Consumer Complaint: We have a Lane Bryant store credit card. Comenity Bank/Bread Financial has not reported our payments & account balance to the three credit reporting bureaus since XX/XX/2022. We have called them on the following dates, regarding this issue, XX/XX/2022, XX/XX/2022, and XX/XX/2022. Each time we were given a different reason for the account information not being reported, and we still have no resolution to this issue. On XX/XX/XXXX, we were told that they were updating their reporting system, and that the reporting would be done on XX/XX/XXXX. We have had it for two weeks and there was no change in the reporting on our credit reports. On XX/XX/XXXX, we called and were told that the reporting can take up to 60 days, and they offered to have the reporting expedited. We waited until XX/XX/XXXX, and there was still no resolution, so we called again and were told that there is no way to expedite the reporting, and that it can take XXXX to 60 days for the reporting to be completed. Still no resolution to the issue, and another run around.

The credit agencies are not doing their jobs. These companies are not validating this debt. Im getting tired.

Consumer Complaint: Card was applied for and open in late XXXX after going through some verification steps. I had to email documents ( copy of SS Card, Driver 's License, Bank Statement ) and go through some verification over phone. All docs sent were what the agent told me to send. Card came in the mail, it was activated however card is unable to be used. Online phone system says " card was closed '' and agent on phone said " card was closed ''. I need an explanation as to why they said card was approved and then subsequently closed on same day? This has adverse effects on my credit as now I already took the hard credit inquiry and now you will put an account on my credit report in bad standing/ only open for one day which will effect my credit score.

Consumer Complaint: Starting in XX/XX/2022, I have received multipke notifications from XXXX different banks with info about credit card applications that I never made - fraudulent applications apparently made by somebody else using ny name and info. The banks are Comenity Bank, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have received letters from these banks urging me to lift my credit report freeze so they can issue the fraudulent card, and to confirm false fraudulent address changes that I did not make. I have written letters to all these banks or called them to warn them of the identity theft and to cancel these applications or accounts. XXXX of the banks, Comenity and XXXX XXXX XXXX, have sent me letters about additional fraudulent credit card applications after I already warned them that these are fraudulent. In my opinion, it is fraud and harassment to continue to process multiple fraudulent applications after I told them about the identity theft, and this poinr the banks have been so unresponsive that I suspect one if them, Comenity, is making the fraudulent applications themselves internally.
