Issue: Closing your account
Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: For the past two months I have tried to use my XXXX XXXX Visa card. All transactions I tried to complete were declined. Today, I received a notice via XXXX XXXX that my XXXX XXXX card was closed. I called the number on the back of my card and it said " Your account has been closed '' and hung up on me. I called into a back door number to inquire and was told they couldnt discuss it with me, couldnt be appealed, and no one could change the decision if I wanted the card again I had to reapply. I have never been late, never over the limit. In fact every three months since I got the card I have received an increase and my I just received an offer last month for a special purchase rate promotion. The card has not gone inactive either.

Consumer Complaint: I sent a debt validation letter 120 days ago asking for this company to provide me with proof that I own this debt, and they have failed to respond. I then looked at my credit report and noticed that they are still reporting this inaccurate account on my credit report without validating it. The law is clear on this issue, you cant continue report a disputed debt if they failed to validate. Because of their actions, they have violated the FDCPA act which carries a fine of {$1000.00} for every incident, and FCRA for reporting inaccurate information on my credit. This violation also carries a fine of {$1000.00}

Consumer Complaint: There was a Victoria secret card opened fraudulently in my name after having it closed in XXXX I checked my consumer credit report and I realized I had a late payment from XXXX. Which makes no sense because my card was closed in XXXX. This late payment has damaged my consumer credit score on a massive level. It has also caused me to have many inquiries on my account because I was wondering why I wasn't getting approved for cards I qualified for. I called the company they claim they would rectify the issue ASAP by crediting the account. However I logged into my XXXX today and it's still showing that I had a late payment. Which in fact I did not. Lastly the late payment is also fraudulent. Because according to 15 U.S Code 1666 it's a billing error. ( b ) Grace period " If an open end consumer credit plan provides a time period within which an obligor may repay any portion of the credit extended without incurring an additionalfinance charge, such additionalfinance chargemay not be imposed with respect to such portion of the credit extended for the billing cycle of which such period is a part, unless a statement which includes the amount upon which thefinance chargefor the period is based was mailed or delivered to the consumer not later than 21 days before the date specified in the statement by which payment must be made in order to avoid imposition of thatfinance charge. '' They are also committing aggravated Identity Theft because I never gave them consent to report my personal information to any third party source or company. Pursuant to 18 US Code 1028A - Aggravated identity theft.

Issue: Communication tactics
Subissue: Frequent or repeated calls
Consumer Complaint: I have a credit card with Forever21. It is past due, and I am now aware. I plan to make payments soon. Commmenity bank called me 9 times yesterday XX/XX/22. They called me 7 times today. I also got one call from a private number on both of those days and I believe it is from them as well Also : their website is highly unethical. Say you log into your online account to see when your bill is due. If you check within a few days to a week before your bill is ACTUALLY due, the website will instead tell you when the due date of the NEXT billing cycle is. If you check TOO CLOSE to your due date, IT WILL NOT TELL YOU THAT ACTUAL, SOONEST UPCOMING DUE DATE. This is what it did to me. I logged in, thought my bill was due a month out, and didn't make a payment. Next thing I know I'm getting repeated calls. HOURLY. Not only are they harassing me about it, it's a scam to begin with. I should not have to pay any late fees and my credit score should not be affected due to their trickery

I paid off this credit card then they hit me with numerous late fees without ever informing me of the continued charges even though the card was paid off.
