Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account status incorrect
Consumer Complaint: To Whom It XXXX Concern, I have filed multiple disputes with Capital One in regards to the inaccurate reporting on my credit report and nothing has been done to fix the situation. Capital One is inaccurately reporting information on my account in regards to the date the account was closed and a 30 day late payment. I have a letter from Capital One stating that the account was closed on XX/XX/2023. As of my credit report on XX/XX/2023 the account was reporting accurately as closed. The following month the account was then reported as 30 days late in XXXX and closed in May. The month after, the account was reported as closed in XXXX and so forth. As of my most recent dispute, one account is now reporting that the late payment was in XX/XX/2023 and the account was closed in XX/XX/2023. I have been trying to have this situation handled numerous times to no avail and am now demanding it to be fixed. I was suggested to seek legal assistance by the CFPB for next steps and this will be my final attempt to have this situation fixed before doing so. Please have Capital One accounts reflect the accurate date of closure ( XX/XX/2023 ) effective immediately.

Consumer Complaint: Capital One is refusing to remove four fraudulent charges on my credit card, which are totaling {$120.00}. The four charges were placed there by " XXXX ''. I have informed Capital One that these charges are fraudulent on numerous occasions. The charges occurred on the following dates : XXXX and XXXX. I have prior documentation that shows I informed Capital One that all these charges are fraudulent. Importantly, according to FTC Law, Capital one must provide me with documentation and proof that these charges are valid if I ask for it and also provide me the details of their investigation. According to FTC Law : " If the issuer determines that you owe the disputed amount, they must tell you promptly and in writing how much you owe and why, and provide copies of documents that prove you owe the money if requested. '' The preceding statement is from the FTC. I would like Capital One to provide me with this documentation, which is required if I ask for it according to FTC Law. To be clear and underline this point further - the only thing Capital One should provide in their response is the proof and evidence that these charges are valid, which they are required by law to provide if requested. If Capital One feels they have provided this evidence already ( they haven't ), then re-attach it in their response. Capital One is violating the law if they do not provide the proof of these charges that I am requesting. This clear request is in a written and recorded format here. Once again - provide the documentation that proves that these charges are valid in your response.

Consumer Complaint: The existence of a derogatory rating on my account is causing me significant concern. I am deeply worried about its potential impact on my credit. It has already resulted in the denial of a recent loan application and an increase in the interest rates on my existing credit accounts. I want to emphasize the severe financial and emotional distress that this negative rating has caused me and will continue to cause until it is resolved.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased a fully refundable flight on XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2023 for {$720.00}. I later called the airline to cancel the flight, but I never got my refund. I called Capital One to dispute the charge, because I should have received a full refund. They issued a temporary credit, then later they received a response from XXXX XXXX. Capital One simply assumed everything the airline provided was correct, and denied my claim. Their letter of XX/XX/XXXX ( attached ) said they would reopen the claim if I provided them with additional information. I faxed them a copy of my itinerary, as well as the airline 's refund policy. These documents clearly showed that my ticket was fully refundable, and there would be no fees to do so. I received a form letter back saying they weren't going to do anything. Then on XX/XX/XXXX, I sent them another letter ( attached ), addressing each piece of information requested in their XX/XX/XXXX letter, line by line. They responded saying I did not provide the requested information, with yet another form letter. It's clear no one is even looking at the information I am providing, they just believe what the airline says. Capital One has solid evidence from me that the charge should be reversed in the form of letters and documentation. Someone just needs to read it.

I am unsure of what to do from here as this has impacted my credit score and the credit bureaus do not seem to be resolving this issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I scheduled a procedure with XXXXXXXX XXXX in which I paid a deposits/partial payment of {$550.00}, {$280.00} of which was charged on my Capital One Platinum Mastercard credit card. The balance was charged to my XXXX XXXX credit card. I was never given any contract or agreement until after the deposit was made and a link was provided on the invoice of receipt for the terms of patient. This agreement outlined fees and the non refundable policy. It was never made aware to me at any time before I paid my deposit this was considered a booking fee and was non refundable. I was told this was a deposit and would be put toward the cost of XXXX. I complied with all XXXX XXXXXXXX requirements in a timely manner and stayed in communication with XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXXAfter receiving all pertinent documents and clearances, XXXX canceled my XXXX and I was informed I would charged a rescheduling fee for XXXX XXXXXXXX. This is common practice with XXXX XXXX for I learned they have over XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX complaints very similar in nature to mine. I have filed a complaint with XXXX and FTC. I contacted Capital One and XXXX to file a dispute for the charges. I provided over XXXX pages of emails and other documents to Capital One supporting my claim. XXXX granted the dispute and credited my credit card for the partial deposit I paid. Capital One has denied my claim 3 times even after I provided additional documents they requested. I have included all relevant documents with XXXX XXXX and Capital One.
