer available for non-stop flight ; if i did their way on fraud, i will lose the trip i paid for ; between the value of the trip and non-stop flight. Therefore the trip i wanted would have been null. However after dealing with Capital one wonderful incompetent service ; apparently their policies supercedes my constitutional rights as an american citizen. They closed my account down and expect me to pay the remaining balance. First off, Capital one does not have the right do what they do; ESPECIALLY since they have committed treason. Not sure where it is legal for them to send my private information to a foreign country. Given employees in a foreign country of capital one american rights? So USA company can still be on american soil while conducting services on a foreign country? Does the american government tax those foreigners paychecks that is based on an american company? Secondly, Capital One forces american citizens to agree to terms of service ; which strips away our constitutional rights an american citizen has, considering justice in court is now justice with arbitration paid by the corporation to get one sided results, their own justice. In other words, they are above the law? Third, for them to attempt to want money from balance on an account they CLOSED that was always paid on time and also was open for close to 15 years!!! In conclusion, CAPITAL ONE closed my account down NOT on facts of finances, but on facts with words. Fraud was happening ; they did nothing. Defeats the point of " PREVENTING '' or PROTECTING when you do not protect when the customer is stating the problem as its happening! I AM PAYING XXXX MONEY TO CAPITAL ONE! NO MONEY TO THEM! IF THEY WANT THEIR MONEY, then they need to take me to court. They can not have both ways, their way or no way ; again defeats the point of you, government! Since i am not allowed to talk to them, they can XXXX XXXX XXXX to think i will pay them the balance after them doing this to me. By letter in the mail. Thats how i found out. Nice retaliation on by Capital One. Furthermore with the conclusion, how is it i called about fraud and your employee did NOTHING and i called out their bs while instigating me on the phone is that my " behavior '' is the problem? I mean FRAUD did happen, you, capital one still did nothing about it. Is it still my fault for not following up on the telling you about it? In retrospect, i did call about the FRAUD, not about my " BEHAVIOR ''. I guess not only you are my creditor, you are also my " BEHVIOR '' police?!? But not " FRAUD '' police? Like you advertise and market about. SO, lying is ok, but my " BEHAVIOR '' is appalling enough that it warrants you to violate my constituionla rights as american citizen that has foreigner has MORE rights than i do? I am not a slave! Also, did you bother to look that i did call back after your stupid XXXX representative for your company did nothing that another represenative listen to my concern and addressed it to make sure that i had information that not only would protect me, but show you, capital one a problem. Instead you closed my account down because of my " behvior ''. Talk about a coverup, scam, shenanigans, total XXXX excuse on capital one side to make things go away. If i was the problem with my credit card, on not making payments, then i would see an issue. However, telling your incompetent represtative, by the way is a female, and HATES men, how is it my fault again?? CAPITAL ONE = XXXX. I mean, they do support it! I am one person, they are global ; i think CAPITAL ONE is more than a threat than one person! Either way, based on the track record of other legit complaints ; CAPITAL ONE will respond with a letter stating they closed my account down due to my behavior over the phone. Then that is suffcient evidence to conclude that the BIG CORPORATION that supports your paychecks, i mean your taxes. Again, either way, my information will be documented. Thats all that matters to me, so when we finally do to go court. I will show that i TRIED to entrust my government to help, but all i get in the end is just pure incompetence! I can not fix stupid, however stupid dictates!

Consumer Complaint: I am writing this letter to express my disappointment and frustration with the way the creditors have handled my credit account. I had a negative account with which was reported to the credit bureaus and was impacting my credit score negatively. However, I reached an agreement with these companies to pay off the outstanding balance, and they had assured me that the negative account would be removed from my credit report. Despite fulfilling my end of the agreement and paying off the balance in full, I have recently checked my credit report and found that the negative account is still being reported. This has been extremely disappointing and frustrating for me, as I believed that by fulfilling my part of the agreement, the negative account would be removed and my credit score would improve. I would like to request that you take immediate action to remove the negative account from my credit report as per our agreement. I also request that you provide me with written confirmation once this has been done. Please let me know if there is any further information you require from me in order to resolve this matter. Consumer Complaint: I contacted this company for validation of the account and debt they have inaccurately reported to my credit profile. I have found *several* contradicting information on my report that further prove my suspicion of this account being fraudulent and NOT MINE. Attached is proof of the credit report with misinformation differing across the three credit bureaus. I kindly request this item to be removed completely, never to be added back again. I understand that the Fair Credit Reporting Act regulates credit bureaus and collection agencies to ensure proper and accurate reporting for all consumers. In this case, I have not been treated fairly as the reported accounts are continuing to show -- with mismatch information especially. I have contacted Capital One on several occasions regarding the COMPLETE REMOVAL of this account. I called them, and they can't even verify me in their system. How is this account allowed to report to my credit report and negatively affect my credit and personal life when this company can't even verify that I'm an actual customer with them? To add -- I've never even considered using Capital One. I've never received a single piece of mail to my home from Capital One. This account needs to be removed IMMEDIATELY. IT IS HURTING MY PERSONAL LIFE.

Consumer Complaint: Around XX/XX/2023 my bank That I had a checking Account with was Closed due to Suspicious Activity which resulted in Capital One Auto Reversing a payment or part of a payment around the Amount of {$300.00}. Instead Of the Lender Reaching out to me and informing me, I discovered the incident while trying to Pre-qualify for a home loan. The lender Did not Send a delinquency notice By Mail, Email, or attempt to collect By Telephone. The incident caused my credit scores to plummet. I believe when such incidents as such occurs it should be The lenders responsibility to Reach out to the consumer to resolve the matter before making negative remarks. This reversal occurred around 45 days after the payment of {$440.00} was made. My personal Banking Institution Returned the funds reversed By COAF to A new Checking account and If the lender had taken proper Protocol and procedure I could have taken the opportunity to correct the adverse action. However they took it at their own liberty to Report the loan deficient. They did not make any contact with me to inform or allow me the chance to correct the discrepancy causing me to Be Denied of Obtaining A mortgage Pre-approval. The original payment was made and they made the decision to reverse the payment. Without informing me of that, and allowing me to remake that payment to stay current. This affected me and caused me to have to request An loan extension which couldve been used some other time of hardship to become current on the loan

My identity and personal credit report were used without my knowledge or consent. The reporting of this information is in violation of the FCDPA 15 USC 1692c 805 ( b ) Which states : " Except as provided in section 1692b of this title, without the prior consent of the consumer given directly to the debt collector, or the express permission of a court of competent jurisdiction, or as reasonably necessary to effectuate a post judgment judicial remedy, a debt collector may not communicate, in connection with the collection of any debt, with any person other than the consumer, his attorney, a consumer reporting agency if otherwise permitted by law, the creditor, the attorney of the creditor, or the attorney of the debt collector '' My personal credit file is displaying information that is fraudulent and I have attached the Identity theft report as required by FCRA 605B ( 15 U.S.C. 1681c-2 ), Subsection ( b ) ( a ) Block. Except as otherwise provided in this section, a consumer reporting agency shall block the reporting of any information in the file of a consumer that the consumer identifies as information that resulted from an alleged identity theft, not later than 4 business days after the date of receipt by such agency of ( 1 ) appropriate proof of the identity of the consumer ; ( 2 ) a copy of an identity theft report ; ( 3 ) the identification of such information by the consumer; and ( 4 ) a statement by the consumer that the information is not information relating to any transaction by the consumer.
