Consumer Complaint: Ive been paying my car note I financed with Capital one Auto financing a used car that was priced at XXXX so far since having the car Ive paid over {$20000.00} however only XXXX was applied to my actual principal XXXX the bank is still requiring me to pay XXXX more which would total me in at about {$34000.00} I end up paying. I know What is being done to me is illegal and was set in place for me to fail. How can i pay {$20000.00} on a used vehicle that was priced at XXXX and only XXXX be put towards my actual loan. Please help my credit is ruined and i receive public assistance.

Issue: Opening an account

Consumer Complaint: Nine fraudulent accounts have been opened through Capital One under my name, my wife 's name or under our address in the last 6 months. Capital one is impotent in the there ability to defend against fraudulent accounts through their online sign up. We are not customers of Capital one and they continue to send credit card offers through the mail to us. We block all credit card and bank offers through the XXXX opt out. Based on the opt out, we are being harassed by capital one. I need to know my options for taking this to the next level? Do I file a lawsuit? Nothing seems to prevent these idiots from allowing yet another account under our names. Please help...

Issue: Trouble using your card

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I made a payment of {$290.00} on My CapitalOne Card. Usually the payment is posted and available within minutes. I use this card with XXXX pay on my phone. After several days of no available credit. I called customer service. I was told my funds would be held for 26 days. I asked why, I was told CapitalOne has the right to hold payments at any time for any amount of time per Federal credit card guidelines. I asked again what did I do wrong. They could not give me an answer. My money is being held XXXX. Because of this I have incurred overdraft charges in my bank account. I feel like I have been singled out for some reason. Also, approximately a month prior to this I made another payment for {$130.00}. The second I clicked ok for the payment a XXXX block popped up and said your account is locked. I called customer service. They needed to verify that it was me making the payments. I have used the same account for every payment I had to spend 2 hours on a three-way call with Capitoline and my bank.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, My claim with Capital One was denied on XX/XX/XXXX because " The info we got from the merchant shows this is a valid transaction '' for a total of {$900.00}. I initially filed a claim months prior as I had returned 2 orders to XXXX but never received a refund for the orders. In the middle of my return process ( after the items had been shipped ), I received an email from XXXX stating they are closing my account due to duplicate accounts being found. However, the only reason I created a second XXXX account is because my prior account was linked to my student XXXX, which I no longer have access to as I have graduated. Upon calling XXXX numerous times, they were unable to process my refund or locate my package. Therefore, I filed a claim with Capital One to further investigate in XXXX of XXXX. Upon receiving the claim, XXXX reached out to me through email on XX/XX/XXXX, specifically requesting tracking for the package I had returned. Please see photo attached showing proof I provided the tracking label as requested. I never received a response from XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX, presumably as I called Capital One and asked to reinvestigate. As seen attached, I responded to XXXX with all necessary information, yet still did not receive a response, even though they stated someone would get back to me in the next 72 hours. I forwarded all this to Capital One, as told by the representative on the phone, on XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX. I received a response from Capital One on XX/XX/XXXX, stating my claim was denied again due to not providing necessary information, even though I did. I then called Capital One again on XX/XX/XXXX and resent the same email with all information regarding the case as they requested. They then said they would investigate. However, I once again was denied XX/XX/XXXX, stating " we didn't find any errors for this amount after checking the docs the merchant provided. '' Please assist as I been consistently providing information requested by both XXXX and Capital One, only to not only be ignored but ultimately denied.

After this not being available on my account, i was told to wait and keep checking. on XX/XX/23, i spoke to a supervisor from Capital One who told me that there was no balance transfer offer and even though it may have shown that it was part of the offer- Capital One has the discretion to decide who gets balance transfer. This was the only reason i signed up for the card.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing this complaint to cfpb versus Capital One Auto Finance in hopes to gain removal from reporting any negative claim ( s ) asserted inadequately or undemonstrated to be so thereby ensuring my confidence in their reporting integrity. My complaint ( s ) primarily are due to my belief the indicated company has failed to adequately ensure reporting of my personal consumer credit report profile in fact has been done and currently reports appropriately and ONLY so undeniably ethical, fair, truthful, within federally-defined timeliness, with physically verifiableness, and elsewise certifiably validated to be compliant to established mandatorily utilized XXXX Data-filled Field Formatted Reporting Standards without omissions and or deviations from that required used appropriateness which ensures a non-jeopardized degree of integrity reporting allegations versus me satisfying at least the minimal criterion to satisfy the federal and my state 's applicable regulatory mandates for reporting to an extent no lesser than that of a MAXIMUM POSSIBILE ACCURACY AND MAXIMUM POSSIBILITY OF COMPLETENESS! The company indicated either fails to report fairly and to their own industry 's established mandatorily utilized XXXX Compliant standards thereby giving me legitimate concerns the negative information portrayed by the company is either ( i ) not meeting of my state 's applicable regulatory mandates and or expected abided by requisite standards, ( 2 ) is deficient or not proven not to be deficient of the federal regulatory requirements for lawful reporting practices, procedures and processes ( i.e. Standards ) that are deliberately in place to better ensure each any and all claims of negativity versus each any and all consumers by each any and all data reporting furnisher ( s ) and or accepted by each any or all consumer credit reporting repository ( ies ) is in fact done so without deviation from that expected adhered to standard of factually fair, true, correct, timely, adequately complete, confirmed verifiable and validated claims testifiably asserted to that aforementioned maximum possible accuracy and completeness. My contention is the company mention either in ignorance of their own reporting necessities or in willful recklessness and likely willful dereliction has elected to report information not credible in eyes of even their own governing body 's outlined opinion as indicated in XXXX XXXX own XXXX manual ( see XXXX XXXX ) on which is plain as day stated " ANY DEVIATION FROM THESE STANDARDS ( XXXX ) JEOPARDIZES THE INTEGRITY ( believability, if you will ) OF THE DATA ( alleged as reported when reported how was reported, obviously ) '' thereby allowing my concerns to be deemable legitimate giving me the RIGHT I've exercised to CONTEST the indicated company 's inadequately asserted but very conditional PRIVILEGE to report information provably versus me. In my contesting of their privilege to report in this circumstance related to this filed cfpb notice I as well did forward previously not successfully responded to and even here and now currently demanded answered CHALLENGE to the mentioned indicated company for them to demonstrate document proof confirming the information alleged versus me in fact is meeting each any and all aspects of any requisites particularly that of any federally regulated reporting requirements and undoubtable in its assertion of certifiably compliant reporting practices, procedures and processes supposedly in place intended to increase the probity and trustworthiness of each any and all data alleged versus me. I wrote to them about the errors in my report, including dates of last activity, dates opened, dates reported, and payment status, among other things. They claimed to have conducted a thorough investigation, despite the fact that it took them more than 30 days to finish it. However, when I reviewed my report, I found that nothing had changed. The false information is still being reported. Numerous times, my rights have been violated. According to 15 U.S.C. 1681, section 602 A, I have the right to privacy. Section 2 of 15 U.S.C. 1681, Section 604 A.
