Consumer Complaint: I have been receiving bills from a card that I closed in 2020. When I call the company they tell me the account is closed and I should through the bill out. Every month I get a new bill with a late fee and interest. the bill keeps going up each month. Ive tried calling and writing letters and I can not get the problem solved they ignore my letters and keep sending new invoices.

Consumer Complaint: I have a XXXX branded credit card thru Capital One. My complaint is based on Capital One 's deceptive billing and late fee processes. In XX/XX/2023, I had a balance of {$2000.00}, I made a payment for {$200.00} or 10 % of the total balance. After the payment was made, I was informed that my payment was late? I contacted the Capital One to address the concern. They stated that I was reported late based on still owng {$55.00} and an added {$29.00} late fee? I was surprised to hear that the payment went up. I made the payment of {$55.00} totaling {$250.00} for the month. My payment was settled. At that time, I asked the representative, that if I make the same payment ( {$250.00} ) for next month will I be ok, she confirmed. Instead, I made an XXXX payment for {$270.00} to be safe. After that payment I was emailed and texted again that my XXXX payment was late? I contacted the customer service line. This time they increased my late fee to {$40.00}? They stated that because of the XXXX late fee ( although waived ) the payment increased to {$300.00} ( 20 % increase ) for the month? I asked how can this be? The costumer rep stated that although I made the payment to cover the XXXX payment and the fee was waive the XXXX payment does not adjust causing the higher payment and new late fee? I asked how is that legal when the account was made current? They explained " their systems '' do not work that way? Due to this process, consumer misinformation, increasing late fees, and added time and cost, I feel it appropriate for a higher authority look into this company 's billing practices. In today 's economic times of rising rates and payments, Corporations need to do a better job of informing customers of their internal changes and policies that can impact a consumer 's credit profile and ability to have financial options. Through calls with customer service reps and supervisors it appears this company is more focused on charging high fees thru deceptive and predatory practices ( fee charged on late fees ). Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: I did not authorize these credit inquiries on my report. I would like to have them removed from my credit report or have the company provide the application bearing my name and signature and a copy of my ID proving that I was the person that initiated this inquiry. I did not apply for any credit with these companies. Please verify these inquiries and remove them from my credit report. I have stated this information to the creditors and they have not responded to my claim and this information continues to remain on my credit report. Under the FCRA, if the creditor can not validate the origin of the account and its accuracy and authenticity, they are required by law to remove it from being reported to the credit bureaus. This is damaging to my credit rating and causing me a lot of stress.

Consumer Complaint: When I first opened my credit card it was a cash back card. I had read that I can at any time change the rewards cash to points if I opened a credit card with them that had points back with purchases. I did call the company to confirm and it was confirmed. I opened a new card with points reward system and when I called the company now they tell me that I can not do that. I pointed to them that they should have a recording of that conversation and they could refer to that. They tell me it must have been a misunderstanding and they can not do any thing about that. Problem is I was planning a family vacation using those miles and no longer can and the cost would be prohibitive. They should honor what I was told and change the rewards dollars to points.

After following up the matter with Capital One and making more than 20 calls for the close out money to be refunded, on Monday XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX, Capital One Supervisor XXXX XXXX informed me that Capital One will not pay the {$970.00} and will not issue any close out check to me.
