Consumer Complaint: In early XXXX of 2023, I made an attempt to use my Torrid store card, only to find that it was not functioning. Surprisingly, my card had a XXXX balance and had remained unused since XX/XX/2023. Seeking answers, I reached out to Comenity bank via phone, where I was informed that my card had been locked due to inactivity. To reinstate it, they required a credit check. However, when asked if I wanted to proceed with the credit check, I politely declined. The call ended without any further action. Feeling perplexed, on XX/XX/2023, I decided to contact Comenity bank once again, this time through their website 's mail service. I wanted to understand why my card was still not functioning despite having available funds. To my surprise, I received a message stating that they had conducted another credit check without my consent. They assured me that a letter regarding my account would be sent to me via mail. Today, on XX/XX/2023, I reached out to Comenity bank once more, seeking clarification. To my dismay, I was informed that indeed, Comenity had pulled my credit report without my consent. This unauthorized action is clearly fraudulent, and I am now reporting these transactions accordingly.

Consumer Complaint: I had a XXXX balance on this card so when I traveled to XXXX XXXX on XXXX this is the card I chose to take. I knew that I had a cash limit of {$400.00} when I paid the card off in XX/XX/2023. I also checked the XXXX statement before I left and it also shows {$400.00} available. Once in New Jersey I kept getting declined for cash. I called customer service and the first person was no help. I asked for a supervisor and she stated that she couldnt see why they lowered the line. I advised that I didnt even receive a notification stating that it would change and thats bad customer service. The line hung up on their end so I called back. Got the second person and she too couldnt see why it was decreased and basically there was nothing they could do about it. That line hung up as well. When I called back I was upset. Got a third supervisor and she was the most helpful even there couldnt help. They can show you my record. Ive never had an issue with paying my card and I hasnt used it for a few months prior to this trip. I feel like I was unfairly singled out and if they dont make it right I will reach out to their HQ.

Consumer Complaint: I had a XXXX credit card through Comenity Bank. I always paid my card in full and on time. I paid my final balance and closed the card on XX/XX/2020. Last spring, I got a phone call from Comenity Bank asking why I was delinquent on my payments. While talking with the customer service rep, I discovered a charge had been put through on my canceled card. I have called the company numerous times and talked to many people. Some are helpful, others are verbally abusive and have accused me of attempting to defraud the company. I have waited hours on hold, only to told the problem has been handled, or to be disconnected. I wrote them a letter trying to resolve this issue. The response was to call them at the same number I've been dialing for over a year! Today I got an email from XXXX, who just bought my " debt ''. I am furious and making good on the threat to contact your bureau if Comenity didn't resolve this. I'm sending a copy of a statement they sent me, a copy of the letter I sent them, and information about the " debt '' they sent to collections. Since the account was closed nearly 3 years ago, I no longer have my account number.

This has been going on for XXXX years and Victorias secret dont even have my payment history in their system anymore to prove what I am saying about paying off my account. Victorias secret was contacted on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX funding was also contacted on XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX and the amount in their system as well as the amounts from the bills that I have do not match up. XX/XX/XXXX received a letter from XXXX/Comenity closing my account as requested XX/XX/XXXX received letter from XXXX/Comenity stating they need additional information ( again ) XX/XX/XXXX I US mailed the same information previously sent XXXX via secure message along with a cover letter that I would be happy to have a conference call with my bank XX/XX/XXXX received letter from XXXX/Comenity stating they are unable to verify they received the funds. XX/XX/XXXX Used the XXXXComenity secured message center to complain of the on-going inability to determine where my payment was applied. Again I offered to conference call my bank to resolve. XXXX Sunday received a call attempting to collect the past due amount- explained the amount is in dispute. XX/XX/XXXX received a response from XXXX/Comenity via their secured message center stating the issue was resolved ( i.e. their final determination was they can't find my payment ) XX/XX/XXXX respond via the XXXXComenity secured message center that I was filing this complaint.
