Consumer Complaint: In the sale & transfer of a credit card portfolio between major banks ( XXXX 's to Comenity ), I accidentally directed a sizeable payment from my XXXX deposit account to my Mastercard account number at XXXX 's. The payment has neither been refunded by XXXX 's, nor remitted to Comenity on my behalf despite my inquiries. Proof that XXXX 's processed and accepted my funds in the amount of {$1800.00} has been furnished to XXXX 's by XXXX. Despite this, and multiple phone calls to XXXX 's, this issue has not been resolved. Following this, I reached out to Comenity to try and resolve this issue ; I sent a detailed breakdown of the payments as follows : XX/XX/2022 - {$230.00} XX/XX/2022 - {$460.00} XX/XX/2022 - {$1800.00} - these payments were to XXXX 's ( not realizing the account had been sold to Comenity XX/XX/2022 ). Also, I'd looked at the wrong amount when I made the final payment of {$1800.00}. The original charge to the account was in the amount of {$1800.00} Upon receiving statements from Comenity Bank saying I still owed {$1400.00}, I realized the account had been moved from XXXX 's. Filing disputes with both XXXX 's and Comenity, I continued making payments so as not to accrue anymore late payments. The following payments were made to Comenity as follows : XX/XX/2022 - {$29.00} XX/XX/2022 - {$370.00} XX/XX/2022 - {$1000.00} In conclusion, I have paid {$2500.00} to XXXX 's and {$1400.00} to Comenity Bank for a total of {$3900.00}, when the original charge was {$1800.00}. XXXX 's has completed its investigation- per a letter from their Office of the President- and haven't located the missing funds. It is now in the hands of Comenity Bank. Thank you, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I purchased a 5 karat diamond engagement ring on a promotional plan with 40 % off. I got the ring from Zales from XXXX XXXX in XXXX, WI in XX/XX/XXXX with 18 months to be paid off and avoid {$20000.00} in interest. I also purchased another ring from the same store and the sale person explained to me that now that I have two accounts I must call Comenity Bank when I make a payment to request the funds to allocate to which ever account to be applied. Second purchase was on XX/XX/XXXX another promotion plan with 12 months to pay off. I made a {$400.00} payment and called it in to be allocated for plan XXXX, which is the first purchase. When I received my summary I noticed three plans in which it should only be two. I called the Bank and explained my payment wasnt applied and there is an additional account on my bill and requested an investigation and was told how to proceed to their website and make the complaint. I did and they notified me that someone at the company opened up a non- promotional plan and allocated the funds to the account.My funds were allocated to the account that I intended and paid the plan XXXX off on time. Plan XXXX is the only thing I should be paying for but, I noticed the Revolving charge account is still active on my account. I called back to ask for it to be removed and had to repeat the process for an investigation 3 more times.This bad practice is intended to frustrate the customer and reps starting to be rude and disrespectful. I last contacted the bank on XX/XX/XXXX to inquire about the investigation and how much is the balance on my bill and the rep wouldnt let me talk to a manager or supervisor

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/22 I checked my XXXX credit report and found a credit card had been opened in my name. The Company which issued the card is XXXX XXXX XXXX a {$750.00} balance. The account was opened on XX/XX/22 and a wire transfer was done for {$750.00} on XX/XX/22. I did not open this account and have no idea who the card issuer is or where they do business. I contacted the company and had the account closed and asked for it to be removed from my credit report. they are " investigating '' it. I recently found it on my XXXX report as well. I have contacted both credit agency and informed them of the inaccurate information. After XXXX days I received a email from XXXX stating that they investigated and found the information was correct. That's not possible because I never opened the account.

Consumer Complaint: I had my payment set for XX/XX/XXXX. After somehow seeing the payment auto-deducted on the XXXX ( showed up on my bank account XXXX ) I was not happy but if they took the one time payment I wouldnt be pleased but no, that entire charge XXXX was 100 % fraudulant and unauthorized. On XX/XX/XXXX I logged in to make sure they didnt charge me again, and as stated above, they had. I do not and have never had auto-pay set up with them. The payment was not even due until XX/XX/XXXX. The payment was still pending but their exact words were there is nothing we can do, dispute it with your bank. And so I did. Too bad the charge from the XXXX didnt show up on my bank account until the XXXX, so they didnt see the double payment yet and deemed the charge as fine, even though I explicitly explained it was unauthorized. When it did show up on the XXXX, I had to file another dispute. Only this time, my bank froze my bank account for 2 weeks. I have had late payment after late payment for other bills because Comenity Bank basically stole money from me and wont give it back, and expect another payment this month : The money they fraudulently took on the XXXX they refuse to return. They have now locked my account and when I try to log in all I get is we are having technical difficulties. The stress and turmoil I have had to deal with is not only completely unacceptable, its straight up illegal. I am considering taking legal action against them. Comenity bank is the lender for my XXXX credit card, and just so happens to be the lender for a few of my other credit cards. I fear retribution : I fear them deciding to charge me whatever they want whenever they want and no consequences.

Consumer Complaint: This is a XXXX XXXX card with Comenity Capital Bank. I paid this card off in full on XXXX. And I was planning to shut this card down and discontinued using it for the remainder of the year. On XXXX a fee of {$2.00} was charged. Then again on XXXX ( {$2.00} ), the again on XXXX ( {$2.00} ), then again on XXXX ( {$6.00} ), then again on XXXX ( {$2.00} ), then again on XXXX ( {$14.00} ), then again on XXXX ( {$2.00} ). On XXXX I received notification of my credit score declining and saw that this card was marked delinquent. I immediately paid {$30.00}. To cover the fees. No one can answer me what the fees are for and they weren't posted until nearly a month after the balance was paid in full. This is immoral and wrong. I'm not as upset about the money as I am the decline in my credit score.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to you today because every month, my credit score dips roughly a number of points as a result of a misunderstanding between me and Comenity BankXXXX XXXX Credit Card XXXX In XXXX of XXXX I opened a XXXX XXXX credit card at a store in XXXX, Illinois and purchased a pair of boots as well as sunglasses. These were to be shipped to my home address in XXXX XXXX. I never received the package, so I didnt pay for purchases on the credit card. There was a triangular conversation happening between myself, my apartment building and the delivery service. I later learned that the package was either lost or ( most likely as this happened to others ) stolen from my apartment doorstep. I also was not receiving mail nor did I receive a physical J Crew card with which to set up an online account. At this point in XXXX, I called and let XXXX XXXX know while simultaneously making a payment for my sunglasses which I purchased and received. In the meantime, unbeknownst to me Id been hit with a late charge despite having not received the package. And keep in mind that I am also not receiving email or physical mail at this point- or phone calls! So completely in the dark, I am getting charged late fees on an order that never arrived. Fast forward to today and I have a hefty bill full of late fees ( no principal because no order was received ) but even worse I have a suffering credit score. My score sits at XXXX and continues to take hits as a result of this.

Consumer Complaint: Got a notice about a new credit card added to my credit report by COMENITYBANK/SONYXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, OH XXXX I have not authorized this credit card, or credit check by that company. The credit inquiry was done on XX/XX/2022, and reported on XX/XX/2022. I have called the company, and asked them to close the account. They had an address in another state for this account. They said that they are closing the account. But did not receive any confirmation, gave them my email address as well as home address.
